Bad Customer Service and Delivery
I ordered an item, which had a delivery date of the next day. The next day I received an email saying the product had been delivered even though it was not delivered. I contacted the courier who said they would get back to me. I then phoned amazon customer support and the man informed me that this sometimes happens and my product would probably be delivered in the next two days. I ordered the item because it had a delivery date of the next day. On the second day I phoned the courier again. They said it would now take 2 days to find my package. I phoned amazon again and the lady informed me that she would log a support call and it would now take 72 hours to track the parcel and then someone would contact me. At 18h15 the package was delivered and left with the security guard. The driver didn't even bother to call my cellphone to deliver the parcel directly to me. It has now been a week and no-one from the courier or amazon has phoned me to check that the parcel was indeed successfully delivered.

Amazon level has gone way down!!!! In less than one week I received a wrong product, and the second time my delivery was late, I received a message from Amazon at 11:30pm claiming they attempted a delivery but no one answered, which is a total lie!!! When I called customer service in the morning, the incompetent agent told me they will be there within an hour, it's been 12 hours and my delivery hasn't arrived!!!!!! There are other shopping websites, cheaper and better!!
Major trust issue — Amazon.sa failed to deliver the product I paid for
I placed my trust in Amazon.sa and purchased a high-performance laptop for professional use. The product was sold and shipped by Amazon, not a third party. However, I received a completely different and much lower-spec device.
I contacted Amazon.sa support multiple times and spent hours explaining the situation. All I asked for was a fair replacement with the same specifications. Unfortunately, they offered only a refund, despite the fact that the device I ordered is now out of stock and purchasing another with similar specs would cost three to four times more. I invested my full budget in this purchase based on Amazon’s reputation and did not expect this level of negligence.
This experience has caused major disruption to my work, and I’m left without a usable machine. I’ve also reported this to the Ministry of Commerce in Saudi Arabia.
I hope Amazon takes this matter seriously and reconsiders how they handle cases like this. Buyers deserve better protection and fair solutions when the error is on Amazon’s side.
Very bad experience with Amazon Saudi Arabia
I ordered a computer during the discount period, and the amount was deducted from my account, but the order was later canceled under the pretext of "unusual activity" and then the price of the computer increased immediately!
I contacted them multiple times and received no helpful response. I was completely ignored.
Unfortunately, it seems that canceling discount-related orders is intentional and lacks transparency.
I feel like I was scammed, and I warn anyone against fully trusting their temporary offers.

I had an awful Amazon experience here in Riyadh. The instructions I provided were entirely ignored, and despite numerous tries to make the delivery right, it was always a miss. I did not receive my order, and there has been no cash back since March 24, 2025.I've tried several times to contact Amazon, but there has been no answer. I believe my money was stolen.

Terrible service. Don't honour delivery deadlines, prices are generally higher than Takealot.l only shopped as l had a gift voucher. Courier collects on 11th, still not delivered. (Apologies, if not delivered by the 18th you can request a refund). I have had faster deliveries from Temu.
I have shopped with Amazon UK and US extensively which were great. The only similarity with SA is the name.
Worst Delivery Experience – Unprofessional Drivers and Poor Communication
I had a terrible experience with Amazon here in Riyadh. The instructions I provided were completely ignored, and despite multiple attempts to get the delivery right, it was a mess every time. The drivers were not only unprofessional but also responded rudely when I tried to clarify the delivery details. None of them could speak basic English, making communication nearly impossible.
As someone who is new to the country, I highly recommend avoiding Amazon in Riyadh. It has been one of the worst delivery services I've encountered. I had hoped for a smooth experience but instead faced frustration and disappointment every step of the way. Will not be using their services again.

Every time I have ordered from Amazon I have been 100% satisfied with the delivery and the item and Amazon's rates are very reasonable rates and great deals.

I've purchased three different items on different occasions with Amazon.SA(amazon.co.za). I order in the afternoon and the products arrive before 10 the following morning. They have used the courier guy for delivery whom are very professional and notify you by email and text if the fact that the parcel is out for delivery. I called amazon last week. They all you to fill in a call back on their site. I had barely finished typing when my phone rang. Efficient feedback regarding the product was given. So far all three products came with a free delivery option. I am happy with their service and the products. I would highly recommend them.

If I could give them a zero star I would. They did not include an AirTag loop worth about $10 in an order. Rather than simply refunding the money, they had to do an investigation and call them back. They claim that they could not call me back with the results. After their 72 hour investigation and waiting 20 minutes on the phone a rude associate tells me I will have to sign an affidavit that I did not receive an item. i.e. they don't take my word for it!!! I spent 000's of dollars with them. As far as I am concerned they are a bunch of thieves and do not deserve to be successful. They have stolen my money for the item and effectively are accusing me of trying to deceive them.
BAD BAD EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately, very bad experience.
I bought a product on the site written DEODORANT, when I recieved it, I opened the package to be surprised that it is an ANTI PERSPIRANT as written on the item.
I requested the return of the good three times or more each time the process is cancelled.
I called the customer service who assured that return is accepted just expect a the seller call in 2 working days. after 5 days I called them they told the same. then 10 days later I called Customer Service 20 Nov: they assured to remit my money back this Friday 22 NOV. Yet I haven't gotten the money.
What is wrong with Amazon. This is very strange.

Unacceptable service by Amazon. I bought 4 items including a TV based on the 11.11 sale, 20% discount (all items), & free tv installation combination offer. Unfortunately they only honored the 11.11 sale claiming there was a cap on the 20% and ignoring the installation. Why advertise these discounts and services and apply hidden terms that negate the sale? I have been a customer for 25 years and find this unprofessional and unacceptable. When I called Amazon, both managers Mahmoud and Shorouq made no effort to address my issues. Such a shame.
Amazon SA is great!
I am super impressed with Amazon SA's prices, service and turnaround time. I have used them a number of times now and they've been excellent every time.
Prices are generally better than Takealot and they seem to have much more stock readily available. Delivery is free at the moment, which I realize is promotional, but also handy. They have a wonderful variety as well.
I imported books from the US twice and both times the books came in record time and perfect condition.
The one thing I would like to see change is that SA has limited access to international Amazon products. I think everyone was quite excited expecting access to global products, but this has not been the case. It would be great if we could source international Amazon products through Amazon SA, even at an increased lead time.
Overall, very happy.
My Experience with Amazon: A Disappointing Journey
I would like to share my recent experience with Amazon that has left me deeply frustrated and disappointed.
On September 27, 2024, I placed an order for the Philips coffee machine, model 5400, through Amazon Saudi Arabia and will be shipped from Amazon Germany internationally as stated on the amazon Saudi. The product was listed with an expected delivery date between October 8 and October 11. However, just three days after placing my order, I received an email stating that the delivery date was unknown, and I would receive further updates. Eventually, the expected delivery was pushed back to November 13.
On October 8, I contacted customer service, where a representative assured me that my case would be handled personally, and I would be compensated with a local product, with Amazon covering the price difference. Unfortunately, that was the last I heard from that representative.
After several follow-ups, on October 13, another agent informed me that my shipment was stuck with DHL in Germany for customs clearance. I was told that the tracking information was only visible to customer service agents and would be updated soon.
On October 20, I spoke with a customer service manager named Lama, who shockingly stated that the shipment was unavailable and that I could only cancel my order for a minimal compensation of 70 SAR. I expressed my desire to wait for the expected arrival date of November 13, as I had been eagerly anticipating this product.
To my disbelief, the following day, I received an email canceling my order and refunding my payment without any prior notification or consent. This cancellation was done without my agreement, and I find it unacceptable that a reputable company like Amazon would fail to honor a confirmed order.
Moreover, my funds were held for nearly a month without any benefit, and I believe that a company of Amazon's stature should not struggle to fulfill an order that was readily available. This contradicts the information provided by customer service representatives.
Finally, customer services contacted me and show thier sincere apology for my experience and offered me 100SAR as a compensation.
Bad experience
Ordered a Samsonite Carryon Luggage noting seller was Amazon.sa. placed order on Sunday with delivery on Wednesday (and i had to travel following day). On the date of delivery get a message that delievry rescheduled to 4 days later.....i noted that the item had not been dispatched, likely they never had the inventory and marketing it....i cancelled it. Bad experience.
Varity of items on wrbsite isnt suffient for my needs
