I love TGTG and use it very often

I love TGTG and use it very often. It's a great way to get cheap food or try new restaurants and bakeries or get food when I'm not in the mood to cook. The only downside is that it seems as if people have figured out automated ways to get the premium/ favorite choices, so while in the past, I used to get them sometimes, I never, never do anymore. They're gone within one second of appearing. I think the notification system has to be altered to prevent this kind of gaming the system. Other than this, great!

I only tried two places

I only tried two places. I got 13 bagels and they were amazing, fresh and delicious. I also try a Chinese buffet. It was ok but I don’t think it was enough. I paid almost $7.50 n wanted to split it with my daughter.I gave her most of it. My suggestion would be not to give white rice in the container. Nobody wants white rice when the place is a buffet.

So disappointed with Mochi Donuts

Did my first Too Good To Go order. Was excited. It was a $24 value at Mochi Donuts. It’s 40 min away. I drive there. When I said I was there to pick up order, worker walked into walk in cooler and came out empty handed. She then grabbed a small styrofoam container and grabbed 3 donuts off the racks. It was 2 plain and 1 glazed. All the donuts a $3 something each. I was given $9 worth of donuts (plain ones at that) and I paid $8.59 for the Too Good To Go box. I was so disappointed. I then drove home 40 min with 3 donuts that were a $9 value. I’m so upset. I did get insured a refund but that company clearly did not follow the whole point of stop Good to Go.

The experience on the app was good

The experience on the app was good, the baked goods were a good mix and mostly still quite tasty. The wait in the restaurant was too long so I went through the drive thru to get it. Overall enjoyed the price and the experience.

Thanks for your review, we are very sorry to hear that your Surprise Bag felt like it had a poor range of products and didn't feel like a real bargain.
If your bag felt insufficient or like it wasn't a good deal, then the establishment did not meet our quality standards.

It's the first time i have used this…

It's the first time i have used this company . I bought a pastries bag for £2.99 that should be at a value off £9.00 that what was advertised. When I went to collect i was told to pick two pastries that they had . The value of the pastries was £3.50 each . So the total value £7.00 Not £9.00 as advertised.. so just two items !!!

Give Them Cake:Shifting Values in bakeries

1. too little product (3 rolls) for 39dk
My complaint is more about the trend I see evolving:
1. bakeries advertise via an image on TGTG they are selling bread, but the majority of the time what you get is leftover sweet sugary products and no bread. When this happens repeatedly, one tends to stop buying.
2. They have figured out that to increase profit/decrease losses, they have switched to either increasing prices or giving less product. This in my mind diminishes the TGTG credo.... which it more valuable to the bakeries then to the consumers.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your recent experiences have left you disappointed.

We understand your concerns regarding both the quantity of items received and the difference between the products advertised and the contents of the Surprise Bag. While the exact contents depend on what surplus food is available on a given day, the bag description and images should help set realistic expectations, and the overall value should reflect what is advertised in the app.

We also appreciate your broader comments about pricing and perceived value. Maintaining a fair balance between helping partners reduce food waste and providing a worthwhile experience for users is important to us, and feedback like yours helps us better understand how customers perceive that balance.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for supporting the mission of reducing food waste.

Bullllllshit

Bullllllshit. Day after day I get notifications that Panera has $5 bags of leftover pastries and they just sold out of ANYTHING healthy or meal-like from the only place in my region offering groceries - Wholefoods. So I signed up to get notified when they're available. Nope. Day after day: we just ran out! Check back tomorrow. Nope, I will not. You're either lying or users are gaming the system and screwing over everyone else. Delete my account bc I uninstalled this waste of time app.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with our notification system and the limited availability of bags in your region.

Because the contents of our Surprise Bags depend entirely on the surplus items stores have left over at the end of the day, quantities can be highly unpredictable, and popular locations often sell out extremely quickly. We understand how discouraging it is to repeatedly miss out when you are trying to reserve a bag.

To safely and securely process your request to delete your account, please reach out to our team directly through the help center in the app. We appreciate you giving our app a try and hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to our food-saving mission in the future.

Friendliness of the workers

For me the thing that made everything better was the awesome attitude of the workers that helped me, I let them know it was my first time using the app and that I was new to the area so it is a good way to try new places and save some money at the same time. I will definitely be going back to the places I've used.
