I , like numerous others , have been duped into buying this voltbox rubbish. I have returned the item weeks ago and it looks like I won't be receiving a refund any time soon.
Seems to be a scam
After I bought and plugged in 2 units, my power usage went up. They obviously draw power. DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE. IT IS A SCAM. Their marketing suggests 90% savings. I would have been happy with 50% savings. My power usage went up though.

Very suspicious evidence of functionality
I encountered this product called Voltbox, this item is used to reduce your electricity bills so i was interested and went to their site and the evidence that it works was just a twitter screenshot and the screenshot included comments of people commenting on a twitter post but the names looked very suspicious as 2 of the users had also commented on the webpage itself but with different names
