Ridiculous customer service
So last week I decided to start planning a vacation. My kids love Universal , so I was checking on some dates and hotels, and comparing prices when I noticed I could apply to make payments on the trip. I have done that before with Affirm (whom I love by the way) so I thought why not and was approved ; I wasn’t ready to commit to that particular time and was still seeing if other dates may be cheaper - today I made a decision on when to go and applied and it denied me ? So I emailed them bc it said it couldn’t “verify my information “ I explained that I had checked to see if I was approved and what the rate was , but I didn’t commit yet bc I was still deciding.
I got an email back stating they have decided to “terminate my ability to make loan request” and as outlined in their terms of service they can do that at any time .
Do what ?! But like WHY?!
No explanation , no I’m sorry just a snotty attitude from a serious inquiry
I guess I’ll go back to old faithful Affirm if I decide to finance my trip
Uplift is fine and good service at least in Canada
I’m not sure if these previous bad reviews are from USA or Canada. I’m in Canada and my experience with uplift has been great. I traveled to two countries in Africa and got my tickets through them and it’s been great. I had no issues with the booking or the rate. I Pay every month and on occasion if I can’t make the payment they allow me to reschedule it. I’m not sure where the bad part comes from but I’ve loved it so far. I called once or twice and the person was fine and helpful. They text me reminders a few days before my payment and once the payment goes through. They allow me to make payments early with no penalty. I’d definitely recommend and use again in the future.

Because of COVID I had to Cancel a flight. Cost of United Round Trip cost over $800. My Refund was $187. DO NOT CANCEL YOU LOAN . It is a MISTAKE TO CANCEL. Total loss of cash. $600 MISTAKE I MADE.Don’t be a FOOL LIKE ME.

MISLEADING Offers: Recently I tried to book a June 2021 vacation with Uplift Financial soliciting 18% rate for 12-18mos. However, after pre-Approval, Uplift did a flip-flop offering a 36% financing rate for 6-12 months. Adding insult to injury, the LasVegas reps were very reluctant to cancel the "unfinished" application. I sent five Emails requesting cancellation.
My total Debt is 43%....what a MESSY organization.

Finance charges are awfully high 15% and I have a 750 credit score. They started collecting $40.00 on finance charges a month before my trip. I did not ask them to pay in full since my trip details were not completed. They nicely offer 24 months to pay of course which means 600 in finance charges! awful company to deal in this economy. Cancel cruise Carnival over 285 before I was to go. Carnival gave me back everything except $100 deposit said I can use it with 24 months so I was to get back $1,376.09 emailed uplift sent my confirmation letter. 7 days later I get a email from uplift telling me they are refund of $388 with in 30 days. Sent them a letter back asking where is the rest of the money and they said over 70% what a scam

If I knew this was going to happen, I would have never booked a spent my hard earned money paying Uplift payments. You are better off just paying a little toward the cruise line every month. And after COVID, I’d never book another cruise again.

Beware of UPLIFT and CARNIVAL
My Carnival cruise was cancelled recently. The cruise line refunded my money to Uplift. Uplift kept $204 of my $594 paid for three months. I never cruised and not my fault this was cancelled and charged $204 for absolutely nothing. Do not use this company they are a rip off! They told me they have to stay in business. I understand but for three payments to keep $204 is just plain GREEDY!!! Update** I emailed Carnival and their response was there is nothing they can do regarding the interest. I decided I will never cruise with Carnival and I will never use Uplift to finance anything! Also, if you get a cruise the last payment is not due until a few months before your cruise so financing and paying in full is a waste of interest when the last payment is not due for a few months prior to cruise. Don’t waste your money financing the whole cruise upfront. You have time to pay until cruise. Carnival kept my money for three months and I paid interest for absolutely nothing. Big companies that hurt people. Extremely disappointing with this whole situation.
Sad day Uplift screwed another
Sad. I used Uplift for a carnival cruise. The cruise was cancelled due to Covid-19.. So I called uplift and carnival to get my money back. Carnival gave 100% back to Uplift and Uplift returned my payments of only 60% kept 40% of my money said for interest... Wow what a rip off. Paid for a vacation and never got one and lost half of our money. Thanks

I had a trip planned and was paying on it before
COVID 19 hit in March. Obviously nobody was traveling in May due to no travel restrictions by our government so our 25th wedding anniversary trip scheduled for May was canceled. The American airline tickets were canceled as well as the Atlantis resort reservations were canceled in the Bahamas.
We have emails to prove that everything was canceled and money was refunded back to uplift.
After I made contact with Amy because I wasn’t getting anywhere with the normal channels she advised me that she would keep on top of it and keep me updated on the account with uplift. Once they received their refund which would take up to 30 days.
This was back in May and June 2020.
I never heard back from Amy so I disputed the charges with my bank Chase and the money was put back in my account after a claim was filed and they determined uplift was in the wrong and that money was put in the back of my account in early June.
no phone calls or return emails from Amy at all.
It is now October 11 of 2020 and my credit card was charged again last night.
For a lesser amount than what my payments were when my trip was planned before it was canceled.
Here’s the funny part I called into uplift today October 11 and was told by Caleb from Uplift that I could not talk to me until they spoke with their fraud department and I would have to call back in to get some answers at a later date.I will again dispute the charges with my bank. What a waste of time and effort during a pandemic for a greedy company who charges unauthorized credit cards.
What kind of scam company is uplift running here?
Up with had no permission to charge my credit card today and they know darn well that the reservations were canceled because I have emails stating so and so do they that I have forward to them.

Took out our loan prior to Covid...world wide Pandemic hits (we are restaurant owners) : called and emailed Uplift support to ask for assistance in delaying "one" month of my payment, NO consideration or forbearance was granted ...none zip zero; pandemic, US economic crisis, job loss meant nothing- worst part is, this company is accustomed to constant harassment and threats during the entire time (and still to this day even though I blocked all texts and emails from them, even though I am paying the debt, they are forwarding threats). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- credit cards are a better option, at least they work with you during financial hardship as a world wide crisis hits

Uplift is lying under peoples reviews saying that they think they're mistaken them for another company. Lie!! Uplift works directly with carnival for financing the trip like I tried to. And like other reviews have said my trip was cancelled months before being able to take due to COVID and yet 3 months after the cancelled trip they're harassing me about a payment for a trip I haven't taken. Steven was steadily throwing numbers and dollar amounts at me that made no sense. Saying I needed to call carnival and have them call them to tell them why carnival hasn't refunded the whole amount. 1 I don't work for carnival you do and 2 your methods are bizarre! Luckily I got a new card before they started trying to collect money again.
Do NOT use Uplift
I purchased a ticket using Uplift as United Airlines made it sound like such a good idea. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! The ticket I purchased was 1st class and fully refundable. I purchase the ticked and within an hour found that I could not book a hotel for the trip. I called United and cancelled my flight. I was assured of a full refund because it was within 24 hours AND it was a 1st class ticket. Now 6 months later Uplift is using the MOST aggressive collection methods imaginable. I called them and told them the flight was cancelled. I provided the email from United stating that my refund was processed. That refund went directly to Uplift and I lost both my down payment and the last payment as well. Even the way Uplift explained that was insane! They charged my credit card for what would have been two monthly payments, then hastened to say the 2nd month would be refunded right away. I still don't understand that mind set at all. But I didn't receive a dime back from them. Now a full six months later they have begun aggressive collection efforts. I am COVID positive and 66 years old. I can't think straight and they simply won't listen to me. Every single day they text and email saying if I don't pay within X amount of days they will report my non existent account to all 3 credit bureaus. I finally hung up on their rude and nasty agent because I was having severe chest pains. However before I did so the Uplift agent had United on the phone and the agent for United confirmed that the refund was made back in March to Uplift. The Uplift agent then began arguing with United saying that the credit card the refund was credited to wasn't an Uplift card. Unbelievable! So as it stands now they are saying if I don't make a payment they will report the account as delinquent and continue to do so even though I don't owe them anything. DO NOT USE UPLIFT! The interest rates are extortionary and the customer service is inept, hateful, and ill informed. I don't owe them anything yet they continue to text me several times a day and email me every day as well. They have caused me untold distress even as I am quarantined with COVID and sicker than I have ever been in my life.

Do not use this company. Quinn is rude, obnoxious and has no patience. He made me feel like a child the way he treated me. Never have I had worse service in my life.

Company states that do soft credit…
Company states they do soft credit checks and they actually do a HARD inquiry on your credit. THEN, when you lay off the short term loan they mark it as CLOSED and not PAID OFF! They directed me to the Credit Bureau. Do not use them if you care about your credit. You have to call Equifax to have the remark changed. Too I have not worth the trouble.

Never use uplift.com nor United Airlines, both are a rip off. I did a early cancellation and uplift charged me 206 dollars as well as United charging me 500. Do not use either
