I wanted ssl cheap and you hooked me up for free in about 5 minutes. I just wish you'd notified me when the free ssl program began, I hadn't done it because it used to be too expensive.

Have had a website with Westhost for several years. In the past when there was an issue we could call and quickly resolve it. I submitted a ticket last week and the problem has not been resolved. I am unable to contact support by phone. I finally got through to a human being by going to sales. I was informed that tech support doesn't have phones. The only way to access them is through Chat or Email. That didn't work. I will recommend all my Westhost web clients move their service to a new provider.

I have been a customer for about 20 years. WestHost has grown significantly in that time. My five stars are for the agent, Jannique, that just helped me, not for the company itself. I spent three days in a row, waiting on hold for an hour each time trying to resolve my issue. Even though I was #1 in the queue nobody would answer. It wasn't until I called the sales line instead of tech support and spoke to Jannique that my problem was resolved. There is no substitute for talking to a pleasant person who can problem-solve on the fly. I was ready to leave as a customer and Jannique won my loyalty back to WestHost. Thank you.

Still not in the account. This problem has been delayed over more than 3 days now because their support WILL NOT respond the same day.
So much for technical support that is available "24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year"
And they ask for private personal information and then reject it. IT'S A DOMAIN, NOT A HOSPITAL. Next they're gonna be asking for a social security number.
It would've been so easy to just disable 2FA (which we didn't even want in the first place) so I can just log in. Instead of providing a 4- digit customer support PIN, like what??🤣 I use your service once a year. You think I will remember that??

Been with this webhost for several years now during which time they've gone from a reliable company to the present arrangement which can't be called reliable at all.
Faults:
WHOIS data page FAILS when you try to update entries, which means there's no way to generate an EPP Auth code to transfer a domain name.
Customer support is non-existent. You're lucky if you get a reply to a new ticket. Chat support is "We're working on it" then you hear nothing for a week or more, if at all.
This is on top of my experience from a few months ago when old accounts were transferred to the CHI system with no information about the changes being sent to customers who were left trying to pay bills on the old hosting home page. Incompetence in all areas.
Other options exist. Avoid this one.

I had GREAT customer service today, July 3, 2023, from Jannique! I am a senior citizen; my website had gone down (due to billing card update); Jannique guided me through the (to me) complicated process of fixing this problem with such PATIENCE & COURTESY, and success in solving the problem, that I am in love with her kindness! I commend Westhost on providing such attentive and helpful customer service!

They will not answer the phone - have tried for days. All our gmail emails addresses get bounced back. Tried emailing but heard nothing.

I called WestHost support with a technical and billing question. John Q was able to answer both. He suggested I change my plan to one that was 66% cheeper with greater flexibility. He spent quite a lot of time with me and never did I feel rushed. He was patient, polite, spoke clearly and to the point. I hung up feeling that I accomplished more than I had planned.
