An everyday resource that combines depth and breadth

I've been using wikiHow for many years to help with all kinds of things, whether it's getting a tough stain out of a carpet when we spilled some wine, installing a new light switch, or even getting parenting advice. I've always been impressed by both the breadth and depth of its content. I've never come across a how-to topic that wikiHow didn't have covered in clear, accessible detail. I also appreciate that they have experts review and contribute to their content. Lots of misinformation and junk on the internet these days, but I feel like wikiHow is a respite from that all!

Accurate and helpful information

I’ve relied on wikiHow so many times, and it’s always been a trustworthy resource. I love that experts verify the content, so I know I’m getting accurate information. The step-by-step guides are super easy to follow, and the images make everything even clearer. What makes wikiHow even better is the community—there are forum pages and Q&A sections where people share their own experiences and advice. It’s great to have both expert-verified content and real-world insights in one place.

BEWARE as a Writer or Contributor to WikiHow!

If you are a writer or contributor, BEWARE writing for WikiHow. I wrote an article for them that now has over 250,000 views. They took my article, revised it, and removed me as the author and removed my site as the source reference link. This is extremely evil. They basically stole my article, its content and its concept and locked me out of it and took credit for it. God will repay, in Jesus Christ the Lord!

Thank you for sharing this concern. We really appreciate the time and effort contributors such as yourself put into creating content on wikiHow. To clarify though: like other wikis, wikiHow is a collaborative platform where articles are continually edited and refined by both wikiHow staff and our community of users. This is further outlined in our Terms of Use (https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Terms-of-Use), which explains the various ways in which User Content such as yours may be edited, updated, or revised, and the license you’re granting to both wikiHow and other users by creating content on wikiHow. Your contribution will always be recognized in the History of the page, where it shows exactly what you contributed to the article. We regret that this process has made you feel as though your content was stolen from you, but we want to assure you that this is not our intent and instead, this is simply how wikiHow and many other wiki-style sites (e.g. Wikipedia) operate and is consistent with our Terms of Use.

But is it worth paying for ....?🤔

wikiHow is good. They really are good. So good that they have inspired me, and made me interested on what else they had to say about a particular subject. However, it's a shame they charge users to access offline, PDF versions of their articles.

It's ok

It's ok. However, anyone can edit pages, and sometimes some are filled with inappropriate nsfw stuff.
