I so far have been without internet,TV and landline since Monday(almost 2 days) and still have not had an estimate as to when service will be resumed.
I do have the option of speaking to an operative, which I am told will cost me.
It seems to me that either little has been invested in diagnostics, or that their engineers are not up to the task!
I find this totally unacceptable and will be switching to another supplier as soon as I can.

Avoid

Watch out when taking a contract with Vodafone, devious practices mean had I known, I would have likely chosen a different provider.

If you exceed the contract data limit, they continue to provide data but at a cost of €3 per 200mb which with modern 4/5G connections means that a very large bill can quickly be incurred. Furthermore, there is no way to prevent this, as with other carriers, by for example capping the data or significantly reducing the speed.

Vodafone Portugal is the worst…

Vodafone Portugal is the worst service I have ever come across and they steal money from you too by double charging you and never returning it to you hoping you will forget about your money. I have never dealt with worse service than they give or rather in this case don't give. I will take my money somewhere else next time, somewhere I will get what I pay for and don't get robbed on top of that. Never will recommend them to anyone

I would give no star if I could

I would give no star if I could. I won't go into the litany of errors, the incompetence or disinterest of the customer care staff. After a month of fighting to get the service I was due, they finally got their act together...and I wasn't even sent an apology. I moved to Vodafone after 12 years with MEO. Meo was never as bad as Vodafone. I'll be going back to MEO after my 24 months

Vodafraud

I have lived in Portugal for almost 5 year's...Vodafone has been my go to for mobile service...My first home service was with NOS, and should really be changed to I, the company...2 year contract and crap service...Then I went all the way...Best Fiber Service Vodafone has...One thing is very clear, you don't get what you pay for in terms of Internet Speed and Customer Service...Tech Service Is Outsourced and there is not a sense of urgency or respect to the customer who is paying a lot for substandard service...It's not hard to tell in this ever increasing fickle world we live in, that Companies do not care about quality, they care about profits at the expense of there Employees and Customers...But Hey what do you expect for a €143 Euro's a month...

I have Vodafone Portugal for my H#home and company

I have Vodafone Portugal for my residential services. They lied on calls, mis sold the service, took about 3 months to get the issue fixed and refunded. This only happened when i sent a GDPR complaint about Vodafone reps lying about a service for us to buy it.

Separately , 1 week ago i ordered commercial services for my company, for over 5 days they have been sending the contract to the wrong email address with all my companies details and personal information! it took 30 calls to get them to check and finally notice, then they sent the contract still with the wrong details to the right address.. !!!

We was told we would have the internet and the tv all completed this Friday th. 18 of June. We have the workers from Vodafone out, and because of bad weather they suddenly decided not to do their job, and told us they would do it next Wednesday. Then we was promised to get a internet box at the Vodafone store in Porto, so we could get internet for the weekend. We arrived at the store, and now they don’t have it for us. Costumer service is suddenly not a part of this company. Not be working because of a little rain?? Come on.

Unusable in rural areas

We live in Central Portugal, where Vodafone used to have the best 4G data signal of all networks. However, since the start of the pandemic, the signal has been degraded so badly that it is as good as unusable, with download speeds often below 1Mbps! Complaints to customer services are mostly ignored or meet with promises of the type "we always try to provide the best possible service", but no improvement. I am still tied in to a year's contract of what is an expensive service not fit for purpose.

Nothing works! Terrible service, thieves! Where is my PIN number!??

Absolutely terrible service, product, terrible support website vodafone.pt, terrible people that work there! I bought the SIM card and was blocked, then on support after a week I was told to scratch the SIM paper that comes with the SIM card, but there was nothing to scratch to get the PIN number! Frustrated! I waste my money on this SIM card! Thieves!

Support answer after a week with the dumbest answers, I want my PIN number only that!!! What's the problem!? Why you block the PIN and don't let the buyer know?! How dumb is that!?!?

Their pay as you go tariffs are a…

Their pay as you go tariffs are a masterpiece in extraction. It started with 8.50 for 3GB a month.

Then I discovered that this was just for two weeks and now I'm stuck on an 8.50 per two weeks plan.

Then I discovered that data usage gets reset on the 1st of every month NOT when you activate the plan/top up so I managed to blow through an allowance I didn't realize I had.

Then I got "upgraded" to 20 euros every two weeks plan - the only way I could get my data back.

Then in my last two weeks in portugal I tried to top up online. They only let you top up 15 euros or 25 euros. Again, only way I could get data back.

They have absolutely the worst pay as you go plan I have ever used in any country.

Promoted Speeds Are No Where Actual Speeds

The promoted speeds of sim cards seem to be illustrious assumptions made with no real world testing. Having bought a mobile sim card router it was advertised it could get 150mps, I have never seen the Wifi speed exceed 15mps (which is the highest I've seen) and Sim card in the router struggles to provide a stable connection when in online meetings. I do not expect 150mps but speeds averaging >10mps are miles of what is advertised. I am the only user of my mobile wifi and dont live far of a vodafone cell tower and am therefore irritated by such low speeds.

Vodafone Portugal - No customer service

I moved to Portugal in August last year I spoke to a Vodafone representative which informed me that if by chance I moved address I could easily move the contract to the new address. In the event that Vodafone does not service that area or if I legitimately need to relocate abroad they will cancel the contract as they cannot transfer or service out of Portugal.

I then signed up with Vodafone even though they were more expensive.

In Jan/Feb 2021, my wife got a job offer in the UK, which required us to relocate. We informed Vodafone in time, paid our account up to date and provided the documentation and had the agents confirm over the phone they could not relocate or continue with our services. I was asked to send email confirmation and proof which I did and received two corresponding emails from Vodafone. Since then they ignore my emails and to date have not confirmed or cancelled my contract. We no longer reside in Portugal and even though I want to get this matter closed, they refuse or plainly decide to ignore it with the account active and incurring charges. Vodafone's customer service is completely different from when you looking to join to the service you receive on cancellation or when you have an issue. Dissapointing!!

Worst company EVER

Dear consumer, run away from this company ! I have lived in many countries, and believe me.. this company is the worst company I have ever seen in my life. They should be ashamed of their fraudulent practise. They are stealers and practise discrimination against foreigners.. and I can imagine with the comments how they treat Portuguese people also. I hope that this company will have to pay one day as much as they are stealing people's money with unjustified penalty based on an unknown scale.

Thank you Cicero Matias & Team. A JOB WELL DONE!

Woke up this morning with no internet. A storm had taken down the Vodafone cable outside. My daughter rang Vodafone service at 11am, they promised to arrive same day between 4-5pm & arrived on-time! Although the weather was awful and "raining cats and dogs" they replaced 150 metres of cable and left with the internet back on. Brilliant Service! Thank you Cicero Matias & Team. A JOB WELL DONE!

Worst experience I've ever had with a…

Worst experience I've ever had with a company.
Vodafone besides having constant internet outages, is a company full of liars and thieves. They claimed my entire building had no internet fiber support even though their website said it did. I had been in contract with them for 10 miserable years and every single time I called about getting fiber they would tell me to call another phone number that had me waiting hours on end and I had to pay for every single minute I waited, what a SCAM. In the end they told me the building didn't have fiber. Eventually I got into contact with another company and asked them if my building supported fiber and they said it did, we finally switched ISP's but unfortunately this wasn't the end of the Vodafone fiasco. They wanted their router back and threatened to make us pay €500, we told them to come and get it and they told us to deliver it to an "official" vodafone store which there aren't any nearby and the ones that were "close" (80KM away) were closed because of COVID-19 or to call their "support line" so they could get our address and send someone to come pick it up. THEY ALREADY HAVE OUR ADDRESS, WE'VE BEEN YOUR CUSTOMER FOR 10 F******* YEARS. We called like they said and once again they made us wait 2 hours on call to which we wasted a lot of money to the point of where I had to go and charge my phone so I could wait another f****** hour. Vodafone is a predatory company that is looking to squeeze as much money as possible from it's customer, DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Paradise lost

I am pleased that Vodafone actually supply the speed intended in their package for the internet, unlike Meo where I only got a third of what they offered but Vodafone fall very short on aftercare.
I have spent the last 29 hours offline due to a problem. Vodafone have offered no reason or apology for the downtime, and have cost me not in terms of money but in time.. a very precious resource at my age.
I rang the help line, and rang and rang... only to find the bot repeating in Portuguese. My fault I know, I should spend more time absorbing the very difficult language.
To cut a story short I never connected with a human, but with a computer that recognized my mobile number messaged me to tell me that a problem had been found in my area, and that is would be sorted in around 9 hours! (so my wife tells me).
After nine hours and shaking due to my addiction to the internet,I rang again to find out what was going on, and minutes later a message .. will be another 45minutes!
Well it was now 23:00 hours and I decided that it may be time to wait until the morrow, so we retired to bed.
Approaching mid day I rang again on my moblie.. well I thought I would as they were charging me for each call..and got a similar message!
So me and the missus decided to go out and enjoy the grim cloudy sky's of Caldas da Rainha, and returned just as the systems burst into life! Wunderbar!!

I suppose the reason for my gripe is that Vodafone has lost the human touch, and have invested their future in robotics, trusting that the programmer can offer acceptable excuses in a few lines of text!
Not so.
I accept that there will some times be problems, and that they will sometimes be serious, but what use is a supplier that keeps it's customers in the dark, and is not ready to tell the truth of a situation like this.
I will switch from Vodafone when the cost of cancellation becomes more acceptable, to a supplier that may not offer the advertised speed, but will at least allow me to connect!
Makes me sad as I know Vodafone well from the UK.
Perhaps the next supplier will connect via satellite, as it seems latency is no longer an issue!!!

3 weeks ago NOS tore my fibre cable out of the bundle that went to the PDO. Vodafone, my provider, has been useless in terms of fixing the problem. They claim they have to get permission from NOS to use the PDO, and NO ONE ever calls back to update me. Currently all I get is vague answers and absolutely no indication of when it might be fixed. They are totally disinterested.
