No longer of value

When it works, it's prone to constant buffering even on fast broadband. Now, it doesn't work at all. The home page is visible but all Watch Live channeld are dead.
For a system that is supposed to stream TV, it falls at the first hurdle. It doesn't stream. Useless and off-putting in terms of asking for Premium subscriptions when the basic system does not work.

Absolutely useless password system

Absolutely useless password system. Bought a second TV and streaming device. Tried to enter account details. Would not work. Changed password using reset link. Would not work.

Now says account not recognised on both streaming devices. This player is a heap of rubbish and the customer service is useless. I would not recommend this streaming service.

Unhappy.

So you had to go and repair something that wasn't broken,
Could have done without the upgrade,
Now I can't get any channels at all without refreshing so many times,
Not even a picture on the BBC channels, sound yes but no picture,
go figure, TVPLAYER.

Unable to install TVPlayer

Unable to install TVPlayer on my either of my bedroom TV's. I have signed up for the premium option as I wanted the History and Nat Geo channels which I can't get on Freeview. Although I have installed it on my Samsung Tablet that is not sufficient as I don't wish to watch a programme on a small hand held device. I shall cancel my subscription and am disappointed that not all tv's will stream it.

frustrated by buffering of tv progs

despite having fibre broadband installed (100Mbps) I am surprised that we still experience a frustrating amount of buffering to tv programmes we aim to watch between 17.00 and 19.00 and again at 21.00 +

Bad service. Don't deliver on promises.

Where is our new app for fire stick that was promised in January TV PLAYER? Still freezes and closes channels. Also Chanel 4 just keeps repeating sentences now. ITS NOW FEBRUARY AND THE SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE AND NO NEW PREMIUM CHANNELS THAT WERE ALSO PROMISED.

Not good for a sensory impaired audience.

So sorry to have to award just 3 stars because I do like the app but the absence of sub titles means I am unable to appreciate programs fully, and likewise audio description for sight impaired audience, does not merit 5 stars.

Avoid

I trialled this, then paid for a year's subscription.

I won't be renewing it.

Regular freezes, sometimes making any content unwatchable. Regular removal of paid subscription channels without notification. Often, the app just won't start at all.

Not worth it, unless you have absolutely no other way to watch free-to-air TV and even then, it'll be annoying more often than worthwhile.

Thankfully, I subscribed via Amazon and so cancelling it was easy.

Avoid.

Up and down

Up and down. Some days the app works fine on the fire stick but recently, its been a pile of crap. Have to restart the fire stick daily to make it work after sleeping

Greedy Business.

I signed up to try this service just to see Globo as it is not available in any other service in UK. and cancelled just after a couple of months as the channel never worked... Or I thought I have cancelled.

What I did cancel was just the additional service for a specific Globo channel (that never worked) but I did not realised I have to cancel the overall subscription (stupid me I know).

Just realised I was charged for the subscription for over 14 months (stupid me I know) but following contacting the company they would only return last three months. I am upset because they know I did not use the service and it is clearly fair to return all my money.

I am leaving one star as a gesture of good will for the "good will" gesture they have made to get me three months money back.

Good luck. I am a client of amazon prime, Netflix and Sky, but will never be of TVPlayer.com.

This service has gone downhill

This service has gone downhill. Used to really enjoy the service with the likes of eden and natgeo channels and other premium channels.
Since the random changes, its gone downhill.
Also watched on roku, then told theyre not supporting it anymore via email.
Dont use this service, premium content is poor. If you want some similar premium channels like the old ones, move to NowTV entertainment like I have.
Wouldnt be suprised to see this site closing down in the future after the poor changes.

from bad to worse

Cancelling my subscription as the service has deteriorated so much that to pay for it is a complete rip off. No notification that channels are disappearing. On demand choices are woeful. Save your money.

This is a terrible app

This is a terrible app. Most of the good channels disappeared after I paid and subscribed. Channels that are left constantly stop working and TV Player app closes and stops working. We can rarely access Channel 5 as it always says unable to load stream. I find it really poor that this is the only way to watch live tv on the amazon fire stick.

Constant streaming and crashing

Used to be decent and I even subscribed premium but that then got canceled a long time ago due to app issues. Now watching the free version and it's just as bad of not worse. When watching a programme, part way through it will go back to the main menu making you have to select the channel again. Even normal channels ITV and channel 4 won't load stream or freeze. I Advise people not to subscribe and you would be better off watching Freeview. Data and cache cleared on a daily basis and make no difference. Shame as it used to be a decent app. what's gone wrong TV player?

Used to be good. Now it’s terrible. Endless buffering, loss of service mid programme, very slow to load.. the list goes on. Waste of money.

I now watch tv directly from iPlayer, itv hub channel 4 hub etc.
