I had a wonderful experience with 1st Formations, particularly thanks to Libby Keane, who went above and beyond to assist with my company’s address update.
When an automated online filing hit a roadblock due to strict Companies House requirements, Libby didn't just report the issue, she proactively liaised with her team, identified the exact cause, and provided a clear, step-by-step solution. She thoughtfully prepared a formal Cover Letter of authority and proof of invoice for me to submit via paper filing, which made all the difference.

After reviewing your case, I can see that two separate orders were submitted.
For the first order, the name used to make the payment was completely different from the name provided for the company officer. As a result, it appeared that there were two different individuals involved in the application. As a regulated formation company, we are legally required to carry out Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on all clients. This means we must verify not only the company officers but also the individual who made the payment for the application.
While you confirmed that the payment name related to yourself, we were unfortunately unable to verify this based on the information provided. Due to our compliance obligations, we could not amend the records or proceed without successfully verifying the individual who made the payment. As a result, the order had to be cancelled and refunded.
A second order was then submitted. During our review, we identified that the proof of address document provided did not match the address entered on the application. This discrepancy required clarification before we could continue. Once the matter was reviewed and the discrepancies were resolved, my colleague confirmed that the application could proceed.
Following this, I can see that you requested a refund instead. We appreciate that these additional checks can be frustrating and may have caused delays. However, identity verification is a mandatory part of our regulatory obligations, and we can only proceed when the information provided matches the supporting documentation and satisfies our compliance requirements.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We wish you all the best in your future business endeavours.

Simple change of address update took longer
Earlier the registration were a breeze this time it took unusually longer with simple updates like change of address but follow up and then call and then again follow ups - delayed the registration like by a month
