Refund refused despite requesting within a week and not using the service
I subscribed to Worldpackers and paid for the membership, but I realized shortly after that the platform was not suitable for me.
I requested a refund within less than 7 days of the purchase and did not use the service at all (no applications sent, no trips, no confirmed hosts).
Despite this, my refund request was refused, with the justification that the membership is non-refundable.
While this may be stated in their terms, I believe this policy is extremely rigid and unfair to users who request a refund promptly and have not benefited from the service in any way.
This experience left a very negative impression. I would advise future users to be very careful before paying, as there is no flexibility or customer-oriented approach when it comes to refunds.

So far, all of my experiences have been great. The platform provides all the information necessary. All host provide the necessary information and you know what is expected. There are a variety of experiences and each one has been different, which I enjoyed. The only issues is when certain host don't even reply, but other than it has worked out great.

World Packers Changed My Life
I’ve now completed four exchanges through Worldpackers — from the lush mountains of Guatemala to the turquoise waters of Honduras and the vibrant culture of Thailand — and every single experience has been wonderful.

Canceled trip and wasn't able to write a review for the canceled host 😔
While I had a good experience with my most recent host, my first host canceled on me with about 2 weeks before my trip. She left me a message and was very cold about the situation. While worldpackers did reach out to help me find another placement I was not able to write a review for the canceled host. I should be able to warn others about this so they could avoid my situation. Worldbackpackers really needs to let people writereviews of a host cancels.

Its a great app to find volunteer programs, I didn't have any troubles with this, but anyway the whole experience depends a lot on the host, not the company itself.... but it has really great filters, questionnary and reviews so it fits all what an app like this needs.

WP is a great way of travelling.
I wish WP excisted while I was young, because then I would have travelled the world many times ❤️ WP gives a great opportunity to travel in a cheap way and get to know more about the country you are staying in, compared to "normal" tourism. Your "only" contribution is yourself and the work you do.

Can not recommend at all
Can not recommend at all. Bullied by other volunteers at a host in Dunslaughlin Ireland , who did nothing despite on arrival host and other volunteer stating hostile environment and admitting I left. In addition countless hosts cancelled last minute. Many demanded references after confirming , fake reviews under my name for one cancellation that in fact they cancelled , poor quality of food provided, in addition as an English speaker host expected me to teach other non speaking English volunteers English because they couldn't be bothered. At all times worldpackers did nothing. Disgusting and will never use again.

I didn’t meet ‘face to face’ but I still had a disturbing phone call with my host.

After the seventh one, I feel more like an ambassador than ever!
I've done a total of seven volunteer experiences in 3 countries and different regions of Brazil. I highly recommend Worldpackers to everyone. Today I receive messages from people interested in learning more, and I always share and recommend it. I dream of one day taking a course for the platform, but I need help. I don't know how to start on my own. Today I consider myself (and am) a Worldpackers ambassador, and I treat this with great pride, just like a degree or academic training. I'm very happy to have had the courage to do my first volunteer experience, and very pleased to continue challenging myself with new ones. In 2026, I plan to return! I've even thought about living like this, hopping from one job to another, hahaha.
