I used uber today to get the same journey that i get a few times a month cost me almost £10 more because "we are short of drivers". Charging the customer for their lack of supply, how unprofessional!!!
Had i had a choice i wouldn't have gotten it but i didn't have that choice so i am now an additional £10 out of pocket because of their lack of staff.
Wont pick up unless higher fare
I had a doctors appointment i needed to get too so i called an uber and the app said 15 min wait ,no driver would pick up because the fare was £5 so it said no one available, then i tryed to rebook and it came up £10 high demand , they wont take a fare if its £5 or less for example my supermarket is a 3 minute drive away but i cant carry heavy shopping they wont pick up for less than £10 , so i walked to my doctors appointment with a bad back and late awful service.

My son got an Uber home in December 2023 he realised he didn’t have his phone so I tracked it to just down the road when last attached to WiFi … we called Uber who eventually got hold of the driver after a week and he said he didn’t have it but surprise surprise it eventually turned up in India 4 months later!!! … do not trust Uber they are thieving liars that work for them

Had no issues with this service until last Friday when my driver had YouTube on the dashboard, watching music videos while he was driving. I put the claim in as soon as my ride was over however Uber are refusing to refund me despite me submitting video evidence of the driver. They just copy and paste the same "We are unable to discuss our internal policies. Thank you for understanding."
I don't understand however. I paid Uber to provide a service and when I submit video evidence of the driver of that service literally breaking the law and putting me at risk, I can't get my money back. Never using again.

However, since I had moved to a new house, I had to update my document. They then told me that it wasn't me and that they would permanently block my account. I created another account with the new document to see if it would work, but it was blocked again, claiming that I had a duplicate account, even though they had already blocked the first account due to their own mistake of uber

Uber is so unprofessional I reserved a cab for 5:20 Sunday Morning the cab turned up 5:12 and at 5:30 the driver cancelled. I was standing up outside at 5:20 the driver was no where to be seen I had to walk and look for the driver I didn’t mange to find him until after the cancellation. When speaking to the driver he lied and said he was in the middle of my road at 5:20 which don’t make sense because I would of saw him if that was the cause he was parked on a completely different road when I found him. Uber then taken all the money and had the cheek to refund me £0.14 from a trip that cost nearly £30 I had to also order a different cab from somewhere else. When speaking to Uber they stated at first that there is nothing they can do because when they do their research the driver was there and was waiting for me, even after I explained the driver was not at the correct place waiting and they cost me extra money cause I had to order another one I then told them I’m no longer using Uber and they talked about as a good gesture they will credit the fare cost to my account which I asked why am I not able to be refunded and the customer service agent stated that’s all they can do. Uber is such a rip off company and have some very lie and unprofessional driver. Would recommend them or use them again one the credited refund is spent on my account. In this living crisis I don’t know how they feel ok with stealing from their customers.
Worst experience ever
I ordered macdonalds through the app. 50min later it arrived stone cold the cheese on burgers was solid. When trying to call uber i was told it was delivered with in an acceptable time. The delivery clearly wasn't picked up till much later and i also had a message saying order delayed so like I say my food and the kids food all came cold couldn't eat it. Had to make them something myself. It was ment to be a treat so they were rather upset. I'm so angry at the response I got from uber customer support I don't believe its acceptable to take nearly an hour to collect and deliver and the food be ineadable... will never order through uber again.

I was scammed!!!! A driver in Canada was ordered at least 7 times in 3 minutes and my Paypal account was charged each time 25$, and I live in France. This was at 5 am and it was a miracle that I woke up. 5 minutes later, i was charged 195$ for a food order on Uber Eats in Canada as well!!!! I panicked and tried to delete my Paypal from the app but I couldn’t access my account anymore. All I could do is cancel automatic payments on PayPal and file a dispute. I contacted Uber but I really don’t know what to do! It was so difficult to even find a place to talk to them especially that I don’t have access to my account!! NOT SAFE NOT SAFE BE CAREFUL PEOPLE!! and I am actually a student and 400$ is a month’s rent for me…… I hope this gets resolved.

Called an Uber for my husband yesterday to go to my parents house as dad had an accident. My husband said taxi arrived in 5 minutes and driver was lovely and chatty. But he specifically asked the driver to wait as my dad may need to go to the hospital. He agreed, hubby went in and could see that was the case so went straight back to tell the driver but he had already left! Leaving him to call another taxi to the hospital (different firm obviously).

I was charged a different fare to what I was shown when booking Uber. When trying to get help there’s no option that indicates the price shown was different. The options to choose from indicate there was an issue with the ride or the driver, not an issue with the app itself. No option to contact or speak with anyone! Such a bad user experience I’m deleting this app.
