Our records indicate you placed your order on 01/16/2018 and chose standard shipping for the order. The order was shipped ou ton 01/17/2018 via Standard shipping which generally take 7-10 business days to be delivered. Our records indicate the order was delivered today (01/24/2018) which was within the estimated time frame for delivery.

I was charged twice

I was charged twice, at we having the money taken our if my account my order was canceled due the to book not being in stock.

Unfortunately the billing address entered, did NOT match what your financial institution had on file for us to verify as the correct address. Because the billing address could not be verified, the transaction was declined. After we decline a transaction, we cannot modify it. The "charge" appearing on your card is called a pending hold. Pending holds come about because banks and credit card companies hold funds for online transactions while they verify information in order to determine whether or not to approve the transaction.

I was waiting for my textbook to arrive …

I was waiting for my textbook to arrive and when I hadn't heard anything in over a week I checked the status of my order. My order had been cancelled ( not by me ) and I had no notification whatsoever. I will NOT be using Bookbyte again...

I ordered a book listed on your website and got an email a couple days later saying the order was cancelled. You shouldn't list products for sale if you don't actually have them.

You did not cancel my order for a book that wasn't shipped and proceed to charge me anyway

The same day I ordered to buy a textbook, I realized I had to drop the class. I immediately contacted a representative from Bookbyte to cancel the order, since my credit card payment was processed. I was told that I would have to return the book (even though it was not shipped from the warehouse yet!) back for a refund. A partial refund that would get deducted for shipping and handling costs, when the book was still at the warehouse and could have not been shipped if there was transparency and accountability between the sellers and costumers. Poor service.

-Log in to your account
-Click Return This Item next to the book/order you wish to return
-Choose your return reason on the return pop up window
-Click Print Shipping Label to download your prepaid return label

We will issue a refund back to your original payment method as soon as possible after the return is received and inspected. Please be sure to use the prepaid label provided in your account to ship the return from any FedEx office or post office. If our label is not used, this may delay processing for 6 weeks or more.

Didn’t receive my book because I couldn’t change the shipping address even though the confirmation email said I would be able to change details before it shipped. I was told to send the book back, I tried to explain I couldn’t because I didn’t live at that house anymore due to not being at that college anymore

Wanted a book ended up with an e access card.

I had spent time trying to find my book. Then I thought I had found it but, when it arrived it was a e access card. I can't return because I just started my class. I had trouble loading it because the website said it was having trouble accepting new access members. A few hours later it finally accepted my card.

I will never order from this site …

I will never order from this site again! I ordered a new book in excellent condition and received a USED BOOK THAT WAS IN HORRIBLE CONDITION!!!! The book was way passed poor condition and then they informed me I could keep it for a 10% discount WHAT THE ? This book was horrible! AND NOW... I do not have the book for my class and am out the money until they get the book back and get around to refunding my money. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

This is the second time I have had …

This is the second time I have had issues with Bookbyte. The first issue was when I sold them a complete set of books for the GMAT test. They were quite expensive and all of the books, except one, still had the codes in tact. I boxed them up securely but was told that they received a box that was open and no books were in them so I was out about $200 that time. I just sent a textbook to sell them that I had purchased from valorebooks.com. On their website it said my book was damaged which I new was not true so I contacted them to get the book back. They are now telling me that it is an unauthentic book and won't send it back. I am wondering if they are scamming people to just keep their books and resale them. I will never buy or sell from them again and will tell everyone I know to do the same.

I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. Our Buyback team has inspected your book and found it to be an inauthentic copy. They are investigating the issue however we are unable to return the book since it's an inauthentic copy and should not be in circulation.

"Upon receipt of a shipped package into Bookbyte’s warehouse, ownership of the contents of the shipment transfer completely and wholly to Bookbyte. Upon receiving books, our Buyback team first checks the ISBN on the book to ensure that it's the same as the ISBN on the order. Then they check the condition of the book. When checking the condition of the book, they also check for book authenticity. Because of the rising costs of textbooks, there are currently many scams/companies that print and sell illegal copies of textbooks. Some indicators that books are inauthentic are:


-Poor binding
-Different/lower page quality
-Printing quality
-Printing dimensions
-Front and back cover art distorted/mis-aligned


If we find these indicators, we then compare it to an authentic copy of the book and if it doesn't match then that is when it's flagged as an inauthentic copy. Per our Buyback policy, "Bookbyte reserves the right to inquire how items were originally acquired and request proof of ownership. While under investigation, payment may be delayed or withheld. Any items submitted to Bookbyte that are determined to be illegally obtained or printed will be surrendered to the proper authorities (i.e., law enforcement, publishers, or retailers)."

Again, I would advise that you contact the company you ordered this from and advise them of the issue as they will need to reimburse you for the book. If you have other questions, please contact customer service directly via email.

Never got my book

I ordered a textbook for my nursing program and after a week it still hadn't even shipped. I contacted the company to find out what happened... The response was that there was a "system error" and the order was unable to be fulfilled. I got a refund and a 10% discount for my next order... But I needed that textbook! Very frustrating that I was not given any information until I inquired about why the order hadn't shipped yet. Frankly no discount would cause me to order from this site again, but even so, 10% off is sort of insulting given that they made a pretty big error.

I ordered a textbook on January 2

I ordered a textbook on January 2, 2018 and also paid extra for expedited shipping so the textbook would be here for the first week of classes. According to expedited shipping the order was to take 2-3 days to deliver. Also, warehouse located in KY and I live in Indiana. I went to my Bookbyte account on Jan.9 to see where this textbook was and found out my order had been cancelled. No explanation, no email sent to inform me, and as of yet no refund. Am now scrambling to find this same textbook elsewhere after the first week of classes. Will NEVER do business with Bookbyte again.
