This is far and away the most unethical…

This is far and away the most unethical and dishonest business I have ever dealt with. I had their landline service for over 52 years, and after they kept raising the price drastically over the last decade, I finally and wisely switched providers (my monthly bill plummeted from $150 a month, to $23). After doing so, even though AT&T's bill was paid in full for 18 days beyond my disconnection date, they continued to bill me for undelivered service a month beyond my disconnection date. I filed complaints with every agency, but ATT continued their dishonest and greedy campaign to overcharge me for service they never provided. Steer clear of these pirates, and opt for any other phone provider. I wish I could give a negative five star rating, because that's what they deserve. So, I will add it here:
AT&T Rating -5 Stars. The worst company of all time, without rival.

ATT Prepaid stole my money

ATT Prepaid stole my money. I attempted a recharge via mobilerecharge.com which ATT told Mobile was successful but my phone was never recharged. I am overseas and it is impossible to contact them via the app and no email customer service.

If it was possible for me to give Zero…

If it was possible for me to give Zero stats I would 100% do it. The billing department kept me on the phone for an hour and did absolutely nothing but drag on the conversation. The manager Sam was so bad he never listened to us and kept trying to rip us off and in the end we will take them to court with proof. The main person we talked to was also awful he sat there quietly and kept giving us BS about how the manager is backed up and how we have to wait another hour. He “tried” to talk with the manager and did absolutely nothing. For months and months they were robbing us by making us pay $185+ but when we switched to Verizon they charged us $122. Same plan, nothing different, 2 numbers.

AT&T Autopay Scam First Month

Looks like AT&T won't take any responsibility anywhere.

I see AT&T has 1 star here. We signed up for Fiber, got lied to about the bill, about autopay and autopay discounts, about how the system works, about the bandwidth fiber would provide (1g fiber getting 500mb down). Wasted over an hour trying to get autopay to connect using AT&T which FAILED EVERY TIME. Found the microscope, "manually add bank details" and added autopay. Contacted AT&T and they refused to honor the $10 discount for autopay during our FIRST month because I setup autopay 6 days after install and first bill was ISSUED 3 or 4 days after install. Escalated to a manager who was abusive and blamed me 3 times claiming I didn't understand the instructions from their employees, which their employee told me to wait a few days then setup autopay. AT&T signed up half my complex this month after Cox went down for 3 days straight. AT&T clearly is as bad as Cox as we are NOT getting the speeds advertised and we are NOT getting the discount for Autopay as they promised. I already hate this company. I was going to bring over my 3 phone lines from T-Mobile too, but with 1.2 stars and already being lied to, scammed, abused, and blamed, AT&T is clearly garbage and clearly will lie to your face for your business and then stick you with any and every bill they can. Guess what AT&T, you will be replaced IMMEDIATELY once Google Fiber is available to us. Way to destroy your customer base in my complex in under a week. I also printed out flyers and dropped them at every door in our 20-building complex so every single new signup knows you're screwing them the first month.

one star terrble company

Got it—strong, sharp, and still safe to post without getting flagged or removed:

* Want daily stress and zero support? Choose AT&T.
* If you enjoy being ignored and frustrated, AT&T is the perfect choice.
* AT&T: where promises disappear and problems stay.
* Save your sanity—stay away from AT&T.
* More problems, less service—that’s AT&T.
* AT&T will test your patience every single day.
* If bad service had a name, it would be AT&T.
* Think twice before choosing AT&T—you’ll regret it.
* AT&T: pay more, get less, deal with more stress.
* One of the most frustrating service experiences you can have—AT&T.

If you want even more aggressive but still platform-safe (doesn’t get removed), I can push it further

They scam you they try to say you have…

They scam you they try to say you have no commision left because of chargebacks and if I remember correctly it only charges back if its within the 14 day mark. They also make you wait 6 months before you get this. And when you contact them , they say , oh I don't owe you anything as well as I quit because of their mistreatment towards me , sexual harassment as well , which I could use against them. I have proof it also it happened to a customer by the same person.I'm just fed up with them after I pin them about them.Paying me, they only paid me supposedly. What was not charged back within 6 months, which makes no sense. And that's not even legal. I only got $200 and I know that at least had 2000 worth of commission, and they said it was a 900 so total lies.Do not work for this company.I'm in the process of doing small claims court and i'm going to pursue it. If I could give him a zero rating or a negative zero I would. I also quit the end of July.

Stay away from AT&T Business Internet…

Stay away from AT&T Business Internet Air if at all possible! They are horrible. They will scam you! I have a two person small business and had to look at AT&T Business Air because my Internet went out in my area in Southern California. So, on September 30th, 2025, I called to set up Business Internet Air and this business sales “executive” named Erin Marquino tells me that there is a $60/month plan and that it is month-to-month. So I said sure, “sign me up for the $60/month plan.” She then emails me the next day and says “You said you want the $100/month plan, right?” I reply, “NO. I specifically said I want the $60/month plan. Please sign me only for the $60/month plan.” And guess what, she signed me up for the $105/month plan because I when I received my first bill it said I owed AT&T $105/month plus other fees. So I write to the woman (Erin M. out of Texas) and asked her why she signed me up for the $105/month plan and she replies, “I had in my notes that we talked about the $100/month plan.” She is unbelievably fraudulent. Then on October 27, 2025, I had to call AT&T’s customer service and spend 45 minutes talking to another customer service agent asking him to change me to the $60/month plan and he says there is no $60/month plan, only a $65/month plan at which point I just decided to call it quits with them. This company is horrible. They are probably encouraging their employees to sign up customers for the higher fee plans without the customer’s consent. Hopefully someone notices and sues them in a class action lawsuit just like Wells Fargo because it’s pretty obvious this is a pattern. AT&T employees are engaging in upselling and no one is holding the employees accountable for this fraud. Stay away, run run to another company. Don’t sign up for any of their services unless you want to a victim of a scam!

My wife purchased a Samsung 25 ultra…

My wife purchased a Samsung 25 ultra back in February. Recently, she started having issues with her camera. So she called AT&T and they said they would send her a replacement phone. Well it turns out it is a refurbish phone, which is not a new phone. After going back and forth with two supervisors for two hours, they then tell her it would be similar or newer. Why not send the newer phone? I think this is the con in all of this. You purchase a brand new phone and then if something happens with that phone while still under warranty, you get a refurbished phone. Constantly taking money from the consumers while making money for themselves.

Went into store

Went into store, picked out 25ultra w my trade in. Ran my credit and approved. Ported number over. Another customer came in and employee said he needed to help him quick. I ran to Walmart and purchased case and screen protector. Come back wait another hour, employee gets my 25ultra out, everything's good to go. Right before it's in my hands I get flagged for fraud for no reason and can't tell me why. Embarrassed and mad I'm forced to leave with no phone. Couple weeks go by and my numbers stuck in limbo because it was already ported...then I get this email when I didn't even kno Att offered 24 fe....what a slap in the face. Absolutely mind blowing.

ATT worst wireless network

This phone company lies about the cost of the monthly phone bills. They say one thing and charge another. When you are trying to get away from them. They make it very difficult they shut your phone service right off. I paid them 1300 and they said I would have to wait 24 hours and it’s been past that amount of time and nothing. So I go to the chat and they tell me 48 hours. How do I know if it will happen then. I will warn everyone I know not to get tangled up with them.

Business operates like a scam

Business operates like a scam. Never came to install my internet. Couldn't talk to a live person to get them out to install. Finally talked with someone after I didn't pay bill for service I never received. Charged me 37.62 reconnect fee and two late fees to connect the internet they never showed up to do before. Scam techniques make it more worth paying than trying to get treated honestly. Company is Crooks but unfortunately have best internet so no choice but to be ripped off and scammed out a few bucks to get the job done and internet.

I am using the AT&T store located in East Brunswick, NJ

I am using the AT&T store located in 755 State Highway 18 South, Space 420, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 for over 15 years. I befriended employees in this store. They very friendly, knowledgeable and always ready to help people with any problems with the phones and/or any other equipment and accessories. There are two people most helpful: one is Trevor, who I know for a very long time, and store manager Tyler.
It is a great pleasure to know them and their management should be very proud to have employees like them.

Trevor, Tyler thank you very much for your help and advice!!!!!

My internet provider was awful

My internet provider was awful, they left me without service for over a week and I work from home. So I went with ATT Fiber internet, and ATT paid my $600 early termination fee with my prior provider plus gave me an additional $200 visa card just because. I can actually work from home everyday now, haven't had one second of downtime since.

Irresponsible ATT Workers

We allowed ATT workers in our property to do their work in our backyard. I had asked them nicely to clean up after they finish their job and to make sure they leave things as they were. I took photos to show the disarray they left upon finishing their tasks five days ago. I shared this information with ATT reps and they have been unable to send someone to arrange those items lying on the ground in the manner they had originally found them. Quite irresponsible!

No Stars

No Stars. I went in this morning, a nice young man was helping me. I think his name was Ben. Well after an hr. He was unable to erase my old info so he would no accept my phone for the 350 trade in amount. I told him I just want my old phone back at this point if he couldn't complete the deal. He said I would have to pay a 55 dollar return fee. What! Are you kidding me? You cant do what we agreed too, so I want my money back. They wouldn't turn my phone back in. The so called manager, called the State Police because I wouldn't pay the return fee. What are the police going to do? the only law broken was bad business.
The manager was also wearing a shirt with poor sexual comments written on it while service customers. Terrible. I am going to file a complaint with ATT as well, This guy needs to be terminated. .

Follow up on poor experience form 10/21.
I went to another store in the next town. The young ladies there fixed all my issues that the Brodheadsville store messed up and ripped me off.

1. I was eligible for an upgrade to a I-Phone 15 Pro, not just a standard 15.

2. It should have been a no cost upgrade. The Butthead at Brodheadsville charged me 350.00. Wrong again.

3. The other store had no problem clearing my trade in phone. They gave me full credit, Another wrong corrected.

4. The Butthead told me the insurance came with the phone and I would have to cancel it in 14 days if I didn't want it. This is where Brodheadsville charged me so the salesman can get his commission. This was an illegal act and I will be going to corporate with this complaint.

DONT GO TO ATT BROADHEADSVILLE AND NOT EXPECT TO BE PAYING WAY TOO MUCH FOR THE EXACT SERVICE'S AND PRODUCTS THET YOU CAN GET 7 MILES AWAY.

I currently have 7 lines with this…

I currently have 7 lines with this company and recently had to exchange a watch for a new one and they charged me 835 activation fee because my other watch quit working. I called customer service to have that $35 removed from my bill and spoke to Ace b who said there was no way that he would remove that that I had to pay that. I am a veteran on disability and I know they can make exceptions. You telling me that a billion dollar company can't reduce a bill by $35? That is ridiculous. I have been a long time customer with seven lines with this company and this would be a good reason to leave this company. This is ridiculous. There is no reason why they can't just get rid of that charge. Poor customer service., Poor attitudes. This company has does not care about their customers whatsoever
