Amazing customer service
After spending hours on the phone to Apple and then taking my phone to a very experience friend, i had written off my phone entirely.
The guys at the store offered to take my phone for free and see if they could make it work, which they did.
Just amazing!
Iphone charging problems
My iphone wouldn't charge and it was a month away from being eligible for an upgrade. I was fearing the worst and having to get a new phone and contract. I took it into Western Computers on the off chance that they could do something. Well, Louis couldn't have been more helpful and patient with an old man! He established pretty quickly that the non charging was down to fluff in the charging port. He cleaned it out, cleaned the whole phone and made sure it charged up okay to about 15%, all at no cost to me. In response to my questions, he said that the phone should have a life far exceeding two years apart from possibly needing a new battery. He showed me how to check out the battery's health (84%) and that once it got down to 80% it would be time to change which they could do for about £65 while I waited. Best decision I ever made to go and see Louis!
Matthew Saved my Apple iPod Classic 80 GB (6th generation) Music
I had installed software via online that caused extended problems with my iPod. For six days I prayed hoping that someone could fix, restore and recovery my 'oldies music' back to my Apple IPod Classic 80GB (6th generation).
Going to meet with Matthew was like a breath of fresh air. He was polite, knowledgeable and extremely patient during the time he helped to resolve my issue.
I am pleased to say... My iPod is now working and that once again I have my oldies music. Thank you Matthew.. Well done!

Delighted with service from Rob. My iPad worked again when I used the magic keyboard to charge the iPad. He's saved me 1k, I no longer need to buy a new one. It's charging slowly but surely. There was no hard sell, Rob did show me the new iPad Pros
and gave me sound advice. Do support this independent, they are really helpful, genuine and friendly. They didn't charge me for this advice, I will definitely go back in the future and buy products from here. Thanks so much, a very happy customer.
Fantastic service from Matt in Cheltenham
Walking past the Cheltenham branch today, I thought I’d just pop in and see if they had any ideas about why my iPhone had stopped connecting to the internet. I’d been advised that it would need to be sent off to Apple for investigation & repair, and I’ve been reluctant to do this for months because I didn’t want to be without my phone. Matt was absolutely fantastic - polite, personable and a complete wizard! Within seconds he had guessed the issue and fixed it! I honestly couldn’t believe it, and I’m so grateful. Absolutely brilliant service, thoroughly recommend this store, and huge thanks to Matt.

Without a doubt the service and care I received from the team at Western Computers, Cheltenham, has been second to none. From the Manager, Joost, to each and every one of their staff, they have been proficient at their job, caring in manner, and professional in every way. Needless to say, I have not been the easiest of customers of late, constantly visiting them for a problem that was dealt with in the most efficient of ways. Thank you again for everything you have done, and if I don’t see you again soon, that’s a good thing 😂.

Fob me off with faulty replacement that knew was worse
While the staff in the shop are pleasant and mostly helpful (there is one that is very patronising) the Apple Care service their “Repair Team” supplied was disgusting. This is an Apple Care service: They replaced my new model ipad (faulty c connector) with someone else’s faulty ipad (faulty battery) - which they must have *known* was faulty - I saw they had checked the battery with last 10 days). When I returned that one they said they could repair it for me. F* that. Why did they try to fob me off with it in the first place? Apple Care says ‘like-for-like’. WC staff did not tell me that if I contacted Apple that I would get a new one. Apple we apologetic and said as subcontractors that is not the service they should have advised. Apple were great sent me a new ipad before I got the 2nd faulty one back. WC ‘expert’ in the shop (the patronising one) tried to tell me it was ‘normal’ for a iPad mini to loose charge with nothing on (no WiFi, no pencil no apps) switched off from 100% unplugged down to 30% in 6hrs - with no activity. B*ocks - I had a iPad mini before I know that is not true. Also I can google… he lied to me. I am a grey haired, disabled old woman so I guess he assumed he could - however I am physicist of 35yrs…..this is Oxfordshire after all. All in all, Don’t trust them. This must be normal service to them.

Excellent Service
I had a problem with the screen on my IPad mini which isn’t even 3 years old so I went to Western Computers in Chester. They checked it over and because I hadn’t had it long, it was in excellent condition and they thought it should be repaired free of charge under Consumer Rights they advised me to intact Currys (where I bought it from) and Apple which I did but they wouldn’t help me so I went back. They sorted it out for me and replaced the screen and I am so grateful to them. They were all so helpful.

Superb service today from Jack and Steve at WESTERN COMPUTER CHESTER who tried to solve a problem with the blue tooth connection on my iPad. Nothing was too much trouble by either and after a thorough investigation (with out success) on my iPad I ended up buying a new one for less that it would have cost to repair the old iPad. We had issues with syncing of data to a new Iphone bought elsewhere.
Went to Western Computer as walk-in customers and asked for assistance.
They were very obliging and helpful and got our Iphone all synced and everything as it should be.
Alex and all the team were all super, courteous, friendly, helpful.
This was not chargeable but would've been happy to pay for this assistance as phone was not purchased with them.
