The membership is great until you need to make a change. The customer service phone line is no longer offered so you can e mail and hope for the best. I could accept this if the app could offer the changes you need to make but that also is very limited. I am very frustrated but the lack of support they offer their members. Cineworld you need to be better!!

Turned up to watch a film we had booked…

Turned up to watch a film we had booked after getting a babysitter and driving 45 minutes to be told as we were about to buy popcorn that the film was cancelled. Apparently two hours previously we had been sent an email. This was so frustrating and wasted a lot of time and money. An email isn’t an effective way to inform customers of a last minute issue like a broken screen. I felt very strongly that a text or call when they have your mobile number to make a good faith effort to let you know would have been a better option. When I asked for a good faith gesture of a £10 voucher for the trouble caused and expense faced they refused. That’s how little this company value their customers.

Loyal customers deserve better

I’ve been a loyal Cineworld Unlimited Black Premium member for over 10 years. I recently asked to change my membership from Group 4 to Group 3 to cover only my local cinema.
Instead, my entire membership was cancelled without warning. I had to chase customer service myself just to find out how to restore my Black Premium status.
Cineworld has refused to offer any compensation for the inconvenience and disruption, and told me this is their final response.
This has been my worst customer service experience with Cineworld. Loyal customers deserve better!

Time to shut this place down.

We ordered tickets and snacks, and the woman asked us which payment method? I replied "with my gift card".

The woman went and got Shauna [general manager]. She blatantly refused our gift card and called me a fraudster.

This went on for around one hour, and at that point, the GM started blatantly lying, pretending to be on a call, in which is absurd.

We left and I returned after approximately, one hour. I asked to speak to the GM and the young girl radioed through. Shauna said that she was in a meeting and while the radio was live, I mentioned a MLA and a solicitor. She miraculously appeared from the so-called meeting within about 15/20 seconds.

I want to raise awareness about their inhumane attitudes. The reputation can't possibly be further damaged, going by their trust pilot rating.

I'm working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure this place is held accountable.

BOLLOCKS (or FRAUD if you prefer)

ALWAYS CHEAPER ONLINE - yet no opportunity to apply meercat movies discount - BOLLOCKS
Making false statements to acquire money is the definition of fraud - reporting tomorrow.

Less heinous but still illegal - ECommerce Regulations 2003? requirement for an email address for an ecommerce site - where is the address stated?

Sorry cinema industry you are DOOMED - seemples.

I'm a unlimited member

I'm a unlimited member, this has to be the worst app I have come across, full of bugs I have to restart everytime I want to book and it never has the correct times or dates avaliable. Can see why many are closing when it is this hard to book a simple ticket.

Just rejoined Cineworld after ceasing my account when Renfrew Street closed down.
It was an absolute hassle rejoining online.
I saw a couple of films and one subscription was taken from my account and then when I tried to book my next film, I had no access. I now have to go through all this joining procedure again, so frustrating

Refusing to log my complaint

I sent cineworld an email regards an issue and expressed this was a complaint. Cineworlds advisor Shailja responded each time telling me they refuse to escalate my complaint to a manager as I had requested. Their last email had the audacity to say any further correspondence they would treat as "feedback only" ... they are outright refusing to log consumer complaints, outright refusing to deal with consumer complaints, then gaslight their customers telling them it will be recorded only as feedback. Extremely poor customer service. And possibly even a breach of UK consumer act ?

Easily the worse Customer Service in the UK

Must me the worse Customer Service in the UK. Telephone’s no longer working, Customer Service email address no longer working. All enquiries have to be made through their website, where a bot answers everything. If it doesn’t understand you correctly you’ve had it! because it is impossible to actually communicate with a human.

AVOID CINEWORLD

AVOID CINEWORLD - use other quality companies.

On 26 December, there was a disruption in the screen, so I left and only requested a refund for my drink. Instead of processing the refund, I was charged again. It’s only £10 in total, but it’s the principle. It is now 19 February, and the customer service and attitude I’ve received throughout this period have been very poor. I have only been offered a refund for the costs incurred, and I feel some compensation for the error, delay, and poor customer service should also be provided.

Zero customer service

Zero customer service. They no longer have a phoneline. I contacted them through email and social media. Tried to book 3 tickets for an IMAX screening use the three voucher codes and the cineworld app for whatever reason took my money but the booking failed, cineworld app fault this was. Was told to go back to three and that cineworld could do nothing. At end of the day because of the cineworld app I have now lost 3 voucher codes and am still waiting for a refund 2 days later after the booking failed. Personally don’t see cineworld lasting much longer in all honesty when they have zero customer service

Booked tickets at Milton Keynes for my son and friend. They wouldn't allow them in as friend forgot his ID - but they had no customer service to speak at MK cinema, and said I would need to contact customer services through the website. Its all automated, couldn't speak to a person, filled a form in and no refund or voucher provided - just an automated e-mail to the one I sent - I don't think it was even read by a human. A really poor service, and will be avoiding in the future

Gave up and went elsewhere

After 25 minutes and three failed attempts to get from selecting seats to reaching a payment page we gave up and booked with another cinema chain. A slightly longer drive but realistically the Cineworld site was so poor I didn't want to trust it with card information. If the site is so poor I can't trust their card security.

Just dissapointing

Just diasapointing. Extremely expensive. Made to feel like I was kicking up a fuss when i really wasmln't when i stated we couldn't have seats not together as my sons only 3. He sits in my lap most of the time anyway so i said could i please have one seat so he can sit on my lap as he was excited for the film and no other kids films on. They charged me full whack (9.99 for kids seat and 13 quid for adult) . Even though i pointed out i was only using one seat due to availability was met with a robotic response from lady at counter. Very poor. Won't be back

Absolute joke of an organisation

Trying to cancel my annual auto-renewal as required in their T&Qs by email. Get the same automated response that I need to reply to the email should I wish to cancel. Then nothing, just the same email again. The phone helpline listed on their website is no longer in service. Dismissal service!

Can't book online

On the rare occasion I try to book tickets online for Cineworld (I prefer Vue as they're cheaper but sometimes they don't have a lot of time slots for certain films) the website never lets me book. I get up to 'confirm booking' and then get a never ending spinning circle that times out and tells me the booking has expired. This is the only website where I have this issue. Weird.

Cineworld Rochester - Dirty and Smelly

Very simply, I took my daughter to the cinema and screening smelt bad throughout. The place was dirty with sticky floors, the seats were old fabric ones and heavily stained, and there was discarded food everywhere — on the floor, on seats, and even as you walked to the screening.

The projector showing the feature-length cartoon kept going dark and light and was constantly flickering, which made it hard to watch.

This was reported to staff on site, who showed no interest whatsoever. We ended up leaving before the film had even finished.

I then emailed in and received a farcical response two weeks later from management saying I should have left within 20 minutes, as that is their protocol for complaints. I wrote back questioning this shambolic response, only to receive another email confirming they had “definitely taken my feedback seriously” and that they would not be replying any further.

Well done Cineworld Rochester, you have really let your quality shine through.

In summary, you get what you pay for. Paying extra for Showcase Bluewater is ALWAYS worth it over this circus — and I use the word circus deliberately, as clearly the management are clowns.
