Damaged TVs and poor customer service

I ordered a large Samsung TV, it arrived with a screen malfunction.
I asked for a replacement, it arrived with a large crack on the screen.
I asked customer services to send me a functioning TV, instead I got a refund.
The first TV was collected. No one turned up to collect the second TV, I’m still waiting.
The Amazon support page advises a typical 6h response time to emails, I’m still waiting days later.
The chat service and the call back service do not appear to work.

Yahoo AWS GAFAM Cloudflare Gmail... spams phishing and scammers' friends with impunity

Yahoo, Amazon, AWS, Cloudflare, Google... all complicit and friends of scammers and criminals... Yahoo Mail hasn't filtered phishing spam for two years now. I receive one to five emails a day in my inbox, emails trying to scam me, steal my data, including identity and banking information, etc., via fake websites and emails mimicking my country's social security system. There are fake traffic fines, fake toll bills, fake insurance policies, fake electricity, water, and telecom bills, fake subscription cancellations and payments, fake refunds, fake undelivered packages, and it goes on and on. I've reported it repeatedly to Yahoo, AWS, and Cloudflare, who claim to be taking it into account, but nothing has been done for years, and spam continues to flood my inbox. It's never even filtered by Yahoo Mail's spam filter, which is practically useless, especially spam from AWS and Cloudflare. Nobody cares, not even Spamcop or the authorities in my country, who are complicit in crime in general, given their slow and ineffective justice system. And what's worse, I'm also inundated with spam calls (illegal solicitation and fake numbers, including spoofing). I'm fed up. I've turned the issue over and over in my mind, but we're constantly told and pressured to change our email address, phone number, social media accounts, bank account, etc., and even change our identity, just like physically moving if we have problems with neighbors, spam, scams, or insecurity... What a wonderful society we have these days! Back in the past, we had humanity, an effective justice system, human moderation... but that was before the internet, or even at the very beginning of the internet. Now, that's all over, the peace and quiet, and it's open season for thuggery and complete impunity. What a shame! Tech has a bright future ahead, especially the GAFAM companies, who can do whatever they want with impunity, like gods, imposing their will on everyone who can never defend themselves, not even a sovereign nation. Nobody cares anymore. Oh well.

The best of the best

Amazon.fr has been my favorite for last 4 years. Awesome customer service, free and easily return, super quick deliveries, and very effective in every online business platform. I tried cdisount to just compare and my review is already in trustpilot in cdisount. They compare themselves with Amazon.fr but are very far from reality :))

I have done my best to give Amazon…

I have done my best to give Amazon multiple chances. But very recently I did order the supplement ACCUVISION (120 capsules) and they only delivered 30 capsules. That’s completely Unacceptable. And they didn’t even want to admit that I’ve ordered 120. They said that I only ordered 30, which is a complete lie. So I don’t recommend Amazon by any stretch. And they don’t even pay their employees very well at all n they are a multi billion company. Completely unacceptable

Extremely poor handling of a damaged delivery and misleading “out of stock” status

Amazon cancelled my original order (ASIN B08HSF4FY6) after it was damaged in transit and refunded me. At the same time, the item was marked as “out of stock until June 2026,” which forced me to purchase it directly from the manufacturer at a higher price.
Within days, the exact same item reappeared on Amazon at the original price — demonstrating that the “out of stock” status was inaccurate. I therefore asked Amazon to cover the €70 price difference, which resulted from a situation entirely outside my control.
After many hours in chat, multiple transfers between teams, and several broken timelines for follow-ups, Amazon ultimately refused to compensate the difference, insisting that they only do so when the replacement purchase is made again through Amazon — even though they were the ones who made that impossible in the first place.
The process was confusing, inconsistent, and deeply frustrating. Customer service kept repeating scripted answers rather than addressing the core issue. There was no clear escalation path, no dedicated claims contact, and no meaningful accountability.
If something goes wrong with your order, be prepared for a long, circular process with little flexibility — even when the problem clearly originates from Amazon’s own logistics and stock information.

Amazonly lousy Amazon delivery service

Delivery date delayed but system telling you your book ordered as Xmas gift will be delivered tomorrow. Until the message is changed to ‘contact the delivery company’: as there is an issue suddenly your bookshop is not responsible anymore . Go see DHL, who subcontracted to La Poste who tells you it is not tracked so what was supposedly under control nobody knows anymore where it is!!!
The attitude of Amazon reminds of an American president in charge who tells you that this was all Biden’s fault !!! ( except that Joe Biden is apparently not the president anymore and you cannot cherrypick when you are in charge)
To summarise goodbye Amazon. Never again! And don’t count on me for Amazon Prime when you are so lousy on the basic service.
In the meantime I discovered momox to buy English books from France.
It is apparently good and will at least never be as lousy as Amazon

While reading reviews from other people about Amazon and its appalling average mark on Trustpilot across all countries, it is obvious Mr Bezos does not care a thing about selling books anymore. Its operations are probably for sale while he makes much more profit selling tv programmes, food and cloud services (amazon prime, whole foods in the us, AWS ). What about boycotting the rest of his companies ?

Frequent AMAZON Customer

I have used AMAZON a lot over the years; and today I find myself questioning the business ethics of AMAZON for two key reasons:

1. When you leave a valid critical review on product / delivery / quality; more often than not, AMAZON deletes the review with unjustified reasoning.

2. Products sold with PRIME are usually more expensive than exactly the same product sold without PRIME. In this case a customer pays a monthly subscription for PRIME for free delivery, and sees a product marked up for free delivery, when compare to exactly the same non-PRIME product.

These two examples are reason for a one-star evaluation, despite generally good delivery experiences when using PRIME.

Amazon itself is great

So far I've never had any problems with Amazon itself; as a platform I find it very useful and generally my preferred online shopping platform. I've seen a lot of people complain about their articles and experiences, but that usually stems from 3rd-party sellers and not Amazon themselves, so as long as you are careful, everything should be fine!
So far I've always had great customer support and nothing to complain about.

I got a electrical product unwrapped with a big unremovable sticker on it, I got my delivery 16/12/2025

I got my delivery yesterday, and OK it was left outside, I am not complaining about that. But the item was an electrical product, brought to give as a Christmas present, it came in its own box with a big Amazon sicker on it with my daughters address on it plus the usually details.
But it was not wrapped in a plastic bag or a thing, I cant even get the label off, if it was raining, it would have been distroyed,, I am so disappointed with a item not being wrapped for delivery, you could see what the product was, my daughter ordered this for me on her account, with my card, the person I brought it for will think it's secondhand.
A very disappointed customer.

Wrong Product Delivered & Shocking Customer Support Behavior – Extremely Disappointed

I have been a loyal Amazon customer for several years and never imagined I would have to write such a disappointing review, but my recent experience has been extremely upsetting.

I ordered a Bosch Dishwasher on 30 November 2025, and the product was delivered on 05 December 2025. Since this was a large, sealed appliance, I trusted Amazon’s delivery process and did not open or verify the internal product details.

The real shock came on 13 December 2025, when the Bosch installation engineer visited my home and informed me that a washing machine had been delivered instead of the dishwasher I had ordered. This mistake was discovered only at the time of installation. When I contacted Amazon customer care to report this issue, I was connected to Mr. Dhruv from the specialised team, and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. Instead of apologising for Amazon’s mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and continuously interrupted me. He blamed me for not checking the labels on the packaging, said the fault was entirely mine, and clearly stated that he had “nothing to apologise for.”

What was even more shocking was that he claimed he was “not a regular agent” and could raise his voice if he wanted. This kind of behaviour is completely unprofessional and not something anyone expects from a brand like Amazon. As a customer, if I order a dishwasher, I should be able to trust that the correct product will be delivered. Expecting customers to open and inspect huge appliances before installation is unrealistic. Sending the wrong product is not the customer’s fault, and blaming the customer instead of taking responsibility is unacceptable.

This entire incident has severely damaged my trust in Amazon. A brand that has grown because of customer satisfaction should not treat its customers this way. I am extremely disappointed and hope Amazon takes responsibility and improves both its delivery checks and customer support behaviour.

Dishonest and evasive

In correspondence with their awful customer services, this company is dishonest and evasive. They also refuse to give customers their address for service of legal proceedings in France.

That is in addition to charging (much) more for everything than the Chinese online selling platforms, although their products are identical. Both offer equally appealing customer service, so I can't see anything that justifies the extra cost of Amazon.
