It was quick and easy.

Used them before. Have never filed a claim but they will cover a non-traveling immediate family member. Easy to use the web site too.

Did not need the travel insurance for this trip, but it was great to know that Travel Guard had our back if we did.

Recommended by friends who travel often and have, unfortunately, filed claims, TG offers clear options and competitive pricing. I am comfortable having insurance coverage well ahead of next year's international travel.

Customer Service & Claims Processing are excellent! Every time I called for questions, and adjustments, each associate takes time to explain patiently the process and provides detailed guidance for how to file the claim. Best in class experience!!

The coverage is not comprehensive and has hidden limits to what you can use the insurance for. You will not receive an immediate refund but instead must file a claim, which most likely will be denied.

Please do not get the travel insurance. I had been deployed for 9 months and was going to come visit my wife before going back out for another month, but our deployment got cut short and we had to cancel the room. Good thing we payed for the insurance, WRONG!!!!! Travel guard will deny your claim unless you have the Declaration of Independence. Their insurance is a scam and the company needs to be exposed. I call and all they say is read terms and conditions. I am being robbed of 1,000 dollars and travel guard is getting rich. No love for the people who defend this country and keep you filthy animals rich.

Directions were easy to follow and I appreciated the checklist that allowed me to compare options. Hopefully, I will not need to use the insurance, but if so, I hope claims are as easy.

We bought Travel Guard insurance through our airline, United, when we booked our flights. Travel Guard requires that you cancel within 15 days to get a refund. We were past that time frame when United informed us that a flight time had changed, and therefore we were entitled, by federal law, to a refund. Because the new flight started at 5 a.m., we canceled and got a refund from United, no problem. But Travel Guard refused a refund, even though we obviously could not have canceled before the 15 days. I asked them to explain how we could possibly have canceled the insurance when we didn't know the flight time would change and never got an answer. Don't buy this insurance.

Worst Insurance to buy. Bought for trip to Japan in June 2026, flight delayed by weather and received letter indicating they delayed which forced me to have to cancel flight due to logistic with hotel and transportation. Hotel understood and refunded, not all, some money along with transport once arrived. Alaska Airline declined to refund money and Travel Guard declined to refund since airline did not write flight delayed due to weather. Insurance won't accept that airline is at fault and don't want cover delay caused by weather.
