I've used this site for 3 summers in a row and have been happy with the options and the "worry-free" option. It has always been useful and I was able to fully refund the excess relatively easily.

Overall, I am satisfied with the wide range of options and good prices that I can find there.

This was my first time I used Carrentals for book my rental car and I have today that everything went well and smooth. The web site is very easy to use.
I will definitely use them again when I'll need to book my next car.

CarRentals.co.uk falsely advertised the rental as “In Terminal”. Once paid, it was switched to be a “shuttle” option without any details of the shuttle. When I complained, they just said, yeah too bad, we advertised that way but what matters is what’s on the voucher. This is an illegal bait and switch tactic.

No hassle car rental at great prices

Booked a vehicle through car rentals in June, took the worry free package which promises free amendments & cancellation. When my flight was cancelled & rebooked it meant I would arrive 4 hrs earlier than I’d booked so I contacted them to amend the booking. They said they couldn’t do that & I had to rebook costing me an extra £78! And that I’d better take it as I wouldn’t get a better price. Cancelled, refund in £10/15 days, funny how it didn’t take them that long to take the money from my account. Booked another through British Airways cheaper than the original price. Shysters, don’t bother using.

After discovering this website during my car rental search, I noticed that the prices quoted appeared to be quite favourable. However, upon collecting the vehicle, I was informed that it did not include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance from Europcar apparently due to being charged in dollars.

This means that, if you are from North America, you can opt not to take any insurance and be liable for the full cost of the vehicle in the event of a write-off. Being from the UK, I did not want to take this potentially risky option and chose to pay for CDW insurance, which was inflated due to having to purchase the CDW insurance on the spot before being handed the keys.

I have always purchased additional excess insurance and thought this would suffice when using carrentals.co.uk however, this only applies when the vehicle already has CDW insurance with an excess figure.

Reviewing my contract mentioned that I might have to purchase CDW insurance or that it might already be included; this was not clear and hence I found it to be misleading.

Lesson learnt, and I shall not be using this company in future.

Always easy to book a rental.

Didnt get the type of car I paid for called the customer service and was very rude and basically said well refuse the car and try get a refund when you return. Well when your abroad with a family doesn’t give you much choice.
Dont use awful

No problems when picking up car and dropping off. Car was virtually brand new.
Paperwork to state car is ok would be nice at drop off.

" Worry free " It is not , pay extra for no worry car hire , to include excess , breakdown etc , arrive to pick up car , told not covered by eurocar , told do not book with carrentals , they do not have offices in airport , just a third party broker , zero customer service .
Do not book with them , too much worry and end up paying for loads of extras at the airport pick up point of your car . Thought Money saving expert club would not recommend such dire companies . I will be chasing MSE site up about this !!!!

Easy booking, easy web page, great car renting company

Booked through Carrentals.co.uk with their insurance and had no issues. Just make sure to check the car for non documented defects and show them to staff to include in the agreement.

We rented a car in Barcelona through carrentals.co.uk. Our rental company was AVIS. The experience we had with the was great. The car was fantastic, service was excellent. We did not have any problems. Thanks a lot. We will use your services again!

All straight forward at the pickup Make sure you check your insurance requirements in advance. Staff friendly and courteous. Car was in great condition but would have liked 5 mins to explain what all the controls did.

Terrible company. Had a traumatic experience paying for a car I never got. Lost a lot of money due to no fault of my own. Beware buyer!
