Useful for professionals but overpriced for casual traders
I’ve been using TradingView for quite a while, and while it’s a powerful platform overall, it definitely has its pros and cons. The Essential plan costs $14.95 per month, but honestly, it doesn’t add much compared to the free version. Many of the extra features feel limited unless you move to the higher tiers.
I also noticed that data for some new altcoins, especially those not listed on major exchanges yet, can be inaccurate or delayed. This can be frustrating if you rely on precise data for trading. The Ultimate plan, which costs $199.5 per year, offers the widest range of tools and indicators, but it’s too expensive and unnecessary for beginner traders who are still learning the basics.
On the positive side, the Economics section is outstanding for fundamental analysts. It includes reliable macro data like GDP, government spending, and more, sourced from trusted sites such as Reuters, which makes it a great research hub.
overall Tradingview is the best platform for analysis and trading compared to other competitors such as Metatrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and cTrader
THE NEW FEATURE OF HAVING TO SPEND 10 MINUTES DEALING WITH A CHAT BOT BEFORE YOU CAN EMAIL SUPPORT IS RIDICULOUS!
Tradingview all in all is a good platform.
THE NEW FEATURE OF HAVING TO SPEND 10 MINUTES DEALING WITH A CHAT BOT BEFORE YOU CAN EMAIL SUPPORT IS RIDICULOUS! STOP BEING CHEAP/OR GREEEDY OR CHARGE MORE MONEY AND ALLOW PAID PLANS TO EMAIL SUPPORT!
In regards to actually trading if you have multiple charts open/a different symbols on one layout. They all will all have the same atm/stop loss and targets and there is no way to have each instrument/symbol with their own atm. Are you going to have the same stop loss and target with gold, oil and the ES of course not!
But you have to go and manually change each time want you to trade a different instrument which takes time and these markets move fast!
Terrible site
Terrible site, if you are anti alts you can say all you want.,if you react to that you got banned.
Refunds are nog giving .
It’s a scam
I would give zero stars for the desktop…
I would give zero stars for the desktop app – constant issues all the time. That’s why I only use TradingView via browser. -0 stars for the Windows app!
Also, the pricing is extremely expensive.
Scam site making fake news articles
This is a SCAM, they make fake news sites like the one below making it look like a BBC news site and they take your money and send fake crypto for it, they are possibly related to Thames AI as the fake news page mentions Thames AI often but TradingView actually are behind it if you "sign up"
NO SUPPORT for such a large platform…
NO SUPPORT for such a large platform its horrible if you have any problems they have unfortunately gotten too big for their own good HATE them
horrible to non existent support
Curiously the flagship features of the…
Curiously the flagship features of the charting software, which convinced me to sign up, proved immediately unreliable. The promised advanced scripting environment triggered constant errors, making sophisticated backtesting nearly impossible. Furthermore, the supposed "instant" market data displayed noticeable latency spikes precisely when volatility demanded real-time accuracy. This operational shortfall resulted in a week of frustration and considerable early dissatisfaction, leaving me ready to cancel the annual commitment. My confidence in the platform’s technical foundation was severely shaken.
Such evident flaws demanded a serious response. Upon raising the complaint through the official channels, I braced for the typical corporate run-around. Instead, the subsequent interaction with Fos-grove was strikingly efficient. They initiated an internal review immediately, and a senior agent contacted me, exhibiting genuine professional respect and zero defensiveness. They openly acknowledged the issues without offering excuses, explaining the root cause a temporary server migration glitch and committing to a strict, fixed timeline for resolution. The problem was rectified promptly, restoring stability and proving that their commitment to accountability, spearheaded by Fos-grove, comfortably exceeds the platform’s initial technical shortcomings. This level of service commitment is what ultimately salvages a poor first impression.
If you join tradingview I suggest to…use the free version
If you join tradingview I suggest to take the free version. All subscription upgrades are basicly all scams. I upgraded a few times but I never got an upgraded subscription. Support is not available, only an AI Chatassistant, so If the chatassistant cannot help you are doomed. I have the ultimate account with first priority support, but also that is not given to you.
Very poor service
Very poor service . Regularly getting trades cancel on me when setting a stop loss . I know I'm not doing wrong. Sick of this app losing me money . Please do yourself a favour and avoid .
There is a reason 95% of traders fail
There is a reason 95% of traders fail, and it’s because they use TradingView. The app is a piece of trash, and you can absolutely expect it to glitch and not load properly, especially from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, when the market is the busiest. I kept upgrading my internet, thinking that was the issue, and now I have fiber optic, and still experience major issues. Customer service and help with this is non existent despite my repeated requests and complaints. They are 100% working for the market makers. This is disgusting they allow this behavior and flagrant rip off to continue. I finally started making money once I ditched them, and I had to share that with everyone out here continually blaming yourself. It’s rigged all the way, right from the start, on your supposedly industry leading charting platform. It’s a rip off and a scam. Chart on your platform, not trading view
Free trial deception
I was trying out their platform, so I enrolled in their trial to be able to interact with other traders. However, apparently, they don't allow trial accounts to comment on the 'discussions' section, nor create 'ideas'. I tried contacting customer support, but they don't allow trial accounts to contact support. What is the point of a trial if I can't use basic features? I think I'll try out other platforms because this did not allow me to try out their product before I pay full price.
I love trading view
I love trading view. never have had any issues. Super straightfoward and fairly priced. I have been using it for over 5 years!
App good but glitch too much .
App good but glitch too much .. sometimes you try opening the app with a mobile device the watch list will load but the chat wont load .. the app glitch too much this is not because of poor network but the app
They will charge you until the end of…
They will charge you until the end of the earth!
I don't have an active subscription yet they have been trying to charge me - without upgrading apparently I can speak to customer services to stop them from trying to take money. Really dumb (or smart depending how you look at it).
Eightcap's connection to Tradingview is worst I've ever had
Eightcap's connection to Tradingview is the worst I've ever encountered among the various brokers I've used. Connection failures, I can't close several trades, resulting in losses, and I receive terrible support from both platforms. Interestingly, neither Tradingview nor Eightcap takes responsibility for the issues. Each blames the other for the problems, and neither is responsible for my losses.
Misleading and Overpriced
Horrible experience, limited plans and NO DATA included in the Essential plan to actually trade current prices!!! What's the point? Ridiculously scammy, misleading, overpriced.
DO NOT recommend.
Best charts out there, but...
Trying to get help from support is horrible. I used to be able to contact them, but now they have a chat assistant that made me go in circles without helping me. Their charts can be buggy and seems to slow my computer down at times, so I have to shut it down and start over. I do believe, overall, they are the best charts out there, but it is starting to get annoying and if they are going to keep their support like it is now, then I may have to go back to using Metatrader. It has become very buggy.
I cant get any help
I cant get any help, if you cant sort it out with their piss poor chat bot you are left hanging and have no way of talking to somenoe with an IQ over 10 to get the problem sorted, I would find a platform that respects their customers more than to take their money and run, and I guess the out of 10 score says it all
