Terrible after sales service.

I purchased a navy pashmina on 16 June 2026 from Buddhastones UK.

When it arrived it turned out to be royal blue. I thought mabybe the colours had come up light. I needed it to go with a navy dress for a wedding so ordered the midnight blue version on 22 June. When this arrived it turned out to be black.

The company did not respond to any of my concerns until I threatened to raise it as a dispute with my credit card company. Buddha Stones then offered me a 5% discount ..... on two products I do not want to keep because they are not as described and not fit for purpose????

When I replied to this effect they offered what they described as "the biggest 10% discount for the items if you would like to keep them". However, if I did not want to keep them there is a convoluted returns procedure to China at my own expense, with the warning that if the return is not received there will be no refund, with information about customs duty and advice to lie to evade this..... What could possibly go wrong?

I an raising thgis as a dispute with my credit card company and will be contacting UK financial journalists to raise awareness of this companies shoddy practices.

I want to warn others about my experience with Buddha stone company. I ordered three pairs of pants but only received two. The pants I got were of very poor quality fabric, stitching, and fullness all differed significantly from what the website advertised. After contacting them, they offered a 5% discount, which I refused. Then, they agreed to a full refund, but the return address was in China, with a shipping cost of over $300. I never received the third pair, and the company has been extremely difficult to dispute with. They appear to have elaborate methods to avoid liability. Please be cautious if you are considering shopping with them this was a very frustrating experience, and I would not recommend it.

I ordered a pair of yoga leggings from ukbuddhastone. I was mislead by the title for a start. They come from China and took a long time to arrive. The quality of the fabric was poor, with visible faults in it. I requested a refund and a returns label. They wanted me to accept a 5% discount. I declined. IThey offered me 10% which I very reluctantly accepted as I realised returning them to China would be difficult with no guarantee of a full refund. Let's hope this was a 1 off experience but I doubt it as they said it is normal to see faded lines in the fabric on stretching. Mmmm, I never experienced that in other leggings.

Customer Services has been great. I needed to replace items as I had ordered the wrong size and Tashi has been extremely helpful and professional. I love the clothing, the ethos and the ethics around Buddha Stones. Thank you.

Reviews looked favourable although all said long delivery time. Clothes looked fabulous and of good quality. Did arrive after 2 1/2 weeks..all good-sizes are on big size. Love the items, will see if any offers but like tops-need to have them shortened for me so thats an added expense

Dress fabric wasn't as nice as the photo; very thin and the dress didn't fit at the bodice. The bracelet was heavy and clunky and also didn't fit, although I measured my handaccording to the store directions. Turns out that the return policy on the website isn't actually true (it says £5.98). The emails I got from Tasha at Buddhastones offered me a series of discounts, and indicated that returning the items *to China--I'd thought they were UK based when I ordered* would also involve insuring them, paying customs and duties and being charged additionally by their weight and the type of shipping service I used. We went back and forth for weeks: they've got my money and I've got rubbish. Witha decent system for returns or refunds, this would have been resolved, but this company apparently would rather have the dosh.
After weeks of arguing, I gave up.
I've contacted my bank--I think this company is running a fraudulent business practice--and the bank is opening a claim.

When I wanted to return a garment, which didn't fit, I was supposed to return it to China at my own expense. A 10% refund was offered, which I, rather grudgingly, accepted. I will not order again

I had an issue with the items I had ordered but this was resolved very quickly and without any fuss. Excellent customer service.

It's scam: don't fall for it.

This company promises natural materials, but ships polyester.

It charges for quality but delivers shoddy products.

And it makes returns extremely difficult, so you're stuck with the poor product once it arrives (or you can pay through the nose to ship it back to China)

Avoid.

I ordered mala. I supppsed it should be stones. But it was not.

Unfortunately, the product I received was not exactly what I expected. However, the company contacted me, discussed the issue, and clearly arranged a refund process.

I appreciate their communication and willingness to resolve the problem.

My purchase was excellent, and the fitting was perfectly ok. I shall recommend the company to anyone who would love to purchase from them.

Please be aware that the seller is from China.

Hassle-free returns are a misleading statement.

You have to pay for international returns yourself and customs clearance.

FRAUD! It doesn't say anywhere on the website that returns have to be done to China.

Please don't buy as return is impossible.
They will almost force you to keep saying will give you a discount.
After 6 emails they said you can return at your own cost.
Do NOT BUY.

I have been trying to get information on how to do a return as no instructions or address are provided. After offering to choose a replacement from their site for the same cost, they have stopped responding to emails. Ironically I have received 2 emails requesting feedback from the items received... So far it feels like a fake company with misleading 30-day full return policy and non-existent customer service.

Update: after this review, I got contacted and offered an exchange. I requested a refund and this has been granted with no return of goods needed. Still will not recommend this shop. But have raised the review to 2* as we reached a resolution at the end

Amazing customer service and products

1 day after my 1 star review, I got an update to say that my goods (ordered on 15th May), were in transit, and they did eventually arrive on 1st July (1 week later). So I've upgraded my review (from 1 star to 3) based on what happened since, and given a full and honest account of what happened following it.

I ordered 3 x pairs of trousers:

PRO's:
- All well made and exactly as pictured. They actually look great.
- After my review, the company did reach out to me to apologise and to offer me a discount (and to ask me to reconsider my review : )
-Length was really good. I'm 5ft 2 and lots of people have commented that they are really long but for me they were a great length

- CONS:

- 1 x pair of trousers where the label says its cotton - its incredibly scratchy. I'm hoping they will be wearable with loads and loads of fabric softener, but unless that improves in the wash, I don't think I'll be able to bear that feeling on my skin.
- The fact that they are advertising and communicating as *UK*buddastoneshop is clearly misleading. The name implies they are in the UK, when, having to wait 6/7 weeks for items to arrive, they are not in the UK, and this might make a difference to people. In my case, for example, they arrived several weeks after the event I ordered them for.
-I had to email several times to get a reply.
-Sizes do run slightly small. I hedged my bets and ordered 2 x different sizes.
- **This may be my mistake / or the website may have changed, can't be sure** on 2 x pairs of trousers, the advert says they are linen (or so I thought). What has arrived is 100% Polyester which feels a bit scratchy and not what was advertised. Linen is breathable, Polyester is not, and the feel is completely different. Looking at the website now its does say Polyester so its possible this was my mistake / or also possible this may have changed, either way, the actual fabric is still a bit irritating to the skin.

Would I do this all again, knowing what I know now? That I'd get 3 x beautiful pairs of trousers, all of which feel a bit or a lot scratchy, that I'd have to wait 7 weeks for but would then be heavily discounted, and no real way of returning anything that doesn't fit? Not sure I would. I'm pleased that they honored their discount / refund, and waited for that until rewriting my review, but I'd have been happy to pay the original price if I got the items in the materials advertised, and in a timely fashion. I think all consumers want honesty and transparency, and that's what gets repeat business.

Real shame as I love the style there are other items I'd really like to buy but if this is the service, and reading that its difficult to return anything, I'm not sure its worth it.

TITLE WAS: Suspected Scam / 6 weeks later still no items.

Order placed 15th May / As of 23rd June it still says preparing order for shipping. No proactive communication at all. When I followed up, no delivery date offered just a discount - still order status hasn't changed.

My product wasn't the right size but the Buddhastones team was helpful in organising an exchange for a more suitable product.

Customer services easy to contact.
Prompt replies to email queries.
Take action quickly.

Bought 3 tops from Buddhastone. They took their time getting there but all 3 were great - lovely fabrics and details. One fit perfectly, the other 2 fit but I thought they'd be a bit more loose around the body so we're just thinking of the easiest way to replace them. Super friendly customer service and quick to reply. Would definitely buy from them again and recommend to friends.
