Sends penalty after discount period has passed

Pathetic to say the least
Had an accident and took my wife for a medical assessment later that afternoon and parked at a nearby pub. I did go in for a drink and due to still being distressed unfortunately forgot to add my reg number. Submitted an appeal but obviously there is no considerations from this company which is privately owned (confirmed by solicitors) My fine went up from £100 to £170. There is no way to get in touch with them, no contact details and no conscience. Pathetic to say the least and they prey on vulnerabilities, hiding away from facing individuals and the public.
Went to Saundersfoot harbour carpark
Went to Saundersfoot harbour carpark - paid for 1hr via card payment (got proof) but whilst on my walk back needed to pop into the toilet as I have ulcerative colitis and going through a major flare atm! got back to the car expecting a ticket as went 35mins over but no ticket - but got it through today via photo with it saying NO VALID PAYMENT?? through instead- no way to ask a simple question am I being fined for no payment or ?!
if I appeal it’ll get thrown out (as they have ZERO COMPASSION by the looks of it) and my fine will be £100+
Terrible Communication resulting in Debt Collection Agency involvement
Signs at Plymouth Car Park (next to the Aquarium) do not clearly state that payment is required in advance. We realised this on return to the car and paid retrospectively. However on receipt of the fine, we appealed explaining we had indeed paid but after the event. Realise now, we did not pay enough but received no further communication until 6 weeks later when we get a final demand notice. Due to postal issues, we got the letter 3 weeks after the date. We wrote to them again explaining we had appealed and had not heard anything after this, to receive a Debt Collection Agency notice the next day. They read out our appeal decision but this had never been commnicated with us. Therefore, not only did we miss out on the discounted payment window - we also missed the final payment letter resulting in a substantial financial increase.
You can't call their Customer Service and we have only bene granted 10days extra time by the debt team to resolve. TOTAL SHAM

This parking company is an absolute rip off. i got a £60 ticket at my local waitrose because i went over the free morning period. I would be happy to pay a small charge but £60 rising to £100 is day light robbery! These parking companies are ripping off the general public and it shouldn't be allowed
Money Grabbers
Paid for 2 hours. Have a blue badge which was displayed. Fell ill. Asked us to pay £100.

This company is nightmare avoid their parkings. They recently took over carp park at West q retail in Southampton. Poor signs and no clear information about significant changes affecting blue badge users caused me so far 3x£100 parking charge notices. Not escaping of paying for using car park as disabled, but expecting the owner to make clear signs, especially that this car park has always been free for disabled(3h). No signs by disabled spaces, nir at entrance. I am unable to walk around the car park to find new rules, they should be clearly displayed & visible. They request me to pay & i had 2x charge for using car park same day by leaving & entering again within 3 min, photos show faces, people walking along & car reg no of the other car- not following GDPR. I wm now facing either appeal to POPLA or paying them reduced rate for their unfair action. No clear rules from when & how charges apply. This company is killing me. Never avoided paying but if i knew tgey put new rules I would not enter their land, definitely was unaware as 3x fines & more will come. They now put new signs more clear& visible place, scared appealing to pipla as if refused tgen facing £300. So stressful
Biggest scam in the uk is
Biggest scam in the uk is probably this company. A money laundering scam. I had 2 tickets that I displayed within the time frame one was slightly under the other one but you could still see that the time was 15:00 however, they still proceeded to give me a ticket at 14:0. I appealed it and all they did was discount it to £20. So I paid £20 for parking even though I already paid my £2.50 for my ticket. I also have just received another fine saying I failed to pay and the proof images were just me driving in and out the car park! Which they are trying to charge £60 for. This company needs shutting down and reporting.
Faulty cameras at Bromley waitrose
Parked in waitrose Bromley car park while shopping, as I do the same day every week. Later received a fine saying I'd parked in the access road. I appealed and told them I won't pay as I've never parked in the access road. They cancelled the fine but insisted the waitrose cameras were working fine but didn't pick my car up so therefore I did park in the access road but they've cancelled my ticket so I don't need to do anymore however, next time I'll have to do the formal appeal.
I've tried to log a complaint because clearly the cameras are faulty, because they didn't pick my car up but as they've cancelled the fine they're just dismissing me, telling me the matter is closed. How many other people are they wrongly issuing tickets to?
SCUM.
SCUM.
The web address they give you to appeal doesn't work.
How on earth can they get away with that?
Total scammers that don't even deserve…
Total scammers that don't even deserve 1 star - avoid using them at all costs - unaware they charge on entry, returned within my ticket time but because they charged on entry via camera I was 4 minutes over.
I appealed through POPLA and was unsuccessful as they sent a barrage of photos of cameras and signage - set up a payment plan to pay £100 fine and they didn't receive or cash the cheques so it has escalated to bailiffs and CCJs being threatened and the fine going up to £150 when I had paid some of the fine too.
Worst company I have ever dealt with - showed no compassion that I was working and helping patients in a hospital to avoid life threatening falls which took me over by 4 minutes, yes 4 minutes to pay over £150 what a total rip off
The whole experience has left me traumatised and anxious and I will never park there again if I need to work at the Doncaster hospital again.
The worse scammers on earth
The worse scammers on earth. Sent notice to pay while i paid the car park and don't want to hear anything about it.
Typical rogue parking company
Typical rogue parking company. Ticketed because I took a few minutes to pay the parking fee. Wish I'd looked up the reviews before parking.
This is a disgusting company and should…
This is a disgusting company and should be investigated I parked my car at a station car park and walked around looking for a pay point that looked like it was working because the one near my car was clearly out of order I put in my registration number and inserted my bank card the screen then read transaction complete so naturally I assumed I'd paid and then went about my business but two weeks later I received a £60 fine from them for non payment after checking my bank I could see the payment hadn't gone through I appealed to Britania and ask them to check there cctv and they would clearly see me a 77yr old lady using the payment machine as the car park was basically empty they would have clearly seen me but they turned my appeal down and I have been blackmailed into paying £60 or they would double it they are just a bunch of thieves and do not take part in the ombudsman scheme and that's why they are getting away with things like this
This company is unbelievable difficult…
This company is unbelievable difficult to communicate with . They take you everywhere except where you need to be . Its almost like they don't want communicate with you . Rarther just make it hard for you to sort anything out. Just to get the money. Wouldn't mind sent them a cheque for full payment. There contacts on there site are absolutely no use at all.
Parked at Arundel Gate in Sheffield
Parked at Arundel Gate in Sheffield. Returning to my car from the station direction was a nightmare. I went up a filthy staircase with human faeces in more than one place and a stench of urine. I couldn't find any signs. Eventually, I found the pay station and was appalled to find I was being charged £15 for about 2 hours parking in this dump. Then I had to go all the way downstairs again. There was a lift near the pay station, but it wasn't working - no surprise there.
I’m not one for writing reviews…
I’m not one for writing reviews, especially negative ones, but this company demanded calling out.
A lacklustre company with a terrible moral code. From looking into the company and many other people experiences, this company is more focused on spending time collecting money from hapless customers than running a quality parking company with repeat usage. Too much legislation, a lack of clear and easy communication, and no understanding of people concerns.
If you HAVE to park with them, and I’m sure it’s too late if you’re reading this comment, but TAKE PHOTOS and TIMES of any and all transaction when using there car park, because they certainly will to use against you.
Unfortunately I had to pay my ridiculous fine out of fear of further action, but I hope this review can be used as another voice to condemn the ‘cowboy’ company.
No stars would br generous
Could be no stars. Entered park at 09.13. Had difficulty paying. Have parking ticket from 09.17 for three hours. Left before time was up. Need an apology as attending surgery for cancer treatment. By chance parking ticket was retained showing times and reg. number. No case to answer.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers. Parked in Plymouth, went to the machine but out of order so we took the details for the app payment system to put in while we walked. After several attempts of the app failing we finally got through to payment and ‘processing payment’. The app then showed the leaving time a charge so all looked to have gone through… however, the app then showed another error code and the app froze with a continuous spinning icon. We assumed given the page it was on this was an error at the point of being passed from the payment gateway back to the app. Alas, a fine came through but I saved screenshots etc as evidence. Britannia couldn’t give a toss. Makes no difference that I tried repeatedly to pay via machine and the app and to all intents and purposes though we had paid. The only reason it hadn’t gone through was failures with the systems they use. They couldn’t care less, not interested in reasons or appeals they just want your fine money. I will from now make a concerted effort to avoid parking anywhere attached to this companies name.
One star is really too much for…
One star is really too much for Britannia Parking, I have no choice if I have to leave comments!! My car drove in this car park and I went to the pay machine, several attempts but failure to pay, so I drove out at once. I stay there for totally 7 minutes and received the charge of £100. It is obviously a scammer and setting traps to all customer. I fell into traps only because I’m not the citizens nearby. i started to appeal to IAS ( the independent party). Does anyone think it’s useful for such an appeal ?
