Brian and Rob, on the basic electrical course, have been brilliant, so knowledgeable, as Richard Feynman said, if you can’t explain something in simple terms, you don’t really understand the subject.... See more

I’ve been doing my gas engineering course with access training and my tutor Steve has been nothing short of amazing! He takes his time to properly explain things throughly and go through it with you slowly if you’re finding it hard. He even tried to demonstrate things. He helps us out even in after hours.

I recently completed my Level 3 Electrical NVQ Practical Training with Access Training, and my instructor, Charles Usigbe, was excellent throughout.
Charles was extremely attentive and made a real effort to ensure everyone understood both the practical work and the reasoning behind it. His teaching was thorough, clear and well structured, and he was always happy to give extra guidance where needed.
What really stood out was the personality Charles brought to the course. He made the training enjoyable and engaging, bringing plenty of humour, energy and charisma to the sessions without ever losing focus on the quality of the teaching.
He also regularly gave advice and practical knowledge beyond the scope of the course, which made the training feel much more valuable and relevant to working in the electrical industry.
Overall, I had a really positive experience with Access Training, and Charles was a huge part of that. He is a knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely engaging instructor, and I would highly recommend both him and the Level 3 NVQ practical training at Access Training.

Just finished my practical training with Simon. So far the course and experience has been amazing. Simons way of teaching is exactly how I like to learn and he has given me the tools, knowledge and most importantly the confidence to go in and smash my practical exams. Thanks Simon and thanks to Access training. Anyone with doubts about this company and its courses need not worry. They do exactly what it says on the tin....... and then some.

I recently undertook my electrical NVQ assessments at the Cardiff centre. James ran the training and assessments. He made the whole process a lot less stressful, knew the course material inside out and was just generally a brilliant trainer.

I am currently on my last day of my practical training at Edenbridge with Simon Rose, what a absolute amazing teacher! he has made this process such a great experience. I can honestly say I feel soo much more comfortable and confident with testing and inspections.

I’ve just finished my Level 2 and Level 3 electrical practical training at the Southampton centre, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
Mark Woodford was an outstanding tutor from start to finish. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and thoroughly professional, but what really set the course apart was his ability to inject plenty of humour into the sessions. Electrical theory and practical application can be intense, but his teaching style kept everyone engaged and genuinely helped the subject matter sink in.
I feel far more confident heading into the next stages of my qualifications. Highly recommend Mark and the Southampton team!

For my Electrical Core practical training in Edenbridge my trainer was Simon Rose. Simon is an excellent and thoroughly engaging teacher, combining a wealth of knowledge backed up with loads of real-world experience. During the two weeks of intense training, Simon gave me the confidence to take it to the next level.

Electrical course well taught and easy to follow, more in depth than most places. Simon at Edenbridge was a massive help and a great teacher. Not just for the practical and course specification. But for day to day problems encountered as an electrician. Getting us ready for the real thing. Would definitely recommend.

Deciding to take the jump into something I had been debating for a while, I was sold flexible training a world of promises. I decided to pay in full so I could fully commit.
From that point I have had nothing but issues, the only webinars were subpar, having to invest more money into books to do my own studying. Then having to wait weeks for an exam date, which was being held in a demolition site, leaking water through the roof, and having open book exams but being given sheets of paper with pages missing. After that be prepared to have weeks if not months waiting for the next steps of practical training, following be another 6-8 week wait before you can even sit the assessment for that. Access are over selling their courses, over booking classes and have no availability for people. I have noticed that those who are paying monthly get better treatment than those who pay upfront.
I was sold a local centre which would take me 20 mins to attend, perfect. Until i found out it’s just one of their offices that you can only do about 3 days worth of training there. Then they expect you to travel to their other centres. For example London to Manchester to be able to get a space. Due to this there is even more limited space with people fighting to get them. It’s an issue that every student is facing.
The only saving grace is that their practical tutors are amazing and extremely helpful. But that doesn’t fix the issues of extreme waiting times (when we just want to start working), false training centres where you cannot use gas, water or solder (eg dartford and Croydon), the lack of communication from admin staff. Even when you do get someone they seem to disregard your concerns. (Again those paying monthly get seen to quicker),
It feels like an over sold scam from a company that has grown too fast for their own good and prioritising profits over students

For me the practical training has been great, I have worked with Stuart and Callum and they have both been absolutely amazing, full of knowledge, extremely helpful, and amazing instructors! I would highly recommend for practical training.
However I have heard from others on the plumbing course this differs per center, I went to Edenbridge and Dartford.
Nothing against the instructors at all, but a couple of things from the practical side, it seems different centers allow students to do different things, I wanted to plumb in a bathroom which could be done at the center but was told we are not allowed to until the assessment, but other people from different centers were allowed, so it is unfair that they get to practice that before the assessment and I didn’t…
The office side of things is a mix, some people you get through to are very good, and others are not, the waiting time can be extremely long to get someone on the phone. I still get emails asking me to sign up to the course and chaser emails even though I am already on it!
If you have a lot of free time and can wait for the theory, and wait for the practicals then I would say it’s a good course to do. I was lucky and managed to complete the 3 weeks practical training almost back to back.
As a whole I think access training are good, there are just some bits that are very frustrating. And I would recommend this course for people who are looking to qualify over a longer period of time.

Having completed my NVQ Level 3 training with Dr Charles at Edenbridge. The experience of learning from his knowledge was expectional. His guidance, patience and knowledge in his field are exceptional.
I walked into the class 2 weeks ago, spent 2 weeks in his class doing both practical & theoretical training towards my assesement, at the end of it I had not only a better understanding of my learnings, but empowered wanting to learn more.
Go Dr C 💪🏽

I've now done core electrical and NVQ training with Access, just completing the NVQ practical training unit with Charles. His knowledge is second to none when it comes to all things electrical. Ive found his training on electrical science particularly useful and enjoyed the training.

I’m writing this review after completing my practical plumbing training.
There was a 8 weeks wait for each of the first available theory exams and practical training which wasn’t ideal for me as I wanted to get everything done ASAP.
I did my theory exams in Coventry with no major issues, apart from a few low-resolution images EAL test that were quite hard to see.
The 3 weeks of practical training i completed in Edenbridge with Callum. He’s very knowledgeable, approachable and has answered all my questions and then some. Can’t recommend him enough!
4 stars mainly because of the waiting time and the distance I had to travel for the first available practical training. I’ll update the review once I’ve finished the rest of the course.

Have just completed NVQ training with Charles Usigbe at Edenbridge. I have learnt so much and had a great time. Charles pushed us when required to achieve perfect results. His knowledge is inspirational and gets the best out of his students.

Although the information provided to me prior to beginning the course differed to the actually course structure I have really enjoyed the Electricians course with Access. Every step of the way they have offered great experience, advice and tips. The practical training in Sheffield was fantastic, we had a great group and John our teacher was brilliant, I would recommend going there to anyone. It has given me a huge amount of confidence doing this as a career.
