I didn't want the cheapest insurer; Aviva is a well-known quality insurer. The quote for my car insurance was better than my existing company by a good margin with the same level of cover. I feel comf... See more

Horrific customer service
Horrific customer service.
I have tried to move my workplace pension from them and all they ever send is email after email asking me for my change of address and I have sent the forms over 15 times and then I just get ignored.

Ease of use of App
Very good experience
Great Experience
Bought my car insurance through an on-line website, everything was easy to follow and set up, saved me money and got better cover, what's not to like!!!
So easy to use
Faultless
Fairly easy to navigate through from start to finish. Everything explained clearly. So far I've not been able to fault anything.
The insurance that I was offered was…
The insurance that I was offered was well explained and the prices were economical. all the different parts of the insurance were well explained.
Straightforward process for what can be a worrying task
I managed to navigate the online experience. Other companies I tried were opaque in what they were questioning but Aviva seemed quite straightforward
Home Insurance …
I found using Aviva for my home insurance very easy . The process of changing insurance company was carried out without any problems.
Empathy was good

Renewing with Aviva is a nightmare
Renewing with Aviva is a nightmare. Their website is a total mess and you have to check everything several times for double negatives which must be deliberate. Although I was already with them I found that by switching policy level via a comparison website this saved a bit but this did not seem available directly with them! This is ridiculous. The comparison website link also broke down and I had to do it all over again checking for all the same problems and even then it seemed to reverse my town and county on one screen but you are terrified to change anything in case it all breaks down again. It also doesn't seem to remember all your details even when you used them for the previous year but are only making one change i.e. the policy level which excluded breakdown assistance. You do feel that dealing with insurance companies is like dealing with the CIA and even when doing a simple thing it takes many hours to accomplish. This has to be made more user friendly and helpful for honest people with fewer things that seem like attempts to catch you out and just charge you more. Aviva are not alone in this but you'd think that being a a large company their website and system would be easier to use.

Good prices for us older drivers
Whilst appreciating the prices for us older drivers the problems come when phoning in to try and resolve hitches. The usual long wait, staff whose first language is not English. Whilst I could not in all probability speak their home language it makes it difficult for some of us older clients to get across our technical hitches. Whilst the young woman I spoke to said she understood she obviously didn't and sent me something entirely different. I didn't fair any better with the online help and support team where I was cut off twice. My technical hitch was perhaps unusual and was one of those caused by home phones now going digital and perhaps new because of this.
All straight forward
All straight forward , I knew Aviva was a top company as I have another financial arrangement with them . The process was all very simple and easy to follow, I cancelled from another company and signed up with Aviva in the afternoon.
So far so good

I’ll wait to see how long it takes for documents to arrive, fairly good price too.
