I have my trash picked up on Thursday's well this Thursday the trash guy leaves me a note telling me not to over fill my trash can so my lid will shut one it's kind of hard for the lid to stay down when the wind was blowing 25 miles a hour here in Decatur yesterday so, from now on I will duck tape the lid down and he can figure out how to open the trash can up to get the trash out of it and he was also complaining about my blue trash can that I have in front which I already know that they will not empty the boxes out of it but it's staying out in my front yard wether he likes it or not don't care if he wants to play dirty I can too

Our experience with Wastify AI has been genuinely positive. The platform brings real clarity to waste management by replacing estimates and assumptions with verified, reliable data. The dashboards are easy to use and make it simple to understand waste performance across buildings, which is especially helpful for day-to-day operational decisions.
The use of RFID tracking and AI tools adds a strong layer of accountability. It becomes very clear where waste is coming from, how it’s being disposed of, and where improvements can be made. This has helped reduce contamination and made recycling performance much easier to manage. Reporting, particularly for ESG and compliance, is also far more straightforward than traditional methods.
Online customer support cannot resolve issues. The call in support is frequently unavailable even before the 4:30pm close and there is no message system.
The city of Simi Valley and Moorpark should review this service provider. They frequently miss bin pickup and charge for services not provided.

This is an $89 BILLION company pushing its cost of doing business (credit card processing fees) onto its customers. This isn't a mom & pop operation, it is pure, unadulterated corporate greed. Has billed me more than the negotiated municipal rate two billing cycles in a row and refused to fix it or even respond to inquiries.

absolutely awful avoid at all costs!!!
absolutely awful avoid at all costs!!!
The amount if times we ring up a month to say that we have had a collection, supposed to have credits for missed collections which we dont get is a disgrace
Then no notification of the contract auto renewing
I wouldn't recommend these and the worse thing I did for my business was go ahead with these.
Incompetent, unreliable, un helpful service.

Be careful, they quote one price and charge a different one, and they don't refund the full amount. Although they themselves misled me, which, in my opinion, is a scam! There are other companies that are transparent and cheaper!

Charged me for a trash can they were supposed to pick up for 5 months. Told me they never received the cancellation and apparently have no recore of me contacting them (including the last 5 calls in August 2025 which included me calling every time they forgot to pick it up on my pick up day). before getting it at the end of the month.
They then, proceeded to charge me a late fee and have just been continuously charging late fees to my account even though everything has been paid. They are corrupt and looking to nickel and dime everyone where they can to save costs.
*Edit: I was already told by management that there is nothing that can be done because they don't have anything showing that I contacted you until August and then they only claim I reached out once. I even recently had to file through the app for a missed pickup that never came.
But the manager told me the only thing I can do is write a review and contact Ypsilanti Township about the issue.*

We called the company to place a special pickup for some bags of leaves, as the garbage collectors refused to pick them up a few weeks in a row. We were quoted 40 dollars for the 6 bags of leaves which weighed no more than about a pound a bag. The next week they came out and picked them up but then two weeks later we got a bill in the mail 127 dollars for the pickup, more than triple the original amount quoted for no additional pickup items...with no warning or explanation 🙄

If you have a problem, I would suggest you contact
wmcares wm.com first. Calling the recommended numbers at the time did not solve my problem, but
wmcares wm.com absolutely did solve my problem. Give it a try, you will be happy you did. Waste Management acquired Morgan Disposal, and now many customers are unhappy with their subpar service. Why would they want to encourage customers to leave after spending, I would guess, hundreds of thousands of dollars? They missed a pickup at my residence and said they would not make it up. If I put out extra garbage, they would charge me extra. I am definitely going to switch in 2026.

they lie cheat and steal. manipulate waste bins to force over filling charges. they say it's unintentional but there are 4 different videos of their drivers doing this action to push extra charges through. do not trust, they lie and claim it was the drivers but I spoke to one of their guys and he says they get a kick back for each over filling charge.

WM bought out Rays trash who we used for 10+ years with no issues. WM constantly will not pickup our trash or recycling. I've seen their trucks just pass by our house multiple times on the cameras.
Then they also raised the price exponentially as well as sent us multiple late payments which we had paid on time. There is hardly anyone that picks up the phone to dispute the charges and when they do pickup, they are very rude and hang up on you without confirming anything.
We've had enough with this and have been on the phone for 2 hours trying to get someone to confirm that we are fully canceled. All we know is that we are getting charged an additional $75 for can pickup.

Keeps getting more expensive/year and they now nickel and dime you for every little thing on top of that.

Avoid like the plague. WasteManagement is an awful company. They are crooks. My bill went doubled in price in 2 years. For what? Their service didn't change. Fixing billing errors for missed pickups or other nonsense they tack onto your bill is impossible because you can't talk to a person. There are fees associated with everything. This company sucks. Use a different trash hauler.

My experience with Waste Management over the last five weeks has been extremely disappointing.
They changed our collection day without proper notice. On one occasion, they barely emptied our trash—most of it was left behind. They skipped service due to snow and ice, yet I saw their trucks nearby and competitors collected my neighbor's trash without issue.
Customer support via chat was completely unhelpful—lacking empathy and refusing to take any responsibility. However, when I called customer service for billing, the experience was much better. They were courteous, helpful, and even offered a credit for the three weeks of issues. It’s unfortunate that the initial chat representative wasn’t empowered or skilled enough to resolve the service problems, as that would have made the entire experience far less frustrating.
Three of the last five weeks have been problematic, including during Thanksgiving when we hosted family. I have options, and I’m strongly considering switching back to their competitor. Waste Management has shown poor communication, unreliable service, and inadequate customer care.
Bottom Line: I cannot recommend Waste Management based on this experience.

They miss pick ups. My favorite this year, our trash was suppose to be picked up this past Saturday now they saying it will be picked up this coming Friday. It is poor business ethics to keep charging people for the extra week when you didn’t get the pick up as paid. If they would prorate people for that missed pick up I would be fine. I have called and they said nope. Terrible company.

What I know:
1) After being a 10+ year business customer with them realized you can call them to negotiate a much better price, but then you question their ethics. We - 3 investment companies, lawyer, dentist, engineering firm, IT company and a NFP company - cancelled our business service contract with them despite getting an amazing new 64% decreased rate from them when they found out we were going to cancel. Then received our final month invoice of our contracted service which had a $100 increase due to inflation/costs, or because we are subsidizing their great deals for other customers who stay with them.
2) their contract is entirely in their favor, read the fine print about price increases and cancellation procedure.
3) customer service is not what they excel in is my experience during this process, in fact, unprofessional in my last phone call with them. And upon research found they lost BBB accreditation in 2025 after 3 years of constant customer complaints. Kind of says it all, doesn't it?

Recycling was hastily picked up, leaving some empty boxes around. They just could not go the extra mile and pick up the trash they created. Waste management peeps are just plain old lazy and inconsiderate. Regularly, after my trash is picked up, I notice that there is still a bag of trash in the bin. Too lazy to make sure it is all dumped. Too lazy to use the bin lifter. Really?!!!

SCAM!
Don’t use, I missed my payment due to changing bank details, called them up straight away to change them. Changed them over only to realise they took £85. They charged me £40 for a late payment fee. Ridiculous. I have been waiting for WEEKS for a bin collection and I have multiple smelly bins stinking everything out waiting to be collected. STAY AWAY

Most of the time our dumpster is only half full and 2 weeks ago when they picked up a few bags kept the lids open. They charged us $225 for overfill. No warning ect.... I would not recommend this company

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
I signed the collection for 12 months which I never had to used and told them serval times I did not need their services but will still pay the 12 months. Now after the 12 month I’m getting harassed on a daily basis saying they signed me up to another 12 month contract because I didn’t do the correct procedure to cancel when I told the several times. It’s an absolute disgrace of a company. Harassed me constantly with threats. Please just stay away
