Leanne was so helpful

Leanne was so helpful
She kept us updated every step of the way.
We dreaded using a main dealer garage because we feared it would be so expensive but it was very fairly priced and quick response and detailed report about the issue. Leanne also provided option to pay interest free over several months.
Leanne is a top employee and I will be recommending Skoda service depot to friends

An Unforgettable Gesture From Wings Škoda

I don’t often write reviews, but what Wings Škoda did for our family deserves to be shared.

Over the weekend, we received a completely unexpected package from Paul, Lea, Becky, Lucie and Beth — gifts for our little girl.
It honestly stopped us in our tracks. The thoughtfulness, the kindness, the effort… it meant more than I can put into words. No company has ever made us feel so genuinely cared for.

We’ve always trusted Wings Škoda, but their support during our recent breakdown while on a caravan holiday reminded us just how special this team is.

In a moment that could have been incredibly stressful, they stepped in with calm, compassion and professionalism. They didn’t just fix a problem — they looked after us.

Wings Škoda has gone above and beyond for our family time and time again. Their service isn’t just excellent; it’s personal, human and full of heart. We are truly grateful for everything they’ve done.

Flawless Experience

Last week I took my car for its first service. I was pleasantly surprised; this was thanks to Leanne Humphrey. She was patient and took the time to explain everything to me. Once my car was finished, she called me to walk me through what work had been done on the car, as well as other things to keep an eye on.

In fact, I look forward to taking my car here again. I have so much confidence and trust in the team at Wings.

Poor workmanship and no accountability

My experience with Wings Škoda Peterborough was extremely poor, and I feel other customers should be aware of it.

The first red flag came at my first service on a one-year-old car, where I was left waiting for around 6 hours without anyone properly acknowledging me. For a main dealer, I found that unacceptable, and it set the tone for what followed.

Later, further issues arose around a dash cam installation carried out under Order 58200. After the first installation attempt, oily hand marks were left inside my vehicle. These were not minor marks in my view. They were obvious and unacceptable to leave on a customer’s interior. I also experienced DAB reception issues after the installation.

Because of those problems, the car had to go back for the dash cam work to be redone and the interior cleaned. I was not offered a courtesy car and was left without my vehicle for over a week while these issues were addressed.

When the vehicle was returned to me, Paul Reed scraped my car on my own drive while reversing. While that damage was later repaired, it remains part of the overall experience I had.

The most serious issue only became apparent much later, when the dash cam was professionally removed. At that point, I was informed that the rear interior trim above the rear window had been left misaligned and appeared to have been fixed through, leaving visible screw damage. This was not something obvious to me as a layperson in 2022, which is why it could not possibly have been resolved at that time. I provided photographs and raised the issue properly once it came to light.

Despite this, the dealership declined to remedy the issue, taking the position that modifying the trim was part of the installation process. At no time did I consent to my vehicle being altered in that way, and I do not accept that visible misalignment and exposed fixing damage represent an acceptable standard of workmanship from a main dealer.

What made this experience so poor for me was not one isolated event, but the overall pattern: being ignored, poor communication, issues following installation, being left without a vehicle while problems were corrected, damage during vehicle return, and then refusal to put right a later-discovered workmanship concern.

I had held back from leaving a review previously, but after everything that happened, I no longer felt staying quiet would be fair to other customers.

Based on my own experience, the high overall rating does not reflect the standard of service I personally received.

Overall, this was a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience.

Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about trusting Wings Škoda Peterborough with fitting work or with resolving issues when something goes wrong.

We would like to clarify a few points for transparency. Following the incident where your vehicle was damaged on collection, we addressed and repaired this promptly and without dispute. At the time, the matter was resolved to your satisfaction. Regarding the dash cam installation, the positioning required adjustment to avoid interference with the DAB signal. This involved modifying the trim to securely fit the camera in a suitable location. This was part of the installation process rather than damage caused during workmanship.

With respect to the interior marks, we recognise that this was frustrating and we addressed this immediately when it was brought to our attention, cleaning the affected areas on your return visit.

We also note that these events took place in December 2022. At that time, all concerns raised were responded to and resolved as part of our aftercare process.

We take all feedback seriously and always aim to deliver a high standard of service. While we regret that your experience has led to this review, we remain committed to supporting our customers and addressing issues fairly when they arise.

Amazing

Uh, where do I start...these guys deserve award for their transparency and customer service. My Google review year ago was not just good enough, I do apologise for that. These guys are more amazing than I have said before- all professional, most helpful and most customer obsessed team. Top noch in everything- diagnostics, communication, advice, pricing, efficiency. No guessing games on diagnostics, no hidden or made up issues- car goes in with issue and limp mode and in need of few jobs and comes out like brand new car with transparent vehicle check reports, jobs carried out and so on. All in one service plan explained, payment options to suit everyones needs. Warranty cover all sorted- just sit back and relax with no stress- car is in good hands. Branch feels very welcoming- fresh, good quality coffee and incredibly supportive team. I am not sure what else I can say other than recommend this garage for all your skoda needs. I had been with them for about 1 and half year and I can say they been only amazing with everything. Highly recommended.

Excellent Service

Visited Wings Skoda in Peterborough again this morning, this time for a repair to my front grille after an altercation with a pigeon on the way to work the other week. Service was spot on and the staff were really helpful. Becky made the appointment, rang me on Saturday as a reminder and let me know as soon as the car was ready. Excellent experience. Thank you

EDIT:
Unfortunately, whoever fitted my new grille this morning only stuck the VRS badge on with some really poor glue, so it came off when I washed the car this evening. Luckily it didn’t fall off when I drove home and I had a couple of number plate stickers I could cut to size and re-attach it…

ADDITION:
Wings Skoda service team contacted me this morning to apologise and offered to book the car in to rectify the badge issue, saying that the VRS badges are initially heat welded on at the factory but the dealerships have to use glue when dealing with repairs. I declined as the number plate sticker appears to be holding up sufficiently well but thanked them for their offer

Top class customer service

I recently ordered a number of accessories for my Elroq from Wings Škoda and was a little disappointed that one of the items (a boot mat) was incorrect and would not fit my car. However, I needn't have worried as Caleb immediately responded to my complaint, sent the correct item and arranged for the incorrect one to be collected from my home and returned. Excellent customer service from a company I will definitely use for future purchases. Highly recommended.

She came over to me as I was waiting for my car and served me with coffee and told me at what stage we were at. Routine service

Routine service carried out in 1.5 hours whilst I waited which was quicker than promised. The price was as quoted. Lea helpfully suggested a local cafe for breakfast which was excellent and the coffee at Wings was wonderful. A pleasant customer experience.
