Great customer service!!!

I've had a fantastic experience with this company, and namely with the customer service representative Jessenia Torres. She was extremely kind, helpful, responsive, and understanding. She made it very easy when I needed to return an item and answered all of my questions quickly and thoughtfully. The magnetic wallet stand I ordered ended up being too big for the phone, but because the phone was delivered a month late, I was in possession of the stand for over a month when I finally tried it on and realized it wasn't a great fit. I explained this to her and sent a few pictures of the stand, and she processed the refund with speed and understanding. She's really patient and informative, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her!

Won’t publish reviews unless they’re 5 stars

The problem that I have with case-mate is they won’t publish any reviews that have even the slightest negative/difference of opinion in the wording. They will only post reviews that have all positive things in it. I don’t think that’s fair because customers have a right to know what they are buying before they buy it and there maybe some discrepancies with some of there products but they don’t want other customers to influence a purchase.

Didnt ship my products for 2 weeks and when I emailed them they just said it was due to covid. I paid express and it took 1 month to arrive. I am fully aware of covid so have been understanding if it had left their studio/ if they were in lockdown and unable to send. But they were fully operational and just could not send for no reason!

Case-Mate: Beware deceptive marketing

Two years ago I bought the Marine [Clear] case for my 2018 iPhone Xs Max--it performed fantastically except the silicone bumper detached and curled up around the case perimeter. Case-Mate swiftly approved a free replacement. I then bought a Marine Active case for my 2020 iPhone 12 Pro Max. The online description (mobile and desktop) states: "Pelican's slim five layer shell protects your smartphone and its SCREEN from scratches, impacts and drops up to 21 feet..." [emphasis added]. However, this new version of the Marine case lacks any screen protection--the glass is fully exposed. Moreover, this case is listed under WATERPROOF cases (why I bought it) yet it is NOT (since the screen is not protected). I called to confirm this and yes, it is not waterproof and there is no screen protection. No offer for a screen saver, no "What can I do to make you a satisfied Case-Mate customer". Deceptive, inaccurate, and incompetent attention to detail; detached and low EQ customer care representatives. The Pelican brand (I made three separate calls), who has granted an exclusive distribution agreement to Case-Mate for Pelican's phone cases, chose to absolve itself of any responsibility. A pathetic and utterly disappointing customer experience and a case study in the degradation of brand trust.

Not even a 1 foot drop protection

My phone fell out of my pocket while crawling on the floor with the kids (from 1 foot off the ground) and the screen cracked. I had my old case/ phone for 3 years and not a scratch and I've had this case/ phone for 4 hrs and it's cracked. So much for 10 foot drop rating....

Probably won’t ever purchase from them again

I bought a case made from eBay in 2017. The box says there’s a warranty however when I contacted customer support they said they would not honor the warranty as it is a third-party seller selling the item. They only offered 40% off discount their current products however they did not offer the product that I purchased. To be honest this leads me to believe that even if I had purchased the product from them and had a warranty covered they could not replace the product. This is why I give a one star review because a lifetime warranty is not even five years. Unfortunately customer support is like a robot and then a real person.

I bought a waterfall iPhone case for my iPhone XR and the liquid slowly leaked into my phone causing water damage and discoloration on my screen! I'm very unhappy because I had no clue it was leaking until I actually felt a drop of liquid on my phone and then noticed the case had hardly any liquid left in it! My phone is ruined, my volume and screen! I've only had my phone for a year now! I would not ever recommend buying a case with liquid! This is very upsetting because I have to replace my whole phone

False Advertising, No Help

I bought a case from Case-Mate, even though it was extremely expensive. It advertised a $150 warranty, describing it as for if the phone got damaged in the case. False advertising. My phone broke after dropping two feet (despite 10 foot drop protection and shock absorption technology). I filed a claim and was told the warranty only covers a new case if the case got damaged. Despite all the advertising for the warranty, including a salesperson making a big deal about how it protects the phone, all I got was a screen snip of one line of text saying the warranty does not help with device damage. I asked for the source of this snip, and they sent me a link. The link did not lead to the text.
I received no help from Case-Mate, and there was no remorse for their false advertising. They told me I could get a free replacement case if I proved damage to the case. However, their most expensive case is $80, so they clearly never intended to pay the full warranty.
They ask customers to pay for overpriced phone cases under the false pretense that it will protect their device. If this is how they want to treat their customers and run their business, they need to make that clear from the start. Do not allow licensed sellers to be confused about the product and advertise it as what it is not. Do not let customers be purposefully misled by the packaging and have it advertised as what it is not. Do not hide your policies so the realization that your products and service are virtually worthless yet costly only comes after the price has been paid.

I never damaged a phone before. I have had phones literally drop from three or four feet, skid across uneven brick, and land with force. That phone was in a $10 case. The case and phone were unharmed. Next time, I will get the $10 case. It works better than anything from Case-Mate.

Bad customer service, sent the wrong product twice so far.

I ordered a $40 case from Case Mate for my iPhone 11 Pro. They sent me a case for a Pro Max which is a larger phone. I contacted them, and Jessina Torres sent me another case. The replacement case is ALSO wrong. She’s fighting with me saying “you asked for a case for an 11 Pro so that’s what I sent you”. Yes, that is what I asked for. But it’s not what I got. Their customer service department has poor English skills and is making this very difficult. I strongly do not recommend this company, very difficult to deal with and clearly it is full of stupid people.

Products dont last and TERRIBLE customer service

Literally the WORST company I have had to deal with in regards to replacement products. I love the style of their iphone ring, but it last about 1-2 months and the pin pops out and its useless. They are $15 a pop and im on my 4th one. I contacted case mate and Jessenia Torres, was short with me from the start, but denied my claim. So i went to target and bought my FIFTH ring and sent a copy of the receipt, a video, and various pictures of the broken ring to her in hopes that I could at least get one of the replaced. She wrote back and said the receipt was not valid because it wasn't a ring, despite me sending physical PICTURES!

Major design flaw

The cover came in a very nice package.
I used it on my Z-flip phone and it seemed like I made a good choice. Material seem rigid and tough. I'm sure it will do its job to protect the phone while open or closed.
There is a soft, thin and flexible strip that connects to two parts of this cover. When the phone is in open position, it folds outward and sticks out (By the way, the photo on case-mate's site does not show this condition). A bit annoying, but tolerable.
The Z-flip's power button is also a finger print sensor. The access opening on the cover is designed isn such a way that it is not aligned correctly with the power button, thus does not allow the print to be recognized.
At this point (no mater how well built and how protective it is) it becomes useless.
Unless this major design flaw gets corrected, I can't recommend anyone to buy this cover.
BTW, I believe 2 stars is a generous rating.
Definitely going to return this item.

Do not purchase

Bought a case mate protection pack and dropped my phone once and called about the warranty and it does nor cover my phone damage! What kind of company sells a case that only warranties the case and not the device it is put in? I will never buy this brand again and i will be sure to let others know not to buy it either. You would think with all the BAD reviews they would do something.

iPhone ruined because of this case!!!

Bought the waterfall case which soon after leaked. I thought this might be a once off and tried to return it for replacement but heart nothing back from case mate. I stupidly repurchases the case then because I liked it so much only to have it leak once again but this time damaging my iPhone.
Can’t get through to customer service and my application for replacement/refund still hasn’t been looked at. The water damage to my phone couldn’t be fixed so I had to buy a brand new iPhone.
Terrible terrible company and customer service, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I purchased a Waterfall Casemates that ultimately leaked all over my phone causing irreparable water damage to my phone. I bought my phone into the Verizon store and they diagnosed the problem. When the problem was diagnosed at Verizon, there was no evidence that I mishandled the phone (ie scratches on the screen, phone or otherwise....JUST WATER DAMAGE).

When I contacted Casemates about the problem, they have REFUSED to take responsibility for their faulty product which was purchased (not cheap by way) to protect my phone and ultimately ended up ruining it. They have instead attempted to blame me for mishandling the phone. Hello? Casemates touts their products to be able to protect your phone?!! I have asked them to cover the $199 cost of the deductible to insurance they continue to REFUSE to do even this!! DO NOT PURCHASE any of these products!!!!!

Utter trash warranty coverage

Utter trash warranty coverage. They claim to guarantee the quality of the product and I believed them initially when I bought the ULTRA PROTECTION screen protector. Expensive purchase with life time warranty - so I thought why not?

Turns out it cracks and scratches just as easily as any other and when I wrote in for a replacement they simply offset the cost of the screen protector and told me to pay for my own shipping. 21 dollars.

So to summarize, case-mate’s stellar services delivers : a 50% chance of receiving a defective product, a warranty coverage that does not waive your shipping fees after you have received a defective product. Way to go.

And when you want to leave a GENUINE review on their website at the product page, OOPS, publication of it is SUBJECT to employee approval. 😊

Excellent cases and whoever is on here saying these cases do not protect is lying because they are damn good cases..only problem I have with my waterfall cases the big air bubble that forms I sent it back and the one I got today has the same air bubble straight out the box..but I’m sure they will replace it but I guess I’ll just have to purchase a different one from them..but I still give Casemate 5 stars..

Be warned UK purchasers

Be warned UK purchasers. Case mate claim all import duties are included in your final bill. They most certainly are not. Over £19 was demanded by DHL and Case Mate refused to stop the delivery when asked. Totally misleading. Avoid this company!

If I could give negative stars I would

If I could give negative stars I would. My casemate "protective" case did not protect the front or back of my phone. One day, I dropped my phone on the ground, and it fell backwards and cracked the entire back of my phone. The entire back was covered and supposed to be "protected" by casemate. As well, just last week I dropped my phone front-side down on the ground by accident, and the entire front of my phone was shattered beyond repair. I loved the designs of these cases, however, clearly they did nothing at all to protect my phone. Honestly, I think you would be better off having no case than wasting your money on these cases.
