Poppy Newcomb was handling both my sale and purchase over a number of months. She was very polite and professional throughout the whole process, and I noticed that she acted promptly and seemed to genuinely care about keeping me up to date and informed. In general I also found the whole web portal a very good idea, and the completion of tasks made everything crystal clear and well organised. Although it did feel a long slog, and was frustrating at times, that was more due to the process in general. I was very happy with the service I received.

We were told that local Solicitors would be easier to use. How wrong was that. These people are so user friendly. Our Solicitor Mia Griffiths was always at the end of a direct line, if she was unavailable (not very often), then one of her colleagues would help and always have an answer. Mia would normally contact us with information as it arose (not leaving us to chase). Excellent service, and cheaper than a local Solicitor.

Sam Freeman was helpful throughout the house buying process aiding us to have a smooth completion on our first home, we were a bit concerned by lack of communication at the start but this would appear to be a function of the timeline of the process. Towards the last month before completion Sam was on top of everything, responded quickly to any requests and helped create a stress free purchase.

I honestly can’t thank Tom from Conveyancing direct enough for everything he did to help me through my property purchase. The process took much longer than expected due to complications with the property, but throughout it all, Tom remained patient, professional, and incredibly supportive.

As a first-time buyer purchasing on my own, I found the whole process quite overwhelming, especially the legal aspects. Tom took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand, always answered my questions, and reassured me whenever I felt unsure. It was clear from the start that he genuinely had my best interests at heart.

What impressed me most was his determination to get the sale over the line. He went above and beyond, working tirelessly to ensure everything was completed just in the nick of time. His dedication, kindness, and expertise made a stressful experience so much easier to manage.

I would not hesitate to recommend Tom to anyone looking for a solicitor. His professionalism, communication, and genuine care for his clients are second to none.

Having dealt with solicitors previously, both independent local ones and the remote ones like this one ...I was pleasantly surprised by the constant communication by Claudia Bediako who handled the conveyancing for us.
She would answer her phone when called and respond to emails in a timely manner. I never had to chase her and was never left feeling frustrated as in previous dealings with other companies.

I highly recommend for a 5 star service.

A link in our chain - the sale was supposedly in hand since January, but by May (acting as the seller, 3 links down), I discovered that no searches had been ordered and the management pack hadn't even been requested. From there, it took 8 weeks to get a response to basic enquiries. Furthermore, a requested CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) form was ignored for 5 weeks. This complete lack of action eventually caused our entire chain to collapse.Rhianne Trailer’s management of this file was entirely incompetent. Her manager ultimately had to take over just to get responses out, but by then, it was far too late. I strongly advise avoiding this firm unless you want your property transaction jeopardized.

Huw Waters is a legend! Excellent communication and kept us up to date with the process. Even when I was chasing almost daily due to incompetence of the buyers solicitor, Huw did everything he could to get us exchanged! Give this man a raise.

If I could give zero stars I would! Luckily it’s not us that used this company. It’s our buyer.
No chain property that’s taken more than 5 months to sell. We have been waiting for this uselsss company for weeks. If you are unfortunate enough to use them AND you get Bartholemew as your conveyancer than I feel sorry for you! He just ignore emails from other solicitors. Doesn’t bother to do the things he’s supposed to. He’s obviously just not very good and maybe it’s too much for him. Avoid them at all costs!
How this company has 4.4 stars and rates as excellent when almost a quarter of their reviews are one star is actually laughable!

I would not recommend this firm.

My sale eventually completed, but the process was unnecessarily stressful from start to finish. Communication was poor throughout, with repeated chasing required just to obtain updates on the progress of the transaction.

There were several occasions where I felt matters were not being proactively managed, resulting in delays and additional frustration. An issue also arose during the transaction which was later acknowledged by the firm as an oversight on their part, yet I still found myself having to spend a significant amount of time pursuing a fair resolution.

What was most disappointing was the amount of effort required to resolve matters. Rather than focusing on the sale itself, I felt I was constantly having to chase for updates, seek clarification and challenge charges that I believed were unfair in the circumstances. Although a partial refund was eventually agreed following escalation, this only came after considerable back-and-forth.

Buying and selling property is stressful enough without having to manage your conveyancer as well.

Based on my experience, I would not use this firm again and would advise others to consider alternative conveyancing providers.

We have just completed on our house using the services of Conveyancing Direct with a special mention of Daniel Hendriks, who acted on our behalf efficiently and kept us updated throughout the process. He was also very friendly and approachable and did his best to answer my questions, it was a pleasure doing business with him.

I found the level of service I received from Mr Happy Khumbeni deeply disappointing. Throughout the transaction, there were repeated communication issues, delays, mistakes and a lack of proactive management at key stages of the process.

What was particularly frustrating was the feeling that matters could have been handled far more efficiently with basic organisation, attention to detail, and common sense. A property purchase is one of the most significant financial transactions most people undertake, and I expected a much higher standard of professionalism and coordination.

Massive credit must go to Simon and Mr Cosson, whose support and intervention helped ensure the transaction ultimately completed. Their responsiveness and commitment stood in stark contrast and gave me confidence when it was most needed.

Conveyancing Direct as a company appears to have capable and dedicated people within its team, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I hope this feedback reaches senior management and is taken seriously, as inconsistent service from individual case handlers like Mr Happy Khumbeni has the potential to damage the reputation of an otherwise good firm.

In few words: clueless, useless, incompetent!

Rachel was great with help getting my sale and purchase through as quickly as possible. She was always there when I called and helpful with any queries I had throughout the process.
