WORST PHONE COMPANY IN EXISTENCE

I bought a phone from Umidigi in July and they had no issue taking my money. The problem is that they never sent me a phone and refuse to answer my inquiries. DO NOT BUY FROM UMIDIGI OR ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE SCAM COMPANY

This company is a CHINESE SCAM!!!

I bought a Umidigi a13 pro max in February of this year. In may, the charging port began not charging. I have made multiple attempts to make a claim on the 12 month warranty to no avail. I am getting no response from any of the emails or Whatsapp phone numbers. All I wanted was a replacement for a device that's still in warranty and they as a company with the policy of a 12 month warranty won't even honor it. If I could give no stars I would. DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY. I REPEAT DO NO SHOP WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!

I like this rather small but neat company

I am a fan of this rather small but good manufacturer of high-quality and inexpensive modern smartphones, smartwatches, and other digital goods. I definitely always recommend the smartphones of this company to my friends when they want to buy reliable and inexpensive devices. I have UMIDIGI Urun smartwatch find it works well for more than one year for now. It has all the main features that entry-level smartwatches should have. I am quite familiar now with this brand and appreciate their products.

I have the a11 tab via Lazada Umidigi…

I have the a11 tab via Lazada Umidigi Official store and suddenly stop working (won't power on nor charge) less than a year and still under 12 month warranty but their customer service is very unhelpful. Umidigi customer service told me that only the shop where I bought can assist regarding repair/warranty. Yet Lazada Umidigi Official store gave me useless instructions and made me sent a video showing the tab problem and just eventually told me to bring it to local shop instead (not authorized umidigi service center) for a check up. I insist on using the warranty, they responded like it is not easy since their manufacturing shop is in China like making me feel if I wanna go thru such hassle. So what is the use of 12 month warranty?? Latest respond of Lazada Umidigi store is their address (china) and instruct to send it back there and no other details like what will happen when they received it? Or how to get update about it. Therefore even though it is under warranty I will have to pay for shipping fee. Then few days later I received a message from then again that If incase I decided to ship it back to china theu won't be able to return it back to me due some changes of agreement in Lazada courier. And if you decide to get it repair locally no assurance due to parts availability. A waste of money and warranty is a scam. If you value your money, time and effort think 100 times before you even buy Umidigi.

not existed customer service. the company sucks (the phones are ok)

The phones are great while they work.

The one star i rated is exclusively for the company. The company is simply terrible

The one year warranty is a lie and they will not do anything to fulfil it.
.
Love the phones, hate the company lack of effort.

If your phone develops a hardware fault, they pass the bucket to the shops (generally an official store in aliexpress where you more than likely got the phone from) .

Aliexpress and the store won't do anything (they actually wanted me to tamper with the phone and void the warranty)

So if you are buying a phone from them, don't expect anything apart from the handset.

Their official shops are ghosts or will simply disregard your rights/ your emails, regardless of their legal obligations in the country you bought the phone in.

So buy from them at your own risk

NO problems after years of use.

I have owned a Bison GT for 2 years...NO problems with my unlocked phone on mint mobile, straight talk, ATT or T-Mobile. I drop it and then use it for phots and talking. I agree there are no updates to the latest android version. I go to You-Tube for work arounds where needed. As critical as i want to be, this is a EXCELLENT phone. I have owned big brand names.SO, i am buying the latest UMIDIGI for a granddaughter in college.

I bought a Umidigi Pro Max 7 and was…

I bought a Umidigi Pro Max 7 and was horrified after a little over a month find out that this phone uses a frequency that is not recognized in Canada as it uses an asian frequency. I run a home based business and have many of my clients state they thought I was out of business and were worried about their goods. My cellphone provider stated there are security issues and frequency concerns with the Umidigi brand. Sent phone back for a full refund and bought a Samsung. This Umidigi product is not recommended.

Only buy if you expect no customer…

Only buy if you expect no customer service at all

So I bought the new A13 Pro Max as they call it. The phone arrives yet after a few days there is an issue with the phone automatically shutting down. I have tried every way possible to contact them, but there seems to be no answer at all. bearing in mind that I had bought the phone from their official website. I am not sure what to do next !

Bye bye umidigi

I have been a big supporter of umidigi since 2011. I have had 11 devices phones, tablets and smart watches shipped over from China to UK with no issues.
I placed order for two new devices c1 & G1 max 2022 editions. World premier
I believe due to over selling they no longer could fulfill these orders.

No communication with umidigi regarding these phones either on website, forum and now company reputation has been damaged in Brazil, Russia, Nigeria and UK.

3 Card Monty Warranty Service. Scammy. Fraudulent.

Umidigi uses a very underhanded and unreliable method for dealing with after-sales support, and effectively offers zero warranty unless the platform you purchase the product on forces their hand.

I am purchased an Umidigi Bison on eBay through their official sales channel "Umidigi-US-Official" as linked to from their website. The phone arrived with a faulty microphone. I set up a return, but the label went to my spam box and by the time I sorted it out, the return period had closed. Making the best of it, I shortly thereafter asked for warranty service. The fault, after all, was documented the day I got it and wasn't resolved by the 3 different solutions Umi proposed in eBay messaging - Factory Reset, Hard Reset, and using SP Flash to reflash the phone's software.

After offering these without success, I pressed them for an RMA or an address to send it for repair or exchange. They ghosted me. They will not respond to any of m 7.meesages I sent over the past 2 months. My warranty is good until July, but I have my doubts they'll ever respond.

Umidigi through their official website continues to insist their resellers are responsible for warranty, even though they ask for all the transaction details on their official website, do not establish the identity of the 3rd party reseller they refer to other than Umidigi, and claim they will step in to handle conflicts between Resellers and end customers (I asked, they refused).
They told me to contact the platform (eBay doesn't do product after-sales and warranty support) the reseller (clearly no help there) and local law enforcement (My local PD has neither plans to travel to or any legal jurisdiction in Shen Zhen, China).
You can also file with the FTC for the sake of being thorough, but none of these will make your $150+ investment any less or a waste and a scam.

Look for their reputation on warranty support on Reddit, Phone forums, and places they don't have any access or control to moderate the reviews. My experience is not unique nor is it even unusual. Their phones have low QA and many folks receive faulty product. If you get a working phone, you may find yourself with a device you like at a bargain price. My F1 and my S3 Pro from Umi were good enough to get me to make a 3rd purchase.
3rd time is a charm though. I prefer not to gamble with my purchases, and I prefer not to be lied to when making them.
Umi has set up this shell game of "who honore the warranty" as a means to shrug off responsibility and it's abundantly clear. Without access to the data from platforms their "resellers" sell on, why would they ask for it?
They just pretend there is some middle-man outside the conlany's control selling the product. There isn't. But iit sure makes it easy to keep you bouncing around searching for whomever will honor a warranty you never received in the first place.
Where do the resellers get the parts or the replacement units? What electronics reseller has all the expertise to repair product?
If your Dell laptop fails, does Target or Walmart have the staff, parts, and knowledge to fix it? If so, how so if Dell is in no way involved? It's ridiculous.

Stay away from this company unless you plan to treat their products like the throw-away electronics they are.

2nd Umidigi in 5 years,

I'm now on my 2nd Umidigi in 5 years and have just upgraded to the Bison GT2 Pro. The spec is amazing for a phone under £300 and I was amazed that my Power 3 was still running like new after almost 5 years of constant use. The only reason I changed was because of a charging issue, this turned out to be a dodgy USB-C lead, but I have given my son my old Power 3 so no worries.
They are superb phones IMO and you can do all the repairs yourself with everything you need on the Umidigi website from charge boards to screens. There is also a big modding scene for Umidigi phones and you can root most models and install a custom OS, this is so unlike the major brands, crApple and $am$ung, where you struggle to do anything.
Umidigi is well deserving of their 5 stars and it makes a change to write a positive review about a company.

Good, nice and cheap phones.

So far I have had two phones of this brand, and all I can say is that they are really good and the best thing is that they are cheap.
I currently have the A13 Pro and I didn't know the processor it uses (UNISOC T610), and I have been pleasantly surprised. It works perfectly for normal tasks, the battery lasts longer than with a Mediatek and it takes good pictures.
I am now waiting for the A13 Pro Max, which looks like it will be a great phone.

This is actually my first time hearing UMIDIGI, I heard this from my friend who uses their phone. I borrowed and check its feature, it passes my standards and I can easily adapt it. I can use it also for my online classes, I badly also need a new phone, AISMART Cellphone is very not cooperative, it ruins my relationship with friends because I can't past projects on time. That's all thank you!
