We contacted A&A Walter’s following the sudden passing of my father in law Laurence Hiscox.

A&A Walter’s had been used by our families previously and once again they did not disappoint.

Our Funeral Arranger Karen Newey was absolutely brilliant, her compassion and guidance made organising the funeral very simple and the care and respect shown by the staff on the day of the funeral was second to none.

We would also like to thank Rachel Hodges for her help and support in making the process of arranging a Golden Charter prepaid funeral plan so easy.

We shall always be grateful to A&A Walter’s for the fantastic service and care provided such a difficult time for our family.

Huge thank you to Karen and the rest of the AA Walter’s team for the service you provided for my grandad Peter’s funeral. We were all so grateful for the compassion and support we received. Nothing was to much trouble, Karen went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and kept us informed with all the details. My Nan would like to express her gratitude to you all for helping us at such a difficult time.

Andy and the team provided and excellent service for our fathers funeral. Everything was dealt with compassionately from the very first contact to the day of the funeral. We would definitely recommend A&A Walter’s of Sedgley.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, A&Awatlters funeral directors provided an exceptional level of care and compassion that truly eased our burden during an incredibly difficult time. The chapel was serene and welcoming, and the entire atmosphere was one of quiet respect.

The staff were incredibly kind and understanding, always available to answer our questions and offer support. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, from the initial planning stages to the final farewell. Their genuine empathy and gentle demeanour were a source of great comfort to our family.

We were particularly impressed with [ Stacey ]., their organisation, their communication, skills she provided. It made such a difference to us, knowing that everything was being handled with such care and expertise.

We cannot thank AA Walters[Funeral directors] enough for their outstanding service. They truly made a difficult time more bearable, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and professional funeral care. They transformed a moment of grief into a beautiful and memorable tribute.

We would highly recommend A&A Walters their professionalism is second to none and this together with their respect and courtesy towards all members of the family makes them great ambassadors or their trade. From Stacey giving advice and help with our requirements for the day to the guys looking after our dear departed whilst he was in their care and then guiding us on the day of the funeral.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at A A Walters who was involved in making the arrangements for my dad’s funeral on 4th March. A special thank you to Sam, who guided us through the process from our very first meeting, patiently explaining everything, answering all our questions, and offering invaluable advice from start to finish.

I would also like to extend my deepest appreciation to Anthony, who took exceptional care of my dad from the chapel of rest to the church, burial, and wake. His professionalism, attention to detail, and kindness towards my mum and our family were truly remarkable. He went above and beyond to support us during this difficult time, and we are incredibly grateful.

Following the sudden demise of our mother/mother in law Doreen Cartwright who sadly passed away enroute to her Christmas vacation. We contacted A&A Walter’s who sorted everything out for us as promptly as they could bearing that this happened over the Christmas and new years holiday

Our mom was given a good send off

My Dad was taken with much respect and dignity and we were kept informed of everything throughout. We were given time to visit him and they handled it all with such compassion. The service was perfect with my mum and family looked after. The ashes were stored until we got our own box and transferred. Everyone was so approachable and caring.

During one of the worst times you can experience it was so comforting to have such a kind and sympathetic company as well as being so professional at the same time. I cannot thank Stacy Nuttall at A&A Walters enough for arranging my Nan, Joan Flavell’s funeral and i can honestly not put into words how Stacy helped and guided myself and my family through such a devastating time for us. Stacy is a credit to A&A Walters and I would recommend Stacy and A&A Walters to anyone going through a bereavement.

I'm so greatful of the awesome, patient, caring service received by us the family of the late Ms Fearon. I especially want to thank Stacy who supported us through the process step by step, taking time never rushing giving advice words of comfort and guidance from our first meeting. All the staff that were involved Phil while our meeting was brief your kind words and ability to make me laugh when it seemed like it would have been impossible to even smile again. We found them to be very professional and understanding when dealing with our wishes.
A particular mention to Stacy, who was attentive nd very efficient in all our communications and meetings.
This made a difficuly time , with the passing of our father - Eric, easier.

Losing a loved one is a truly awful event - nothing can prepare you for it and having to face this loss whilst dealing with the ‘administration’ a death creates is a great burden to bear.

My Dad, Malcolm Halford, passed away suddenly during November 2024 leaving us reeling, devastated and shocked. Enter A A Walters - a local firm we had used previously when my Uncle passed away.

From our initial appointment with Karen Newey to discuss arrangements, we were handled with kindness, genuine empathy and respect and most importantly for me and Mum - so was my Dad which gave us great comfort.

Karen guided us through funeral choices, factful and informative with no pressure whatsoever. She was patient and frankly no request was too much - Dad passed in hospital and I was particularly ‘bothered’ about him being there. With this in mind Karen and the Team promised they would bring him to The Manse as soon as possible - even calling me to reassure me Dad was nearly home in Tipton.

The Funeral was a beautiful send off - pitch perfect for a fantastic Man, and it goes without saying this is due to the exceptional service of Dave our Director on the day, who went above and beyond to help me with the Funeral Guests, Donations and setting up of the Wake - he was the glue that held it all together alongside our Celebrant Helen Emery who made Mum feel totally at ease and did my Pop’s proud on the day with the service she delivered.

A loss is something I wish for no one but if this review helps someone in need to choose a provider at this horrible time then I will take comfort from that.

My wife passed last October, and I contacted Steph at A&A.Walters and we met and she was so helpful and understanding and she helped me through the process. She arranged everything for us and it all went like clockwork,Great company and very professional

Walter’s recently arranged our mom’s (Iris James). Steph was our point of contact and she was very helpful, professional, understanding and caring. Even though we changed a few details at the last minute she never made us feel like we were a nuisance or an inconvenience at all. Nothing was too much trouble. She called a few times just to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. Her communication was second to none, keeping us well informed and updated at all times. The day of the service the drivers were very polite, professional and understanding also. Walter’s provided a service that we could not fault and would recommend them to others.

A & A Walters has been our family Funeral Directors for as long as I can remember, they did the funerals for my Nan, Dad and a couple of Auntie’s. So there was no other place I would go for my Mom’s funeral (Jean Gibson). From the moment we stepped through the doors Karen Newey made us feel very comfortable at such a traumatic and heartbreaking time, she is such a kind, caring compassionate lady, even talking to me & consoling me after I picked my Mom’s ashes up. Other people I would like to mention are Anthony (Mortician) who was very kind & caring when I visited my Mom in the Chapel, along with Debbie Bates (Celebrant) who performed the beautiful service and everyone that attended said we did Mom proud. when our cousin Gwen died in November we engaged A and A Walters with whom she had a funeral plan. we met with Karen and we were given first class attention and advice. our family has used Walters over the years and have found that their service is always very professional but dealt with in a friendly way. special thanks to Karen who was a great help.

Hi am writing this review because we had fantastic help as soon as we walked through the door to arrange our mom/mother-in-law’s funeral with A&Awalters.. Karen who helped us get through everything what we needed to give our Lily Turner the best send off she could have , we couldn’t have asked for a better service. Very friendly and caring . A&A Walters were absolutely superb throughout, when arranging my beautiful mom, Valerie Abbotts, funeral. When you’re going through the most traumatic and heartbreaking time of your life, you need a calm and reassuring hand to guide you through and that is exactly what they provided. Karen Newey was our Funeral Arranger and she was so incredibly caring and understanding. Every phone call, every meeting, Karen just put us at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. A truly professional service was provided from start to finish. A&A Walters did my beautiful mom proud and for that we will be eternally grateful.

I used Walters for my husband Gary cashmore funeral.They were wonderful from start to finish .Stacy went through everything step by step and sorted everything out for us so we didn’t worry about anything,The staff on the day were immaculately turned out and seemed to just appear when needed.As a family we have used Walters several times so I didn’t hesitate to use them again .They provide an impeccable service just when you need it the most so that’s the one thing you do not have to worry about .
