I do not recommend the Cheshire Cheese Company. The cheeses were delivered on Dec 14th missing their magnetic presentation box, which meant they weren't suitable to give as a gift. I contacted the company 6 times over the following days, via phone message, contact form on their website and email, however got no response. On 30th Dec I finally received an email with an offer to refund the cost of the presentation box. On 18th January I still hadn't received the refund so had to chase it up again. Meanwhile, I still have 6 cheeses in my fridge that I have paid for but was not able to give as a gift.

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but after approximately 16 emails back and forth I felt it was needed. I spent a lot of time decided what cheese items to purchase as these were Christmas presents & I was excited to receive my order. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the box and found substandard products. I know I ordered "pack and send" as opposed to a hamper but it really looked as if each item had been picked up, thrown from a distance and launched into the box. I was making my own hamper up with the cheeses with many other products, so I didn't need to purchase their own actual hamper box. The only product that was in immaculate condition was the jar which was actually wrapped in some brown packaging. The label looked new as if it has just been picked off the shelf by myself which is what I expected. The boxes of crackers looked like they had written or marked on them with wax crayons, creased and broken and one box was full of broken biscuits. All the cheese truckles were coloured with different colours of wax from each other and looked so tatty, not at all new, and some labels were ripped. So upsetting as these were Christmas presents and should be in immaculate condition.
After multiple phone calls which were never answered and many emails which were ignored, I eventually received one offer of 50% refund or the damaged items resent. In hindsight I should have taken the refund but instead I asked for the cheeses and biscuits to be resent. I specifically asked for them to be very well packed. The box arrived and surprise surprise the box & contents were just as bad and no improvement. I didn't bother wasting my time contacting them again as it was too late for Christmas.
The cheese is really lovely, customer service is utterly abysmal and I would never recommend this company. I wish I had looked at reviews before sending an order to the Cheshire Cheese Company. They are also definitely still an active company despite them ignoring their customers as they manage to delete all the many negative reviews they are getting on Facebook and replying to the few decent ones.
It is such a shame this company need to sort their customer service and packing department out as their product really is excellent - if you receive it to try !

Lousy Company
Ordered, on the 5th November, both a hamper and a years subscription as a Christmas gift for my son. The hamper never arrived and, despite numerous attempts via email and phone, I have only received their standard email response. It’s now the 8th Jan and their recorded message still states that they are on holiday. Lousy company. I’m £44.90 out of pocket.
