Only one possible improvement -- I don't mind waiting my turn for support, but it's near impossible to NOT do anything else. It would be really helpful if you could find a way ring a bell or flash the text window when the tech is finally available.

I tried to do something I really know what I was doing.
I reached out to technical support, they fixed my problem and then broke something else. They kept in constant contact with me while everything was resolved.
This is not the first time they have helped me fix problems due to my own incompentance.

In the last 8 months or so, I've frequently relied on Westhost's customer service, having been a customer for over a decade. The improvement in service quality is evident and commendable. I'm content with my chosen package and its cost, feeling assured of value.
A recent incident where my server was mistakenly closed reminded me of a past issue when backups were a concern. However, this time, Westhost promptly reopened my server and resumed email service within 5 minutes, showcasing their enhanced efficiency and reliability.

I don't have resolution to my issue. This is my first case opened. I received a response to make a change and the case was closed. I would expect the case would be open until I confirm resolution.
Bottom line: I am still not getting emails to ATT cell phones.
April 5, 2024 update: We moved past a MX configuration issue with correct values. However, AT&T is still blocking emails. After support responded that a blacklisting for the email service at Westhost was cleared, we tested again. Emails are still not getting through and it was uncovered that the IP address range is also blocked. The WestHost technical team has provided updates that they are still working to resolve.
Our testing process is to send a single email to a company recipient who has AT&T cell service. This is via the web based email client provided by Westhost.
Please note we are not mass mailing to phones, only to company cell phones of our technical team to notify when an company issue needs to be addressed. This is approximately 2-3 emails times 4-6 company recipients a week. Of which, only the AT&T cell phones messages get blocked AND this is only 2 phones which are on call once per month.

Daniel N was so helpful. He stayed with me for two hours (!) while I worked with my site hosting company to resolve several serious errors on my website. He knew what he was doing, even when my web hosting company did not, and was very patient and supportive to resolve things that were well above my 'tech grade'. The feeling when you read the words "Everything fixed now" is such a relief. Many thanks!

I was with Westhost for close to 20 years. No problems, but then... They were purchased UK company, uk2group. Since, I received horrible support. Days without contact.
I finally took all my websites to another company.
I do not recommend!

Technical support is always amazing with Westhost! I run into issues when updating my Wordpress websites because I take extended breaks from web design, but whenever I run into an issue their customer support team always helps me with whatever the issue is! The problems are usually user error and they are very gracious with me. :-)
