DON'T trust this company

To anyone considering becoming a customer at ComHem, beware. This corporation is an unbelievably ridiculous disgrace of a "service-provider". They show up at your house, won't leave you alone until you answer. They pressure you, sweet talk you into taking their "excellent deals" only to be sent a router that does not work, they promise you that you may keep your number and change it anyway, leading into missed calls and thousands of kronor worth of lost work assignments. After all this is done they make you wait in line for hours at a time, many days in a row and never call you back even if they have told you they will do so. They bounce you around to different people on the phone only to cut you off after hours of waiting. I have never experienced anything this disgraceful in my life. Don't become a customer, this company sucks so hard.

I have ComHem as a company account

I have ComHem as a company account. The terms and conditions of the mobile phone contract are the worst on the market. In order to change mobile providers, a customer must leave 3 months written notice and, if they do not, are charged 399 kr in addition to the three months. When I wrote ComHem (now Tele2) about this, I did not even get a reply until the second email, after which all they did was send me a copy of my contract. Fine, but at least they could have addressed my question in a reply, like "Please find your contract attached. As you see in the contract..." but nothing. Not even a "hello." What kind of way is this to handle a customer, especially since I am still a customer of their Internet. I guess they think, "Well, you changed mobile providers so up yours." Thanks, ComHem/Tele2. You get one star for your lack of effort.

Awful and unreliable internet service...

Awful and unreliable internet service with awful customer support on top of that. Currently paying for 300mbit/s download speed but can barely reach 200mbit/s with a netword card that is supposed to be able to reach 1000mbit/s. ComHem are scammers and liars, don’t do any business with them.

Ignorant unskilled employee

Such a bad customer service, lack of knowledge and skill. The coworker was unfriendly and even rude. Didn't get any help with my problem and then he was supposed to connect me to another coworker when the call was just cut off, and I had to call again and got number 107 in line. Such bad company, do not recommend it!

Such a bad customer service

Such a bad customer service! Im not sure if I have ever experienced worse service.
The servant could not fix an easy issue. After 20mins of talk she forward me to other line where the waiting line was more than 100 people. Are you kidding? No call back service, no English support. Are you kidding me?
I already wasted 45 mins on phone before even having a change to explain the issue. I have tried to call you many times, same thing every time.

Forcing customers to pay 400SEK without receiving anything in return.

Com Hem steals 400 SEK from you are forced into an agreement with them due to the landlord.

Com Hem claims it is a “start fee”. Been working in the industry for some time now, I know there is no cost on their side what so ever.

I do the installation myself and my apartment building already have all the outlets necessary from Com Hem.

400 straight in their pockets for nothing, nothing, nothing.

Been over a month without a working broadband

Been over a month without a working broadband. ComHem's so called support says "it will be solved on this date". The date comes, and guess what, it hasn't been solved.

When demaning some kind of compensation, like a nullified payment for the month, or a mobile broadband they say "we can't do that", "we calculate the compensation when the issue is fixed". Well it seems they've found out the best way to avoid giving out compensation is not fixing the issue at all.

ComHem rip off or fraud?

We regret not being able to rate below one star. Comhem would receive minus 5 star from us. Now it is 10 times worse. All the channels and programs we signed up for are gone and we only have RUBBISH and we mean ancient rubbish of no interest to anybody. Have complained but no response. ComHem have broken their contract with us and treated us as captives until the end of our 2 year contract with another 9 months to run. How can this be happening to many millions of Swedish customers and it seems nothing can or will be done about it. We want to sign up with Telia but cannot afford to be paying for both until the end of ComHem contract. Must be something we can do. ANYONE ELSE IN SAME HOPELESS SITUATION WITH COM HEM????

World's slowest support, hands down

I will not say if it's a good or bad company, you get to decide. I contacted them 3 weeks before moving to a new appartment and they reassured me that it is a seamless transition on the date we agreed. 5 days after I moved to my new appartment I still have no internet or TV. They are telling me they will sort it out in 1 week. So if everything goes well, it's 12 days disconnected. I am using internet since it exists in various countries, including much less developed places than sweden, but I was never let down this way.
I ll get sure I won't be their client anymore on the next occasion. Shame.

Called them to cancel my ip-phone, they told me that i could keep it for free and could just start to use it later on again if i ever har the need. A couple of months later they apparently started charging for it again, autogiro kicked in and 2 years later the money have stacked up... low trust over all.

Dishonest and bad Business Model.

I must say that Com Hem continues to over and over again amaze me with a bad and dishonest business model.

At first their sales people don't inform you about everything or, which isn't better, know the details about what they are selling. I recently signed up for a package deal with a mobile plan, broadband and TV. I was supposed to get some extra benefits (3 out of 3 possible) for doing this, but later I notice that I can't get all the benefits due some exceptions that I wasn't informed about. Specifically faster internet connection.

When I get my first invoice I also notice that they've added not only a fee for the paper invoice, but also a very high fee for shipping.

Furthermore their services are a disappointment from a qualitative point of view. My IPTV transmissions buffers and lags often, and every second or third time when I try to switch the channel, I get an error message. The Play/Streaming service also buffers constantly. The stream is better when I'm watching directly on my mobile phone. Personally I also expected to be able to record TV, since that's been the case and one of their marketing gimmicks for years. But apparently this is not possible with their IPTV box - which I wasn't informed about.

My sincere recommendation is that you avoid signing up for anything from Com Hem.

Money extraction in the form of late payment fee and recovery agency fees

Comhem's monopoly at our apartment has made us choose them unfortunately. From the day we started the subscription with them, we have one or the other problems.
I will first list the latest problem I faced and then the old problem later.

Recently I missed to pay a bill for the month of Jan. The due date for payment was on 29th January. When they did not receive the money, they say they have sent me a reminder letter which has an additional late payment fee of 60 SEK. I never received that letter from them.
They have waited just for 3 weeks and handed over the case to recovery agency and the recovery agency called Sergel has sent me a letter on the 22nd day and they have charged me an additional 180 SEK as recovery agency charges on top of this 60 SEK.
So, all in all, for a delay of just 21 days, i have to pay them 60 SEK + 180 SEK = 240 SEK penalty + my outstanding bill.

This is clearly a Money looting mechanism from comhem in the form of terms, conditions, rules and regulations. We can't even opt out of the services as they would force us to get into a 1 year binding claus while taking the connection.

This was a very simple case where it could have got resolved between myself and comhem directly. They had all my details in their database, but they did not call me or email me about the missed payment. Sending my case to a recovery agency within such a short notice was not at all necessary but they did that with evil intentions.
I wrote them several emails and made several phone calls, stone hearted people at customer care. BE SURE, CUSTOMER CARE NEVER HELPS OR CARES ABOUT YOU AT COMHEM. You have a doubt? Call them to experience it for yourself.

I finally gave up the battle and paid all their exorbitant charges as they threatened that they will take it further to court of law.

Remember, I said i had other problem. Below are the details.
They did a cross selling of tv package to me which we did not want, while taking the internet connection , but when i applied for cancellation of it within 14 days cooling off period , they still refused to cancel the tv subscription.
Customer care team is rude in their behaviour. They answer irresponsibly and reply to emails irresponsibly. Finally i still have the tv connection and still paying 100 sek every month though i rarely watch the tv.
I wrote several emails and showed them proof but again stone hearted customer care executives simply won't care for anything as they know they have monopoly abd have a upper hand over everyone in Sweden. So they make their own rules and forcefully make us follow them.

Verdict : Disappointed with them for all the mental harassment, exorbitant money extraction, binding periods, cross sales, unhelpful customer care, etc.
AVOID THEM.

Alternative : If you do not have any other service providers at your locality, simply take a mobile internet connection like Lycamobile who gives you 50 GB for 100 SEK. Then use your mobile phone as WIFI Hotspot. Its a far better option and saves a lot of money too..

Unsatisfying customerrelations

They told me everything limited to the positive side of the subscription. Which is unfortunately how it works. I did not ask all questions that I would have and I realized later on that the ones I asked are not as I thought in the contract.
Be very carefully how do you sign a contract with them. They aren't helpfull at all when you have problems later on.

Comhem, where service is nowhere to be found

Sweden, a country where monopolies are allowed
Comhem, a company who sets its eyes on scamming its own customers, and doesn't give a crap about situations outside of control of their customers and themselves.

Item: subscription

Background: we have a fiber subscription with comhem, good experience so far, a happy customer they should be willing to keep right? Well, no they rather send threats on our way.

We have a subscription with comhem until 2020-05, this is a contract at our current apartment. Which is a monopoly, we are forced to have comhem because apparently the Swedish communistic government allows monopolies. We bought a new house, which unfortunately does not have a fiber connection yet. We ordered fiber, but it will take 2 months to connect.

The problem is that comhem does not support telejacket connections, so we have a subscription that is no good to us. But remember we are happy customers so as soon as we have fiber connected we want to stay with comhem.

Called comhem customer service, 1st guy was very understanding but explained he couldn't move the subscription over to the new house due to the lack of fiber connection. But he suggested, maybe we can pause the subscription for 2 months, so you can get internet somewhere else temporarily and then come back to us when you have fiber. But he could not make that decision, so he transferred me to some more senior employees of comhem.

So talked with the 2nd guy, explained the situation. He plainly said in a condescending tone, your only option but to stay is to cancel and pay a 7000sek fee for the rest of the term. Negotiated for 20 minutes, to explain to him that if they pause the subscription for 2 months and extend the subscription for 2 months they done loose income AND they don not lose a happy customer he simply replied and treated to send me a 7000sek bill.

The solution was so simple, the story could have such a happy ending so easily. But all they care about is income. The customers are not first. Service is an unknown concept to comhem.

My advice to many people who consider comhem, avoid it as much as you can. Unfortunately you are sometimes forced by your communistic government to take up a contract with comhem. But if you can avoid it, please do so. Even if you are in a situation outside of your control, they do NOTHING to try to please and keep their happy customers.

Worst ISP I have ever used

Worst ISP I have ever used.

Internet have crashed around once per week since 2005. Different apartments and routers. When I first got them they forgot to enable my internet for over a week and their support kept telling me there was nothing wrong. "Restart your router".

Have no choice either since they have bought into the apartment and the owners of the complex see no reason to upgrade to city/open fiber.
