Being able to build new lego sets every month had been so fun! We love lego, but wouldn't be able to afford a new set all the time, or be able to display the finished pieces so this really fills that... See more

For years, I used to wish there was some kind of Lego library for my Lego obsessed son, who would go through kits quick as a flash. Suddenly, Brick Borrow appeared on my Instagram feeds and I was sold. This is exactly what you need in your life if you have Lego fans - you have access to an incredible range of kits, you can enjoy them, and then send them back so you don’t need to worry about where to store them. It’s a small, individual business which makes it even more special. The guys there always reply promptly if I have any questions and they are always so helpful. I would highly recommend. We are a year in and we’ve got more than our moneys worth. Thank you Brick Borrow!

We discovered Brick Borrow about 12 months ago, they allow our son to build LEGO without the stress of where to store it in his bedroom and the cost of buying new sets. The only problem he found was deciding on what set he wanted to build as they have a vast amount to choose from. The team at Brick Borrow have always been friendly and very quick at resolving any issue that may have occurred. I would 100% recommend

Signed up to this after a friend told me about it. It’s a great way if you love building Lego but don’t want to pay the full prices of the sets or have the place to store them all.
The first three months you are limited to smaller sets but I presume it’s so they can build your trust- excuse the pun!
The only downfall I would say is that you’re not able to see what sets are available whilst you currently have a set out. Sometimes when I’ve returned a set I struggle to find something I’m really interested in straight away, as they’re all out. I have found the odd occasional small piece missing from sets, which is only a little bit frustrating as I spend ages looking for it to it definitely not being there. But if you just email them what pieces are missing, this shouldn’t happen for the next person!
Overall, I would continue to keep getting sets from here as it’s such a fun, affordable way of building Lego as a hobby :)

Previously done a great review for brickburrow and ironically my next order was the worst
Missing pieces near the end. Not once but twice in my build , done what was asked and let brick burrow know , and wasn’t given the option to get spares sent out like advertised and not heard since , will sadly be ending my subscription after this month . Sad

I love Lego and it's quite expensive for the big sets . After a bit of research I found brick borrow. Over a year later I've saved thousands of pounds . Borrowing sets that I would not normally of bought due to size and price. I've been fortunate to borrow and build . It's a brilliant company and would recommend it to any Lego lovers

Brick Borrow is incredible - our two boys get to choose and build new Lego sets then send them back and get new ones. It’s a never ending carousel of bricks!
What takes it from an amazing idea to being truly brilliant is the customer service - if there’s a piece missing, they’ll send a new one within days.
It’s genuinely excellent and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

This is an amazing platform for someone who loves legos but cannot keep buying. Or cannot store it. I came across this on Fb and I am so glad I subscribed. Its only been a month and I am already on my 3rd lego set. I get to build all my favourites without burning a hole in pocket. Its so easy.

My 2nd box with brick borrow & my little boy is so happy with it ☺️ Sets can get so expensive & having the option to offer him the big sets at a small cost has been amazing!

Joined at Christmas and had two consecutive sets with pieces missing. I appreciate this can happen but waiting for the missing pieces and no other compensation for this is a deal breaker for me. Plus the choice of sets was disappointing as all the ones she likes (when we finally get the window to choose) are currently already being borrowed. My daughter has been completely put off Lego. Would not recommend.

What a fantastic idea, being able to experience Lego without all the hassle of spending so much money. A long time ago I would look at a set I want and just dream of having it, but now brick borrow makes that dream come true and I love it. I’ve already made a list of sets I want to build and thanks to this amazing company I can finally take those builds on. Your not just making me happy but your making dreams of small and big kids come true thank you brick borrow 😊

Really enjoy being able to build some extraordinary sets which I wouldn’t be able to buy every time. Keeps my son busy. Service has been fantastic. We really look forward to building every time. The plus side is not having them take up space and gathering dust! Much more affordable this way too! Highly recommend the service.

Fantastic concept, but left feeling frustrated by a few things:
i) Additional £4.95 shipping cost per order. On the Plans & Pricing page "Shipping (2-3 Days)" is listed under each plan with a tick against it, suggesting shipping is very much included. That's quite misleading, there's no mention of an additional charge on that page. It's only if you refer to the FAQs or T&Cs that shippings costs are made clear (or, in my case, at checkout when you borrow for the first time).
ii) Turnaround times. Again, to suggest borrows are "unlimited" is misleading when 8 working days per order are lost to shipping and processing (2 days to pack and dispatch + 2 days for Royal Mail to ship to the customer + 2 days to return to brick borrow via Royal Mail + 2 days to process the return). That's an eternity in this day and age. There are typically only 20-22 working days in a month, so in practical terms you're looking at 2 orders per month max. Very frustrating if you expected things to move quicker when signing up, even more so if I'm paying extra for shipping.
iii) Availability of sets. Others have mentioned this, so I won't dwell on it. It's also frustrating you can't even browse the "Pick Your Sets" pages when you already have sets at home/in transit/being processed.
A premium membership tier involving quicker turnaround times/next day delivery/priority availability would be most welcome.

The idea behind Brick Borrow is great - being able to build expensive LEGO sets without having to buy and store them is a really appealing concept. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to a lack of transparency before signing up.
A few key details only became clear after subscribing. There is a £4.95 delivery charge per set (which does include a return label). That’s not unreasonable, but it wasn’t obvious before committing to a plan.
More importantly, many of the sets people are likely signing up for - particularly larger Harry Potter and Star Wars sets were either already borrowed or locked behind a three-month membership requirement. There’s no clear indication of these restrictions before you pay, which felt misleading.
After subscribing, I quickly realised that most of the sets available to me were smaller, low piece-count builds, which didn’t really feel worth renting when they could be purchased fairly cheaply.
I ended up cancelling the same day. Another frustration is that cancellation requires emailing support, and the response felt like a generic template. It didn’t seem like they recognised that I had joined and left within a day, which would seem like useful feedback for them - or they get it a lot.
Overall, the concept is excellent, but the service would benefit from much clearer upfront information about delivery costs, set availability, and membership restrictions.

We love Brick Borrow! Having grown up with Lego but now living in a small flat Brick Borrow is perfect. My partner and I have built the Kingfisher, Bosai tree and just ordered the Vespa. The Lego app lets us split the build between us and it’s a great thing to do in the evening. All sets have come without any missing pieces and have been in really good condition. We love being able to build a set together, display it for a few days and then send it back. Would highly recommend.

We have recently signed up for a brick borrow subscription, we opted for the year subscription and find it’s very good value for money.
We love doing Lego as a family so this is a perfect way to build Lego we probably wouldn’t normally buy The actual process is so easy choose your Lego, get it in the post then enjoy building it. The return process is also super easy as everything you need to send it back is provided.
We love brick borrow!

Brick borrow is a subscription company that lends Lego so that you can make kits at home without the expense of buying them. Once you have completed them you take them apart & return them, then choose another kit . The returns are processed in a timely manner.
It's something adults & children can do, and is a very relaxing pastime for me.
It's a great company & always get a friendly response via email.

Good service, very reasonable price. It would be nice if the website let you filter or sort by number of pieces (at least on mobile), but generally very happy with brickborrow.

Great service, loved the set I picked and I got a new set too! What a genius idea, I love that this will scratch my Lego itch without having to spend hundreds of pounds or find somewhere to store them all. Can’t wait to pick my next set!

Was reccomended by a friend to give the service a go, so started with the standard builder package.
Signed up and picked my first set, it arrived within a couple of days. Had great fun putting the disney mini castle together!
The box included everything needed to send back too, i took it apart and posted it back via local RM lockers. Hoping that it will be back with them soon so i can pick me next set quickly!
