Never buying from the shop again
Never buying from the shop again. I just wasted so much time trying to find out how to return my microwave that is shredding a seal inside. I just needed to know if the service (where I need a professional to write that it is a product fault, not me using it incorrectly) is free and Juhi did not want to tell me due to the security process first. With Currys, there are some delays but I never left unhappy.
Awful customer service
I have never in my life had someone on the chat helpline be so rude. Usually I have never had an issue with Argos but today they delivered me someone else’s item. When I went on the chat helpline I gave them all the details of what my order was and what I had received all the details of the person who’s item had wrongly been delivered to mine and I couldn’t believe the attitude of their assistant who came online from the chat box I was so shocked. He/she was so rude I told her to forget the whole thing keep my money and forget it. I think next time il definitely forget orders from Argos because I know now that if anything goes wrong the customer service was so bad it’s put me off. The person behind the screen even asked me if I was simple! Disgusting behaviour you might not like your job but that’s not my issue. I hope Argos reads this and sorts their customer service staff out on the chat box line
There essentially is no customer…
There essentially is no customer service. Personally I’ll never buy from Argos again.
You ask for chat transcript(twice), doesn’t happen, you ask for management to call you back (twice), doesn’t happen, you ask for help, doesn’t happen. Two out of three store managers told me things that directly contradicted what’s on the Argos website, they will not accept faulty returns, yet any customer service I contacted refuses to help and sends me to store. Chat especially, they’ll waste your time, ask what’s up (knowing I ordered in store) then proceed to tell you they’re only able to help with delivered orders, what a infuriating waste of time(!!!) so if you ordered in store, well… good luck… trying to resolve my issue took a week and it was an insane marry go around, so see who will they send me to next, who will I need to chase next, will I find anyone willing and able to help me…
Website description of the items are less than poor, so if you choose to order anyways, make sure you do proper research about the item.
Items ordered didnt arrive for collection
Ordered bedding to collect from chislehurst sainsburys. Didn't arrive and Sainsbury's staff extremely rude about it. Can't cancel order till it arrives as it's just classed as missing until delivered to Sainsbury's. Won't be using Argos anymore. Safe to say, Argos have collapsed and comes with risks of not receiving your item. Only platforms they use to contact them are twitter and Facebook, neither of which i have. Having delivered to Sainsbury's is twice the stress as customer service there is appalling.
Terrible customer service
Ordered 8 items. Then sent 1. Now in dispute with them about the other 7 items. We have video proof only 1 thing was delivered. The customer service is non existent and when you do speak to someone they don't help. They told me to raise it with payment provider so PayPal are now investigating. £85 worth of Christmas presents lost!
Argos supplied a used printer
Collected a printer from them, when I opened the box it was obvious that it had been used before, IT WAS 2nd HAND!
The inks were not full, but Argos customer service didn’t seem to be bothered and just told me to return it.
Terrible attitude after they sold me a used product!!
Ordered a mattress
Ordered a mattress. Delivery slot on a Sunday 11-1pm. Turned down a lunch invitation. Man with a van & tip slot booked to take old mattress. Message at 2.30pm to say delivery cancelled! No explanation. Contacted customer services Monday. Earliest redelivery slot 2 weeks later. I asked if old mattress could be taken away for the inconvenience caused. Yes was the reply. Delivery men had no paperwork on the day to say they were taking old mattress and were really rather rude! Mattress still here waiting for man with the van to collect when passing! Have wrote an email saying how displeased I am…….not even the decency to respond and apologise! How do these companies stay in business? Regards Nicky
Incompetent and uncaring.
Ordered a product. They cancelled it without reason. Customer Service had no idea whatsoever as to why it was cancelled and explanation was simply order it again and see what happens.
So if you want something, but are not bothered if you get it or not, and you are not bothered about customer service then this is the company for you.
If give them no stars if it was possible.
rudeness and incompetence
they delivered on wrong day. twice. 2 items instead of six with rude driver and no explanationation. i stated i do not want t see the driver again while complaining. and specified delivery day. all this was ignored and the same rude driver turned at my door on the wrong day and laughed in my face while humiliating me. i refused the items as i am not going to insulted in my own home. called argos 3 times. twice the call didn't go through as their ai is beyond bad. 3 time call disconnected half way through. as it was impossible to get argos on the phone, i turned to live chat. and learned that the items were returned and refunded. so this is the summary:
1. i was insulted twice
2. two days of my life were wasted
3. i lost promotional savings on items
4. i was completely ignored by argos
5. part of shopping was on gift card so now i am forced to use company i despise again
6. i was humiliated by person who was rude to me with assistance of the company who made money out me
i very much advice anyone to never use argos . unless of course they yearn to be humiliated, ignored and dismissed
ARGOS
Since a change in management everything has in my view got much worse
Absolutely furious
Absolutely furious, if I could swear in this I would.
Yesterday my delivery was suppose to come so I was up from 6am as it was suppose to come between 7-11 and it never did..that was just the one part of my order as they separated it.
Today I had a phone call at half 6 this morning to say they’ll be with me in 20 minutes baring in mind they are suppose to ring you “1 hour before delivery” so I had to rush and get up, get my 1 year old up and get to the house I’m having it delivered too as I’m moving in there and they still never turned up!
I rang the number they rang me on and the lady goes “wrong driver” I said no mate this is the number you rang me on, I asked where the order was and he stated it wasn’t on that van and to ring Argos.
Now Argos told me I had to wait till 6pm baring in mind I paid for a certain time slot 7-2 for a reason!
Im so angry right now.
The call handler telling me for the inconvenience Ill give you a refund on your delivery which I couldn’t care less about, I told her I wanted to put in a further complaint because why are the drivers ringing people at 630am getting them up for no reason.
Absolutely awful experience with Argos
Absolutely awful experience with Argos. I placed an order expecting quick delivery, but the date kept changing with no explanation. After waiting around and wasting my time, I finally cancelled the order out of frustration — but even that turned into a hassle.
They confirmed my cancellation, yet the payment was still taken and I had to chase it up multiple times. Customer service was no help at all — just scripted responses and no real action. It’s ridiculous that such a big company can’t handle basic delivery and refunds properly.
I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Argos used to be reliable, but this experience was an absolute joke.
I recommend anyone to never shop from…
I recommend anyone to never shop from Argos. Take this for example for certain items such as anything electric such as a tablet or e_reader. This is what they state regarding the conditions of returning for a refund .'If you’ve changed your mind
If you've changed your mind and need to return an item, you have 30 days from the date of collection or from the date of delivery to return your item(s).
Your item needs to be:
Unused and with all original components
In its original packaging (with the tags if applicable)
In a re-saleable condition and security seals intact (where applicable)
regardless of your statutory rights for purchasing an item on line when your legal rights stipulate you have a cooling off period of 14 days to return this item. What this means is if you open the item you are stuffed. Why can't they just say 'if the item has been opened'. This is not my opinion, this is my experience with Argos.
Secondly returning an item which has not been opened whilst ordered online. Call live chat to arrange this. It's taken me weeks talking to them via online chat to arrange a collection and being told when this will be collected, when I will receive a call back to tell me why this hasn't happened after calling again to ask why didn't i receive e-mail conformation of the collection and finally yesterday being told there is no record of a collection ever being made after weeks of speaking to them. I was eventually told as stipulated on the web page I can return this to the store for a refund. Because I've never had any faith in getting an item returned by taking it to the store I discovered this morning I was correct because they refused to take it. Calling customer service this time I was given an address I could return it to instead , the last written part of the return address is EWL RETURNS VGS. No post code so the post office could not give me the proof of return. I will have lost out if they tell me next they have not received this return. For a well know store which has been around for decades this is completely the wrong way to operate
Unbelievably rude staff and customer service
I purchased an iron and collected from my local store. The product turned out to be unsuitable as it was too heavy for my wife. I returned the product in original packaging 2 hours after collecting and was told by an unbelievablely rude staff member that I couldn’t return it as it had been used. The item was definitely a previously return item as it had water in it and there were no instructions or warning info. The Argos staff said I’d used it and refused to accept it. After a very heated discussion she finally approved the return. The staff actually wear body cameras. It’s no wonder when they’re trained to treat customers in this manner. I will definitely NOT be using Argos again. Unbelievable!
Ordered a sofa in a box from Argos
Ordered a sofa in a box from Argos, £250. Waited in for the whole of the 7 hour delivery slot (2-9pm), the sofa didnt arrive. No one to contact at this time of night so had to wait until the next morning. The Customer Advisor was very vauge and told me there must have been a problem at the warehouse, (if this is so why wasnt i contacted and made aware??), said I should cancel this order and reorder and this delivery would be in 2 days...bearing in mind the old sofa had been disposed of ready for the new one so spent the weekend sitting on cushions on the floor. Order number 2 arrived clearly stating GREY mina sofa in box. Opened boxes and inside was a beige sofa! Had to return the sofa due to the wrong colour so there i was left with nothing due to Argos and their incompetence and another wait indoors for the next person to call to take the sofa away again ! Argos emailed me asking for a review, posted them the more or less same review and this one and they had the nerve to reject this review saying it doesnt meet with their guidelines and asking me to send them another review with positive helpful info but of course i havent done this because im not a liar !
Delayed game release
I'd give it 0.out of 10 useless services bought battlefield 6 pre ordered and didn't receive it it on day release a f... joke!!!!! Paid for months in advance Hope you go bust paid on advanst and didn't get it and still waiting for it your a waist of my time im. Leaving your services
Argos are useless
Gift cards don’t work, been trying for a month. Tried calling, need an order number, tried the chat and they advised to call and give the order number I don’t have as the gift card doesn’t work to make the order, told to email, received a reply to say Argos dont communicate via emails, went in store and told to phone. Worst customer service, none of the staff care you just end up stuck in a loop of utter insanity for coming up to a month with no pragmatism or resolution in sight. AVOID!
Terrible experience online and with…
Terrible experience online and with collection.
I ordered an Apple Watch that said “order now, collect right away”. I placed the order on the Saturday and on Sunday morning went to collect. Only for the store to have no recollection of my order. I was told the “system went down” after I ordered and it would be a ghost transaction and I would be refunded. I called my credit card company to learn that the order had in fact gone through and to contact Argos.
I contacted Argos to be told “they were awaiting shipment” of the item from their warehouse, even though the items were in stock at that particular store. I was told it would be shipped from the warehouse and I could collect later that day. It never arrived.
I contacted them the next day and was told they were awaiting a shipment from their supplier, and that they were “delayed”. Even though the items were still in stock.
On the 4th day I contacted them again to be told they cannot find my item, but I will get an email when the item was ready for collection.
I’ve now cancelled the order and will go strait to Apple. It would have been quicker for me to walk 20 miles with heart failure to get the damn thing.
Had a terrible experience with argos…
Had a terrible experience with argos yesterday, due to a drivers discretion he decided he couldn't deliver my tumble dryer, argos were just wanting yo rearrange without clear explanation. No blockage in street cars were moving in and out. The driver also called saying he was 20 mins away. Very disappointed, had a refund, then used a different company and had a product in my hallway by lunchtime. No blockage in street, and apparently its down to a driver who works for argos to decide whether you have yr item or not. Poor customer service argos it lost you a sale.
Ordered a TV monitor for collection
Ordered a TV monitor for collection, been waiting for several hours, I went to the store to collect but there is no item, got email saying order has been cancelled and when I got home(5.40pm) I got email saying it's ready for collection after the store closed (5.30pm) . I don't know how they expecting me to collect when the store is closed. Same day delivery is a joke.
