I have used over four pdf readers/editors over the years, very thoroughly, The original reason I tried out UPDF was because it has a very good economic value, but after having used it for some time, I now think the feature set in UPDF is much better than the others I have used.

I'm still discovering more features every day, and am glad I made the switch, not only because I'm saving much more money, but have the most satisfying experience using it than any of the others.

I looked at a lof of PDF software that stacked up on Mac, and this one for the price seemed like a good deal. Have to say that I bought lifetime and glad I did. Hands down the fastest, most intuitive and useful PDF software I've used. Highly recommend and very glad everyday when I use it.

the pdf editor is super cool. and I paid for the lifetime subscription. but after a week they charged me an anual subscription of something I didn't subscribed and never used!

“I have a paid UPDF license, but the Link Type field is not clickable and only Web Link appears. I’ve reinstalled, logged out/in, and used the official installer. Please refresh my license activation on your server.”

They know this issue — they’ve fixed it for other users.

UPDF is a well-designed and user-friendly PDF application that covers most everyday PDF needs. The software is fast, stable, and easy to work with, and it offers a clean interface for editing, annotating, and basic signing of documents.

For personal use and many professional tasks, UPDF is a solid and cost-effective alternative to more established PDF solutions.

My main area for improvement is that UPDF currently does not support cryptographic digital signatures (certificate-based / PKI). For users who rely on certificate-based signing workflows, this would be a valuable feature to have in the future.

Adding PKI-based digital signature support would further strengthen UPDF and make it even more versatile for advanced use cases.

Update - been using the program more. Still love it, and now my business buddy has bought it as well. Still would like the digital signature as a stamp on documents

I have almost completely transitioned from Adobe PDF to UPDF on most of my devices! It has saved me hundreds of dollars from my subscription to Adobe Pro and still allows me almost all the same features as Adobe Pro. The lifetime license is a godsend, and if you just need to edit PDF's, sign them, or even create them, it has been a great product! I only took one star away for some issues I had with inputs, and the interface not being as intuitive as I am used to, but overcoming those hurdles makes this a fantastic replacement!

After Searching a long time for a good pdf editor i found UPDF, it's really good and the UI is really mesmerizing.

Program doesn't work. Support is said to be within 24 hours by email. So far not true. Requested a refund, so far ignored.

I have been using UPDF Pro Perpetual since version 1.8, and now with version 2.0.9 I’ve seen significant improvements across the board. Back in the 1.x versions, the main issue I encountered was slow font loading and inconsistent font changes when editing text. These problems have been resolved in the current version, which makes the editing experience much smoother.

The main reasons I decided to stick with this software are:

* **Lightweight and fast**: UPDF launches quickly and feels lighter than many competing PDF editors.
* **Outstanding OCR performance**: Its Thai OCR is noticeably better than what I’ve experienced with A***e. It might be because the software is developed in Asia, giving it a better understanding of the language. This was a major deciding factor for me, and it continues to be the feature I appreciate the most.

There were some issues in earlier versions (1.8x), particularly with PDF layers. Edited text would be placed on the lowest layer, causing it to disappear after saving. However, this seems to have been fixed in the latest updates.

After purchasing, I also encountered problems with Thai vowel rendering. I reported the issue to the developers, and they acknowledged it and delivered a fix in a short time. This responsiveness left a very positive impression on me and increased my confidence in both the product and the development team.

Overall, UPDF has grown into a reliable and well-maintained PDF editor, especially strong for Thai users. I’m happy with the progress they’ve made and look forward to seeing how it continues to improve.~~~

Very useful and price is affordable Luxury

Purchased a lifetime license for only about $30 several years ago and have not regretted it. It is lightweight and fast. Not super user-friendly, but can do many tasks. Customer support is great. Updates are free and make it easier to handle PDF and JPG files which I use often. Editing is convenient for editing PDF files. Rearranging and inserting/deleting pages is easy. Files can be reduced based on your file size preference.

It doens't do what it promise.
I want to order different pdf's and combine them. I have that done in the program. But than you save them an than they are in a different order again.
