Delayed luggage
Delayed luggage. Unable to reunite luggage with customers. Took 11 days and that was thanks to American Airlines. Customer service non existent. Has so far failed to respond to a claim. It couldn't be any worse. Never again. AVOID.
Fine airline/Terrible Customer Service
Fine airline, beyond appauling customer service. Website remarkably unhelpful and on line without service for over 40 minutes before I disconnected.
One of the worst airlines..
One of the worst airlines... sorry to say it but since the ticket purchase till return... I had various issues..
Don't recommend it
Tiny baggage allowance and expensive
The standard baggage allowance is 4kg and the size of a hand bag. I had to pay €80 at the airport for the pleasure of putting my baggage in the hold, and then carry all my electronic equipment with me through the terminal. They couldn’t even provide a plastic bag for me to put them in. More expensive than budget airlines, less baggage and the service is worse. Why pay more?

Shame on Air France
Shame on Air France! Sad racism by staff at Heathrow T4. I was told that the flight was too full for me to take my small carry-on on board. When I got on board, many if not all Caucasian passengers had their carry-ons. AF1181 check in at T4. Non-caucasians: do not agree when Air France / Heathrow staff say you cannot have carry-ons! This is quite common in Europe, including "random" extra security checks. The tragic aspect of the racism was that the staff lying to me was Indian (no doubt following corporate instructions).
Bad Business class service
Bad Business class service, not worth the money , not even premium economy is worth the expense. They pick and chose who to be nice and attentive to and ignore the rest. Worst business class and premium economy ever.
I was only trying to change my flight…
I was only trying to change my flight when I accidentally canceled my reservation. As soon as I realized what happened, I contacted Air France customer service hoping someone could help correct an honest mistake.
What disappointed me most was not the mistake itself, but the customer service I received afterward. There was very little empathy, no real effort to look for a solution, and no sense that anyone genuinely cared about helping. I understand that policies exist, but customer service should be about more than simply saying “there’s nothing we can do.”
As a customer, I expected understanding, professionalism, and at least an attempt to assist. Instead, I felt completely dismissed. The lack of care and support turned a simple mistake into an extremely frustrating experience.
Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed with Air France and the level of customer service they provide.
I’m flying from Paris to LAX on Premuim…
I’m flying from Paris to LAX on Premuim and wanted to upgrade to business, it was available and I picked my seat but my payment wasn’t going through so I called customer service, I was on hold for over an hour and half. Finally they come on send me a link to pay for ticket, payment goes through an hour later I receive a call that I don’t have the upgrade and I won’t be refunded for 7 to 25 days..
If I could give a zero, I would.
If I could give a zero, I would. I tried to change my flight on the phone (they said they couldn’t do it), through chat (they said I needed to go to the airport) and at the airport, where no Air France employees actually worked (they were a contacting agency), and so they said they couldn’t do anything either. The number they gave me to call for customer service was disconnected.
Previous experience from Canada to…
Previous experience from Canada to London and how they cared us not really a professional. Neither my claim was not properly looked into, Air France and the airport needs so many improvements.
0 stars
Honestly, Air France is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown. I am a loyal delta flyer and I often go to France through Air France. Every time I fly with them I experience horrible service. If I could give 0 stars I would. They are racist and discriminate accordingly, giving some people good service and others bad treatment on no consistent basis.
⚠️ WARNING
⚠️ WARNING: AIR FRANCE IS A RIP-OFF! Paid for Extra Legroom, Got Demoted, and They Stole Our Money! ⚠️
Flight: Manchester (MAN) to Algiers (ALG) via Paris
Air France Complaint References: C-11213303 & C-11177103
Do not trust Air France. They are a dishonest company that takes your money for services they do not provide, and then they legally rob you when you ask for a refund.
The Incident:
I traveled with my sister and her husband from Manchester to Algiers. Because it was a long journey, I paid a significant amount of extra money to book extra legroom seats for all three of us. When we boarded the aircraft, we were shocked to find that Air France had completely changed our seats, removed the extra legroom, and given our paid-for seats to other passengers!
The "Service":
When we confronted the cabin crew about this blatant error, they completely brushed us off. They didn't care at all and lazily told us that they couldn't do anything on board and that we just had to "file a complaint online."
The Robbery (The "Refund" Process):
We followed their instructions and filed a formal complaint (Ref: C-11213303). Air France’s response was an absolute slap in the face. They replied under reference C-11177103 stating:
"We would like to inform you that your EMDs (Electronic Miscellaneous Documents) have already been utilized. Therefore, there is no refundable balance remaining."
This is an outright lie and illegal practice! How can a service be "utilized" when we were physically forced to sit in standard tight seats? They literally took our money, gave our product to someone else, and are now refusing to give our money back, claiming we "used" it! To add insult to injury, they ended the email by saying they “look forward to welcoming you on board our flights again soon.” I will never fly with this fraudulent airline again.
Verdict:
Air France has zero customer service, zero ethics, and zero shame. They steal your money and hide behind automated, copy-pasted email templates. Save your money, save your sanity, and fly with any other airline but Air France!
Final Rating: 0/5 Stars ❌
I would never think i would say this…
I would never think i would say this about airfrance but they really dont care about their passengers.. we got downgraded last second before our flight and as a family with a child they didnt even care to help us get seats together they are expecting 4 year old child to seat alone on a international flight what a shame air france!!!!!! Customer service 0 helps and additionally we had to lose 2 days of travel time to find a seat to travel
I have been flying with Air France for…
I have been flying with Air France for the past 17 years, and unfortunately, I have noticed a steady decline in service quality year after year.
This decline is visible both in the customer service experience — whether online or by phone — and onboard, where the level of care and attentiveness no longer feels consistent with what Air France used to represent.
My most disappointing experience was during my first flight with my baby. As a parent traveling with an infant, I expected basic guidance and a minimum level of support from the cabin crew. Instead, I felt that the flight attendants were avoiding my questions. I was not asking for special treatment — only a minute of help to understand practical things, such as where to dispose of diapers and how certain baby-related needs should be handled during the flight.
Unfortunately, no meaningful guidance was provided. Traveling with a baby can already be stressful, and the lack of empathy, clarity, and assistance made the experience unnecessarily difficult.
After many years of loyalty to Air France, it is disappointing to see the service become less personal, less attentive, and less customer-focused. I hope Air France takes this feedback seriously, especially when it comes to supporting families traveling with infants.
The worst airline - do not fly Air France
The worst airline - super cramped (and I weigh 118 lbs) delayed flights - lost baggage- no customer support at all - they expect you to do all the leg work for the job you paid them to do as they are completely incompetent
My flight from Zurich to Paris was Delayed
My flight from Zurich to Paris was delayed. I would be too late for my Paris/Dublin flight. The staff at the check-in desk were friendly and extremely helpful. The booked me on an alternative flight direct to Dublin and offered me overnight accommodation at the Radisson Blu Zurich airport.
Good, but unnecessary stress
4 - Phone customer service preflight was very good for the most part. Helpful with adjusting my flight and answering questions. Conflicting info from two diff agents though. One said another flight wasn't available and another did after I found it online and called back.
4 - Seats on international flight were comfortable, service and food OK, clean.
2- They made us check our luggage at the gate saying it was "full" and then let others on after us with lots of carry on. (We were regulation size too - but at back of plane). Staff was kind on the plane though.
1- We had a 1hr 30min connection window: we weren't supposed to go through screening in Paris, but they directed us so poorly we had to. Then, in Paris, they go very slow, won't accommodate short connections, make u take ALL of your liquids out of the bag and remeasure it. We had to RUN to our connection and had minutes to spare!
Overall: I may use them, but definitely avoid Paris hub at all costs!
Warning don’t pay what they owe
Warning! They don’t pay you back for expenses due to delays even if they promise to do it and also have to do it according to the regulations. I will never travel with them again!
They lost our baggage flying from…
They lost our baggage flying from Manchester to St Maarten. We accept this happens and we're told we had 100 dollars each for emergency items. We did this ( taxis you collect our bags when they did arrive and some toiletries). Absolute joke trying to reclaim the money. They just closed the claim without paying us a penny...then sent a survey saying 'how did we do?'!
