The ac unit was delivered quickly but paid for installation and being continually fobbed off .. the installation alone was £1100 . The customer service is US based all they do is put you on hold and feed you lies to get you off the phone … Avoid at all costs .

Disgusting customer service and extended warranty a SHAM
I bought my son a very expensive gaming computer from laptop direct. I have paid buy it direct £6.50 a month since for extended warranty with the promise of a "no questions asked replacement" if something goes wrong.
It took over a week of back and forth calls and emails for them to agree to have the computer collected to check for a "motherboard issue". They had the machine for 14 days and have returned it saying it had no fault. Despite my sending them a video of it and them hearing it over a call. Not only that but the machine has been returned with bent casing and a snapped off front cover. I'm absolutely disgusted. Do not spend your money on their computers and most certainly don't waste your money on an "extended warranty". My autistic son has been so distressed without his computer, was so happy to get it back" working" only to find it more broken and still not working. Shame on you buy it direct!

The matter was only picked up after I…
The matter was only picked up after I escalated directly to the CEO. It was then passed to an Executive Complaints Manager, who acknowledged the failures and apologised, but the whole process still took over five weeks from start to finish. Throughout this period, during the hottest spell of the year so far, we had no working air conditioning with two young children in the house.
Once the correct part finally arrived, I was offered £30 goodwill, later revised to £40 (which simply included a refund of the £10 originally paid for the part). I found this offer insulting given the scale of the failures and the impact on our household. When I asked whether an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution provider could review the case, I was told they are aware of a certified provider but choose not to use them, relying instead on their own internal process, and the complaint was then closed without my agreement.
The correct part did eventually arrive, but the process to get there, and the response once I complained, fell well short of a reasonable standard.

Delivery Restrictions
Appliances only get delivered to the ground and first floor. Also they only have 10 minutes to complete a delivery and take an old appliance .

reconditioned iPhone
Ordered a reconditioned iPhone because it was at least £200 cheaper than buying one new in any other store. I am delighted with the item, it is as good as new. Delivery was very fast – next day and communication was very good. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely appalling customer communication. My order has been held then delayed and finally cancelled, all the time in between I kept getting mixed messages and clarifications about delivery etc. I completely understand if stock runs out, as long as it’s communicated everything is fine, but to reach delivery date (2 weeks later than originally been told) and then be told that it’s out of stock…not great at all

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. My experience with Buy It Direct has been a complete farce, characterised by atrocious customer service, complete incompetence, and a total refusal to take responsibility for their own orders.
I purchased an AC unit scheduled for delivery on July 9th. I was promised a 2-hour delivery window, but was instead slapped with a 10-hour slot with zero tracking updates. I wasted my entire day waiting at home. By 5 PM, with no delivery in sight, I called Buy It Direct.
Their response? > "Not our problem, raise it with DX logistics."
It is completely unacceptable to force your own customer to chase down your chosen courier. My contract is with Buy It Direct, not DX, but they completely washed their hands of me and flat-out refused to contact the logistics provider themselves.
I ended up doing their job for them and called DX. DX investigated and admitted the driver simply missed the delivery. After I spent my Friday and Monday chasing DX again, the courier officially deemed the parcel LOST and explicitly told me they had instructed Buy It Direct to issue a replacement order.
When I called Buy It Direct to finally get my replacement, they refused, claiming they were waiting on a "full investigation" from DX—an investigation that DX had already concluded! After arguing with them, they reluctantly agreed to send a replacement, but their "solution" was deeply insulting. I was told the next available unit wouldn't arrive until mid-August AND they demanded I pay an extra £150 because it was a different model.
Let me get this straight: You lost my item, you failed to fulfill my order, and I am expected to suffer through a heatwave until mid-August and pay £150 extra for your incompetence?
I rightly refused to pay the difference, told them to claim the extra charges back from DX, and demanded either an immediate replacement or a full refund. Their final response? > "No, there is nothing we can do."
Excuse me?! You took my money, lost my item, refused to help me track it, tried to extort me for a more expensive unit to cover your own mess, and then told me there's nothing you can do?
Save yourself the extreme stress, wasted time, and financial headache. Do not buy from this company under any circumstances. Once they have your money, they genuinely do not care about you.
Update they have refunded me but no apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Good service, but one aspect could be improved
I was happy with the delivery and communication throughout. The only thing I wasn’t comfortable with was that the two delivery drivers spoke to each other in a language I couldn’t understand while inside my home. It made me feel a little uneasy, although the delivery itself was completed professionally.

I bought an external door from this…
I bought an external door from this company through B&Q and I certainly wishI hadn’t. The door had to be trimmed before it could be offered up to the frame. It was then found a really bad bow it top corner. My builder did his best to try and fit it but as it had to be locked ( I’m a pensioner who lives alone) he had to force the door shut to lock it. With the bow causing pressure I am now unable to unlock the door. I have wasted the money to buy and fit this rubbish and I’m stuck with a door that I can’t open. They have offered £20 !!! They sell rubbish and then fob you off. Do not buy doors from this firm.
