Apple Pay now with the current account PLUS when having a little trouble getting it set-up I was able to use new Chat functionality in the mobile app where Samantha was super helpful in guiding me. What's not to love, honest, ethical banking, great mobile app, Apple Pay, great customer service. 💚

I've had an account with Triodos for some time now.
I like the fact they're ethical, but they lose stars for being behind on their technology at the expense of their customers.
Their technology offering has improved since I've been a customer but it really doesn't seem to compare to modern day banking, and I don't think the fact they're an ethical bank is sufficient reason for this, especially with the £3 a month fee.
The biggest annoyance for me at the moment is the slow faster payments. I've checked their website today and in fairness they have now updated it to say that faster payments are not immediate and are within 2 hours, but despite this setting of expectation, every single other bank I've used has faster payments that arrive immediately. This makes it frustrating when transferring payments between a few of my bank accounts as I regularly do when managing my finances.
Additionally, I've had one instance where my salary didn't arrive until 2PM on the due date, despite my employer paying it on time. Again, this is 'sticking within the industry limits of a BACS payment' but other banks exceed industry standard and the customers face the brunt of these delays. I believe they are limited in what they can do due to the fact their clearing account is with NatWest banking group.
Improvement to these annoyances will go a long way for Triodos.
Edit since Triodos response: Based on the response, I think Triodos have missed the point. Faster payments with Triodos are always within the two hour window in my experience, but are not immediate, unlike with other banks. This is whether or not payments are flagged for review. My salary I mentioned in my review is a different point, and was via BACS not via FP, with the delays not as the result of my payment being flagged, as Triodos has no sight of the money until your second batch run with NatWest group, at 2PM.

The reviews on here are false i opened a account not even activated the card to use and i transferred £300 from my other account to this within two days they blocked the account asking me why am travelling to uae and oman this is a disgrace how they can do this and then changing £3 monthly i asked then to close the account and return my funds immediately still yet no actions have been done I personally recommend this disgraceful service to anybody who wants to open a bank account it’s like a scam

I moved from a High Street bank to Triodos because i wanted to be with a more ethical bank. The move was simple and efficient, the app is easy to use and navigate and so far no real issues with the service.
However, a couple of things:
1. Unlike other banking apps, there's no way to view upcoming direct debits on my current account (only standing orders). I used to find this really useful with my previous bank when budgeting and tracking payments through the month.
2. This weekend (I'm writing this on Sunday)there was a warning that due to 'essential maintenance' payments would be delayed. I think it said until 2.30pm yesterday. But the message is no longer there, and I have 6 payment that should have gone out but are still just showing as 'reservation'. (One of those was a birthday gift for a friend yesterday).
And there's no one at Triodos I can contact at weekends...

Excellent customer service, which actually felt like talking to a person. No script - just an actual conversation about the problem I was experiencing in accessing the app on my phone after a factory restore, and what could be done to help. The way the app works is brilliant. Access to accounts is quick, easy and secure. I needed to cash in an ISA, but I had forgotten my user name and password so I had to 'phone Triodos. There was no delay and the person I spoke to was knowledgeable and helpful. It was suggested that I download the app and doing so enabled me to quickly regain access to my account. I now intend to open a current account.
