Ordered from West Virginia Fried Chicken via Uber Eats (order #6BC9B). Delivery massively delayed as driver took another order first. Contacted driver—they were outright rude and abusive.
Cancelled immediately as food was pointless by then.
Customer service flat-out refused refund, claiming "order was with driver" despite no delivery. This breaches UK Consumer Rights Act 2015—service not provided with care/skill. Zero accountability.

I am submitting this feedback to highlight the unacceptable service I experienced with my recent Uber Eats order. On 12th April at 19:27, I placed an order and waited for over 1 hour and 40 minutes. During this time, three different drivers were allocated, headed towards the restaurant, and then cancelled, with no explanation provided.
I contacted customer support three times, but each representative gave unhelpful responses. I was repeatedly advised to wait until the latest arrival time, and I was also told that the order was handled by “partners” and delays were possible. However, Uber Eats needs to understand that as an Uber One customer, I placed my order through the Uber Eats app, not directly with any partners. Therefore, I expect Uber Eats to take full responsibility for the service provided.
The arrival time continued to change throughout the evening, eventually reaching 21:27. Despite this, the order was ultimately cancelled without any apology, explanation, or acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused.
This is the second time I have experienced such issues with Uber Eats, and it has significantly damaged my trust in the service. I expect better reliability, clearer communication, and a higher standard of customer care. UBER EATS PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE LEVEL TO REACH UK STANDARDS

The worst customer service ever. It sounds like they enjoy seeing you in a helpless situation, and insinuate that you deserve it.

Ordered 4 burger gers from 5 guys, tracking driver stopped for 5 minutes when finally delivered, food felt cold in bag, opened bag and seal was already broken and one of the burgers were missing, I can only assume with the seal already broken that the driver has eaten the burger while his car was stood for 5 minutes

The order placed by Uber eats was delayed by 1 hour and after 30 mins chasing and discussion they were ok to refund 14 pounds out of 50 payed. I am not sure on calculation made
I placed order around 1 PM and It showing 1:45 to 2:20 pm for delivery. Then it got changed to 2:45 where I contacted chat supported and agents said to wait till 3 pm and contact if it didn't come til 3. I honestly don't know that logic,yes it was unexpected scenario and order got delayed. Now if I cancel the order I pay 40 pounds to cover restaurants effort or I wait .

1.cancel the order and pay 40£
Or 2. Wait and get 14 £ back.

This goes both to Uber eats and the bengal brasserie in belfast. I had made an order through the app, everything went fine, order was accepted, prepared, delivered and eaten. The next morning turns out they tried to charge me twice (and eventually successfully did so) because they forgot to adjust prices and take delivery. I love how I can get charged extra money on calculations that were made prior to making an order and it getting accepted. Also the customer service is utterly useless. I get charged extra a day after a full purchase was made, accepted and delivered and they are like "yeah you had insufficient funds" then how did the PAYMENT GO THROUGH if i didnt have enough money in my account, since when is uber a buy now pay later.

Was baby sitting our best friends children because they wanted to go out as a couple and have no kids for the day. So me and my partner agreed to watch the kids (6 in total includes her two) had a lovly day with the kids was all good, the misses and kids wanted MAC Donalds In Harwich, Essex, so we ordered on the uber app for Local delivery (not far at all) the bill come to nearly £60 pounds for 6 kids and 2 adults, when we got the food it was stone COLD everything was cold, like it has been sitting there for ages, the kids was not happy i wasnt happy at all. I even put the food in the microwave and still taste Horrible, not impressed at all, i went down to Macdonalds and spoke to the manager ( Andy) No help what so ever very rude if honest, he did give me a direct number for Uber eats, which wasnt, did call but of course its a robot. I will NEVER use UBER eat app ever again, If you want COLD food then go ahead enjoy your cold burgers and chips, and wraps, Delivery Driver BOLAJI UBER EAT

I ordered something to eat,and I had a call from central Uber robot,that the delivery Man kan not found me, I get I picture from another place totally different from my house...my delivery was 26 something EUR and they will offer me 19 EUR back for the mistake. So I feed someone else I stay hungry and I have 7 EUR les because of someone who didn't not called me, to ask where exactly can find me and left I picture back who only he knows where it is. UberEats are fraudsters - never had a account with them but they took 3 transactions this week from my bank ! Bank says contact the firm but that means making a account with ubereats 🤪 there is no contact number or live help to contact ubereats. Last transaction was a poxy £1 😂 today bank says it is Uber east I need to contact as there looks like no fraud it's a legit company that's taken transaction but how did they get my details in the first place ? No one has access to my card ❌ my details are NOT online ❌ and like I say I have NEVER been with ubereats ❌ trading standards need to take a good look at the company !

When initially ordering my food, I was informed it would be a relatively short wait.
5 minutes after ordering, the time doubled.
Then after that amount of time surpassed, I had to wait a further 5 minutes, total delivery wait time ended up being nearly 50 minutes!
Needless to say the food was cold and disgusting.
When I raised this complaint, I was refunded less then £7 for a £35 order. Since then have ignored all correspondence from me.
Really is a dreadful service. Avoid using at all costs.

Ordered 2 mixed doner wraps from one of their restaurants. Received one diner burger and one diner in pitta bread. Completely wrong order. Sent a message notifying Uber Eats that the order was incorrect, along with a copy of the receipt and a photo of the order. Receiveda standard message that the order was correct and they cannot refund
Asked how they think that a burger and a pitta bread are considered wraps and an explanation how they come to that conclusion.
Received another message, stating the same response, that the order is correct. Cannot issue a refund.
Have now done a card chargeback. Will not be using Uber Eats again.
Shocking service. Anyone who has not genuinely received a refund, you are entitled to contact the card company and request a chargeback if your order is incorrect.

Sent ne a notification to my phone to sign up for uber one and receive a year of disney + for free. I signed up, the disney offer didn't work, so ive asked 5 times now to cancel immediately and receive a free refund. Each time their agent claims the offer wasnt sent to me and immediately closes the chat, i have a screenshot of the offer showing on my account. There's no options on their page to take the complaint further. They've scammed me and won't refund.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Uber Eats. I paid for my order like any customer would, only to wait hours while the delivery time kept changing again and again. In the end, the food arrived completely cold and inedible.
This is not just poor service—it’s a total lack of respect for customers. My kids were left hungry after waiting all that time, which is beyond frustrating. When people pay for food, they expect it to arrive on time and at least warm, not after 6 hours in this condition.
This needs to be taken seriously. Customers deserve better than this. Very disappointed, and I will not be using this service again unless this is properly addressed.
