The yarn that I received is luxurious - I love how it feels and love how it looks once it has been knit. I am trying to get used to the giant needles that came with the kit - don't love them yet but I'm giving it time. I have never knit with this combo of needles and thick yard before so I am not sure how my stitches should be looking. I haven't found a resource with the company yet that can help me with my questions.

I ordered two projects and a project bag after not purchasing kits for a while. I have experience with WAK so I knew the yarn would be great quality, but I had never ordered a bag from them before and I LOVED the simple new WIP bag that launched. Truly, it is what I was most excited to get.
Well, it came and it was quality material, looking just like the picture on the store. Unfortunately, the pocket on my bag was defective and the bottom stitches not enforced. Before I realized this, I lost some of my own items I'd put in the pocket (small knitting scissors, a cable needle, loose stitch markers). Customer service worked with me to replace the bag, free of charge. When I told them that I was frustrated because I'd lost the items from the pocket, and that was frustrated because crafting scissors are not cheap and I already have a hard enough time keeping track of my cable needles.. They responded by offering to send me a bag of accessories to replace what I'd lost. Even though they could not replace the items perfectly because they did not come from We are Knitters, the company still found a way to make up for my missing items. I truly appreciate them going out of their way to get me back these things. Knitters, know how important it is to have a good pair of scissors and stitch markers at the ready. I'll definitely purchase from this company again.

So, I had sent an email for a refund and no one responded (it got lost in the ether). Then I sent multiple requests and finally (after a month) it got escalated. I eventually got the refund, I had to send another email because the return label wasn't attached, and it took forever for customer service to respond. I wish you were more responsive as this could have been a very quick response. Your products are great, but slow customer service will hurt you in the long run.

Ultimately, We Are Knitters DID take care of my issue and sent me a new order to the correct address. It took some perseverance, but they did make it right. Thank you, We Are Knitters!
I placed an order and LITERALLY 5 seconds later realized that the incorrect address had auto populated in Shopify. I sent an email immediately upon noticing this. After no response for a few hours, I attempted to chat with the bot on the website and it sent an email to the company. The response I received the next day was that orders in an advanced state or after shipping cannot be modified. But I made this request when the order was 5 seconds old, not in an advanced state. I am very disappointed and now cannot get my order.

It’s sad, when you want to buy a pattern and you can‘t get it without yarn. The available colors of the yarn are very limited and the customer service isn’t helpful at all for finding alternatives. Looks very stubborn to me. I thought they want to make money with their business. Not very professional!

This is an update. After leaving negative review here someone from the company finally reached back out about my refund and the return. I returned the item, waited for four days from when the post office delivered it and had to email again to get the refund processed. Overall disappointing product and service, I would not order from here again.

WAK sent yarns from different dye lots in my first kit order. I sent an email via the WAK website and received a professional, friendly response within 48 hours to remedy the situation, including options. That said, the quality and color of the yarn (two colors in this kit) is quite poor. The cotton feels cheap, is substantially thinner than that featured in the photo of the Venice Tee that I ordered, and the color is weak and washed out. Given the cost of the kit at almost US$80, I don't think I will be ordering from WAK again.

Fabulous customer support!! I received a pattern that is done with a chart, not written out. Charts are impossible for me due to an eye condition. I emailed to ask for a return and they offered me another pattern, written pattern, and a free skein of yarn due to higher requirements needed. Now they would have taken back the kit, however, I wanted to knit! And they solved my problem. So excited to get the package and begin to work. Thank you!!

My customer service experience was very positive. I had two questions about yarn supply and pattern adjustments. Each enquiry was acknowledged and within 24 hours I received an answer to both queries. The response was friendly, helpful and prompt. I look forward to my next Son cardigan project!
