No loyalty...
I have been an existing customer for many years with my two cars. One of my policy (for EG18 NFT) got expired when I was away from UK and I tried couple of times to renew the policy by calling as failed to do it online for some reason. Since I was abroad, the calls didn't go through till the end. When I came back to UK, I wanted to renew the policy but had to apply as a new customer (TYA/00108176). As a result, the premium has got doubled and I am not happy at all now so thinking to change the insurance company not only for one policy but also for both. Would not recommend to anyone.

We issue renewal quotes approximately 21 days before the expiry date of your policy as per our regulatory obligation outlined in the Policy Terms.
Providing your renewal quotation in advance gives customer the opportunity to review their options, obtain competitive quotations from other providers, and make an informed decision about whether they wish to renew their policy.
Once your policy has lapsed, there is a limited window during which we may be able to retrieve your renewal quotation. After this period has passed, you would need to obtain a new business quotation. Renewal quotations are designed to help ensure continuous cover and avoid any interruption to your insurance.
We do provide the option to automatically renew your policy each year, providing peace of mind that your cover will continue without interruption. You can opt out of automatic renewal at any time if you prefer to make alternative arrangements.

Unfortunately, the additional products that can be applied to our policies are only applicable at the point of purchasing a policy as these run for a year and coincide with the insurance purchased.
Whilst I appreciate you are not happy this could not be applied, we cannot add these to a policy after the point of purchase.

There is something wrong with the chat,because I was hoping to have car insurance but the web site chat,1,I was misled and 2nd it said I want tow bar cover when I did not.
Now I have to pay £30 to cancel
