Purchased 2 items online wrongly put collection store so rang them and asked if I could changed store for collection but very unhelpful. Saying I would have to cancel items wait 5 days for refund only wanted store changing. Mad part is they had them in stock. Poor customer service
Horrendous experience. Avoid like the plague
I received info to suggest my password had been in a data leak so I then tried to reset it. The email link never arrived in my email box (any of them, spam etc) so I was hugely concerned and set out to contact Argos 🤣 it seems there’s more chance in speaking to Lord Lucan than anyone at Argos so had to settle for a web chat. After being messed around with AI I got through to someone who said they would escalate my concerns and I’d be contacted within 48 hours. A week later nothing but tumble weed! Again I was forced through the time consuming and irritating process again, to be told again it will be escalated! I expressed my concern that my account had been compromised for over a week now. I have still heard nothing. How can this be allowed!!!!!
Awful delivery service!
Awful delivery service!!
Ordered £250 chest of drawers at the beginning of August to be delivered 3 weeks later at the end of August. On the day of delivery, I took a day of annual leave from work to be in for the delivery. Our time slot was sent to us the day before saying 2-4pm. Come 5pm, still no drawers.
We spent ages on the phone to them (turns out the driver just cancelled the order and we had no idea) and was offered a new delivery date a further THREE WEEKS AWAY, bear in mind we had already sold our old chest of drawers so our clothes are just living on the floor (granted that’s not Argos’s fault but when you make a purchase you expect to receive your item when promised!!).
We begrudgingly accepted our new delivery date, being texted a 2 hour slot from 2-4pm again. Once again, 5pm rolls around and still nothing a delivered.
Called them and was told it would be delivered between 7-8pm due to issues with a van breaking down. It was a Friday night!! We cancelled our plans to stay in for the delivery…
8pm came and still NOTHING! No communication or anything. I called them AGAIN to be told this time that the delivery had been cancelled due to staffing issues. Why are the excuses different each time?? Why is there no communication to their PAYING customers??
We are still without our chest of drawers nearly 6 weeks later, and have been offered a different delivery slot another 3 weeks from now, which is just not good enough and I don’t trust that it will be delivered. We have been offered free delivery (yay for me!!) and a £20 gift card to spend in Argos on a product that will probably never be delivered anyway.
Absolutely awful experience and I can see from everyone else’s reviews that this is apparently just normal for Argos. Having wasted time, money, 2 days of annual leave plus our date night and STILL no chest of drawers, I can absolutely say that I will be telling people to stay away from this disgraceful service. Something needs to change!!!

Ordered Sunday afternoon…Deliver scheduled for Monday between 2 - 9…needless to say didn’t turn up no explanation until Tuesday morning ….telling me delivery between 6 - 8….unbelievable….i expected it to be delivered Tuesday MORNING

Don’t bother using the delivery service they will have you waiting about all day just to be let down. Awful service.
Delivery never happened
Shocking to think this is a company owned by Sainsbury's. Delivery supposed to arrive on a Monday, marked as delivered, nothing had arrived. Contacted online support who said it was a fault with their system.
Rearranged delivery for next day. The delivery again failed to arrive in the 7am to 2pm slot, so I called Argos and they said it could be rearranged for another day... No thank you, refund please.
30 minutes later the van arrived and package was fine but experience of delivery was awful.
I feel sorry for the poor people on the end of the phone dealing with the delivery fallout of customers. Don't give a date/time slot if you can't make it.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs – worst customer service I’ve experienced
I ordered a dinner set and several plates and bowls arrived broken. A replacement was sent, but again items arrived damaged.
I asked twice via live chat for a manager to call me – this never happened. I emailed customer service and chased multiple times, but never received a reply. No apology, no ownership, no follow-up.
I was offered a £28 refund + postage, yet over 2 weeks later nothing had been processed. When I contacted them again, there was no record of my complaint, and the agent then only offered me £10 – insulting given the situation.
I was also told there is no formal complaints process, which is shocking for a company of this size. Having now seen the poor Trustpilot reviews, it’s clear my experience isn’t unusual.
Terrible communication, no accountability, and appalling customer service. I’ll be escalating this.

Extremely poor service and a fulfillment failure after waiting for over a month for my online order that has had 4 failed deliveries. I have had to chase for updated communication and fobbed off each time. I have wasted my time waiting home and booked time off work on one of the occasions to not receive the item I have purchased upfront. Does your CEO, Alexander Ulichnowski, care? I doubt it.

website stated 2 days for delivery so expected it today.i also got a message from argos stating its thursday.
i get a message today from appliances direct saying there friday. i then get a message from argos stating delivery is now monday !!!
i called and used the automated line to cancel my order to be told i cant cancel at this point in time
seriously what a joke
Scam at this point.
Don't know if you've all noticed but something is very wrong with Argos. Trustpilot is the only website with proper reviews, everywhere else are fake or old 5 star reviews. 3 times in a row ive bought an item and immediately been told the order is cancelled, I mean not even a millisecond after paying... but it conveniently takes Argos up to 7 days to give me my money back. THREE times i've given them up to £200 to look after for 7 days, and at the end of it I am refunded with no item. They just keep my money for a week I guess... absolutely cheeky as anything. They are clearly selling stock they do not have, on purpose, so they can operate on this cash flow system of borrowed money from customers. Awful company. Shut down, stop bloody selling stock you don't have. You are PURPOSEFULLY exploiting the automated refund system that kicks in when someone buys stock that isnt available. STOP IT.
Bad shop
Bought a product from Argos, they bought from the supplier , item was electoral faulty and told it was could be dangerous lose wire or something could get electrocuted . They wanted me to phone the manufacture and see if they could find out the problem on the phone . And I needed to turn item on and do certain thing . And maybe get a shock .
The item was 30 days old and some hours .
Told them
About my health condition why I did not run sooner but did not care .
Beware Argos don’t care and won’t refund and ask you to risk your life trying to resolve
great customer service
Thanks to Jonathan Lawrence for the process of the refund .appreciate it !!
Argos useless Yodel shambolic …
Never again been nightmare as they use yodel for deliveries no option to collect in store £1100 laptop ! Yodel once again the clowns of logistics failed to deliver had day off work to receive too ! Spoke to customer services at Argos they refused to deliver to a different address as by now im working away again so cancelled order was disastrous from start to finish ! Yodel are worse and they continue to use them ! Shambolic
Customer service scores a big fat zero
I contacted Argos via their online chat, seeking a replacement electric lead for an item. The automatically served up questions did not match the scenario I was trying to address and when finally connected to a live agent, they simply did not ask me any questions and told me there was no support available for my item. The reason this is appalling customer service is that there was no attempt to understand the issue and no effort to provide any real help at all. I am left with an item worth £450 which is unusable after just over a year. I was told to get an independent survey and send it to them, when all I needed was an electric cable. Long story short, if you're going to spend serious money I would never spend it with Argos. If you are going to do so, go into it with your eyes open as there is no decent customer support post-sale.
Awful
Awful
Purchased a dishwasher. I paid extra for a 4 hour slot on a day off a week in advance
No email with the 2 hour window as promised only an SMS 1 hour before the delivery time saying it had been refunded without explanation
I spent ages on the phone getting repeatedly cut off only to eventually get told it was a stock issue
I asked to speak to a manager and was left waiting for 20 mins only to be told none were available
I was then told I would be phoned back in 4 hours. This never happened
The item is still available to purchase online despite Argos knowing they have stock issues.
Miller & Carter
Purchased a Miller & Carter gift card and had to wait a week after payment to receive it by email, had to chase it up not good enough.
Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful customer service. My elderly parents ordered a Bush tumble dryer in December, they placed the order over the phone and someone was able to collect for them. Item became faulty after 7 months, Bush came out and informed them the parts were no longer available and a replacement would be needed. We then spoke to Argos on behalf of my parents, they informed us they could offer a replacement but my parents would have to take the old appliance across town back to Sainsbury's and pick a new one up. We explained they are elderly, Dad has dementia, they have no transport, I don't drive and the person who collected the original dryer is no longer here. The woman was incredibly rude, said this was the only option unless my parents wanted to pay for a courier to collect the old appliance. She also told us 'if it was a member of her family, she would do whatever she could to take it back!'
I then phoned Bush, they said it was Argos's issue not theirs. Spoke to Argos again, they said even if they arranged a Yodel collection it would be refused at the door as it was too big! I was told there was no phone number for head office and had to email customer enquiries at Sainsbury's to try to get a resolve. My elderly parents are now stuck with a broken appliance, paid for, that they can no longer use and we're still waiting on an answer. Will not be ordering anything like this again from Argos, absolutely shocking customer service.
