Premium price for a 'Wrong Road' delivery and crushed packaging – Zero support.

UPDATE: 2/4/26: CCL’s claim that they "previously advised" a return is factually incorrect. Before I initiated a Section 75 claim, CCL’s official position via email was that they would not offer anything—no compensation for the damaged packaging, no refund of the failed £6.00 delivery service, and no recognition of the 2 days of annual leave I lost.
Their only "offer" was a "Manual Inspection" of functional hardware—an obstructive stalling tactic.
I have already emailed CCL the full photographic evidence log, including:
GPS proof showing the courier at the WRONG STREET on Friday.
Photos of the CRUSHED retail box delivered on Sunday.
I am not returning a high-end "Golden Sample" card because of your service failure; I am seeking a fair partial refund for the proven damage and the failed delivery service you were paid for.
The Manchester Evening News, Bolton News, and my bank (Mastercard/Section 75) now have the full evidence log of your initial refusal to help. My 16:30 deadline stands.

UPDATE: CCL have now responded, but they are still refusing to refund the failed 'Premium' delivery fee. Instead, they are demanding I return this £850 card for 'inspection' to 'advise' me of a result later. I have already provided photographic proof of the delivery failure and the damaged box. They are essentially holding a resolution hostage behind more hurdles. I will not be bullied into returning working hardware just to get a £6 refund I’m legally owed.

I purchased a high-value NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti and paid for 'Premium' delivery. What I received was a masterclass in poor service and a total lack of accountability.
The Delivery Failure:
Despite being home for two days of annual leave plus my final day off, the driver failed to deliver. I had to act as my own private investigator to find out why. The photographic 'proof' provided by the courier clearly showed the driver stood on an entirely different road. I was 'trapped' in my house until 2:00 PM on my day off waiting for a delivery that was never coming to my door.
The Product Condition:
When the card finally arrived, the external packaging was shredded and the GPU box itself was crushed. For High Value
hardware, the resale value is now permanently impacted by the state of the packaging.
The 'Support' Experience:
After 3 emails, starting Saturday untill Tuesday midday i finally got a response. After three more emails, I finally received a basic apology. However, when I requested a fair resolution for the breach of 'Premium' service and the damaged packaging, I was told by 'Dan' and a 'Senior Colleague' that they are 'unable to offer any refund or compensation.' They won't even refund the £6 pound odd delivery fee.
CCL has essentially taken my money for a guaranteed service they didn't provide, ignored photographic evidence of their own driver’s error, and left me with a damaged box.
Conclusion:
If you value your time, your money, or the condition of your high-end hardware, look elsewhere. I am now forced to escalate this to a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider and report the matter to Trading Standards.
An absolute shambles of a customer experience

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience.

We would like to clarify that the service selected at the time of purchase was a next-day delivery service. While we always aim to meet this timeframe, it is not guaranteed, as delays can occasionally occur with third-party couriers outside of our control. We can also confirm that although your delivery was upgraded to a premium weekend service, this was not a service paid for directly through us.

Regarding the packaging, you confirmed that the product itself arrived in full working condition. However, we understand that the condition of the packaging is also important.

As previously advised, we are happy to offer a return if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.

If you would like to proceed with a return, please contact our customer service team, and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

Kind regards,
CCL

Very bad experience

I purchased a 32GB G.Skill RAM kit (graded) from CCL Online, and it has been nothing but trouble. From the start, my PC kept randomly resetting, clearly pointing to a faulty RAM kit.

After contacting customer service, I was told this exact RAM kit had already been returned previously as faulty — yet they still resold it. They claim it was “checked” and found to be fine, but now they want to test it again before issuing any refund. This is completely unacceptable.

Selling a product that has already been flagged as faulty, then making the customer go through additional delays to prove the same issue again, shows a serious lack of quality control and accountability.

Yes, the RAM comes with a lifetime manufacturer warranty, but that’s not the point — customers should not be sold known returned faulty items in the first place.

Looking at recent reviews, this doesn’t seem like an isolated case. It appears CCL Online is reselling returned or potentially defective RAM kits.

I strongly advise avoiding graded components from this seller.

Superb Replacement of Faulty Items

I bought a couple of hard drives from CCL which both turned out to be faulty. When I reported this to CCL they took hold of the problem and dealt with it brilliantly, making the return and replacement of the discs painless and easy. I'm happy to recommend them as a good vendor, based on this experience.

Brilliant service

Brilliant service. Ordered a 'Horizon Ryzen 5 RTX 5060 Ti Pre-Built PC with ASUS Monitor and Accessories' at approx 15:30pm 07/02/26 and it was delivered at 13:00 the following day [a Sunday!]. Simply removed the protective packaging, following the accompanying instructions, and we were good to go.
Job's a good'un!

Friendly support, appalling technicians

Quick summary: 3 weeks to run a single freely available stress test unrelated to issues described to support team, and only ran the test after I emailed them following 2 weeks of no contact once they received the item.

I had some issues with consistent frametime spikes and boot issues, and after days of troubleshooting with different components, bios versions, windows installs etc. the variable was isolated to the motherboard I bought from CCL. After opening an RMA ticket, they had me send it in.

They received the motherboard on 18th august and would "shortly start processing" it. I received no further communications until 1st September, when I asked for an update or timeline. On 3rd September, I then received an email informing that the item had finished processing and been tested on 2nd September. According to this email, the testing performed was a heavy load in OCCT.

To highlight - it took CCL over 2 weeks from date of receival to run a simple, free stress test available for anyone to download from a public website. I have no idea of duration for the test, 0 detail provided here. Could've been 10 minutes, could've been 24 hours. This is 2 weeks of me not being able to use my computer which I also rely on for school work, due to "processing" and a single test effort.

In addition to this, the testing performed was both wholly irrelevant to the issues I took care to inform them in detail of, and so incredibly basic it would take almost 0 effort or technical knowledge to run it myself. For additional context, before RMA I've also run extensive tests on this motherboard in my system including the following:
- Y-cruncher tests such as FFTv4, VT3, BKT, SFTv4
- Tests in TM5 such as the 'Absolut' or 'DDR5 Ryzen3D' configs
- Prime95 tests including small FFTs, large FFTs and blend
- Coincidentally, also OCCT heavy and extreme loads
All of which have passed for hours each with no issues detected.

As previously mentioned, there were no stability issues with the motherboard to be found through stress tests, only BIOS issues causing occasional boot failures and consistently spiking frametimes in games. Given the description of the testing provided to me, I can only assume that nothing I brought up with support was actually tested.

While I understand that the issues I was experiencing could be arduous to reproduce, I had already provided detailed information including multiple frametime graphs showing the same issues in multiple games, and how these spikes behaved according to certain variables such as average framerate and CPU/GPU load distributions. I had hoped that this would point their team in the right direction, and I would've been more than happy to provide further assistance in reproducing issues in their own test environment.

On 8th September, I was informed that after a "thorough review" there was "no fault found" with the motherboard and it was sent back to me. In total, this makes 3 weeks that CCL held the motherboard I need for my main system, and performed a single basic and irrelevant test procedure before sending it back to me. From my perspective, it almost seems as if they had the box sitting on a shelf for 2 weeks, then hooked it into a test bench for an hour after I asked for an update on the RMA procedure.

I would strongly advise to avoid purchasing anything from CCL if you value future support options when buying hardware. The technician team responsible for handling hardware support tickets should be strongly scrutinised as this level of support is frankly disgusting, perhaps more so when considering this is a £280 motherboard. Anyone I spoke with directly was friendly and helpful, but my issue went unresolved as I refuse to waste any more of my own time and energy dealing with their technicians who seem adverse to any real troubleshooting and trained to shut down any sort of replacement or refund requests.

It feels insulting to need to spend this much more time and effort troubleshooting faulty hardware than the company I bought it from with infinitely more resources cares to.

Poor customer service

Placed an order for a new CPU. Ordered was accepted and received a confirmation email with an expected delivery date. When the day of delivery arrived and I had received no confirmation of time of delivery rang CCL and was told the item was out of stock. Did not see any mention of out of stock when I placed the order. Only alternative customer services offered me was an item costing more than twice the price. Customer service agent then said they would email me when the item was back in stock. A few minutes later I received an email stating CCL were cancelling my order and issuing a refund. If I could of given no stars for customer service I would.

Wide range at competitive prices.

CCL have a wide range of PC Cases and the Jet Stream model suited my purposes very well with good i/o connections and an ability to host multiple external mounted devices (eg DVD Reader, SD Card reader). The Case is built well and has no surprises for the home builder. Stock was readily available at CCL and delivery was fast. The price is very competitive.

Shocking customer service!

Having bought a GPU that qualified for a free game it has taken me 5 emails and 7 phone calls to try and get my game code (which forms part of the purchase). I still don't have said code!
CCL didn't try once, from their side, to resolve this issue instead waiting for me to chase a total of 12 times (still without success). I find it quite incredible how difficult it is just to get something that was part of my purchase. Ridiculous, simply ridiculous and such terrible customer service!
I have spent nearly 1400 pounds with them in the last 2 months but clearly they don't value my business, so that's ok - there are some other great online shops that do value my business!

My transaction with CCL went just how you would hope. Ordered the computer, got good communication about the purchase and delivery and they used a quality courier so delivery was smooth. Just a good experience from start to finish.
