Highly overpriced licenses

Highly overpriced licenses. They are increasing prices every year and making the hosting business hardly profitable. They provide cheaper license rates to big players and small business are being burdened. I wish for some better competitive product.

If you are looking for a company who…

If you are looking for a company who will gradually create worse and worse software while simultaneously increase price Cpanel is the perfect solution.

The amount of issues with Cpanel are unacceptable. I’m working on moving all my client sites off the platform as it’s just not worth the headaches.

It used to be a great platform but over the last 2 years it’s gotten more and more duct tape added to it.

Used to be good and affordable

Product is good but company is not - They were sold to webpros and since then they killed lots of their clients including ones with perpetual licenses for WHMCS - they did increase the pricing over and over - making it very hard to sustain proper business income - They add several add-ons that used to free to become premium options to milk more out of their clients - unfortunately i still use and pay them but have not choice to keep my business running without major interruptions

The $26.99 price for a single account…

The $26.99 price for a single account quickly becomes excessive, it's really insane especially for small businesses or freelancers managing just one website. Compared to free alternatives like CyberPanel, which offer all the necessary features at no cost, the additional expense seems unjustified. Moreover, if the paid service doesn't provide significantly superior features or substantial added value, it's hard to justify the expense. Users often seek the best value for money, and without distinct advantages, opting for a free, more flexible, and scalable solution becomes a much more attractive and economical choice. Ultimately, paying such an amount just to manage a single website appears as an unnecessary and disproportionate expense.

So right before xmas

So right before xmas, when we are closing down for 2 weeks, we learn of a 54% price increase for single user accounts, starting January. No time for us to change, warn clients of a price change (they have 90 days contracts) so we are screwed.

To be expected from Cpanel. This is the final straw for us, we leave in January.

We will be switching to Enhance, running apache/openlitespeed. We will be able to run 50 accounts, for around $7.50, vs $65 on Cpanel.

Get away while you can..

The subscription costs have sky-rocketed the last few years, and at this point I'm confident that they will continue to do so. At the same time, the product has become more and more bloated with things cPanel tries to upsell to _your_ clients. At the most, we had more than 30 cPanel servers. Fortunately, there are now a lot of great alternatives, and there's no longer any reason to go with cPanel. We still have 1 - one - cPanel server left, with about 25 accounts left to move. In a month, the cPanel nightmare will be a thing of the past for us. We haven't missed a single thing about cPanel. We expected some concerns from our customers, but not even a single client has complained! As it turns out, customers aren't really that in love with cPanel as we and others feared in advance.

We always have issue to login and access to our cpanel and they are unable to solve the issue and asking you to login thrugh the namecheap account.
We have issue to login to web mails as well.
Cpanel has no mail app and asking you to add ids to gmail app, therfore if you send an email thrugh the gmail your legal text which you added to footer of email
won't be sent to reciever.
It is much expensive with less services.

I have been using Cpanel for a long…

I have been using Cpanel for a long time and it is a base for our hosting business, however in recent years the prices skyrocketed without offering increased value. It is a good product overall however they recently also blocked direct tickets so they just don't care about the client any more and only want more money. Classic example of corporate greed feeding on small businesses who need to invest into getting clients, increasing server costs and now software is costing so much it is impossible to maintain a profit per client. I am disappointed deeply with Cpanel and wish they get precicely what they deserve!

Never ever investing in Cpanel, WHM, WHMCS ever again!!

For years as a freelance developer since 2001, i had been been using Cpanel and WHM for all my client websites as long as they were fair and practicing ethical business practices!!! But as they grew more and more they went from focusing on Customer satisfaction to now finding ways to fleece their Customers.

The Point is we are paying for the software development, maintenance and support!!! We invest in expensive VPS and provide internal support.. why are they looking into our customer base and count and demand money based on that? - if they say that if our customers for some strange reason want direct support, then the customers can pay them and get support, (considering that they will argue that they might have to support our customers - which in my 30+ yrs has not happened even once cause i sort out the issues myself for them.)

The worst was when they suddenly announced a change in the plans and our host under pressure started to harass us to pay up huge unfair and unexpected amounts in the middle of our subscription we were stuck mid way!!!

This is like internet service providers looking into what we are doing with their internet connection and charge us separately for it for number of devices on my lan and what they are using it for which has nothing to do with them as all plans have a fixed bandwidth and one cannot leach or download beyond a the limit!!!

Thank god for the other Open Source Control Panels that i have moved all my clients to and will never ever look back at Cpanel ever again UNLESS some miracle happens and they go back to practicing ethical business practices...

Getting cpanel is a mistake

cpanel is a panel system full of errors When you install it on your cpanel server, php or mysql does not work, it keeps giving errors. The reason they do this is to force you to buy cloud linux If you reinstall the server twice, they ban your IP address and do not open it. SO BAD CPANEL When you open a support ticket, you get a response very late and they make fun of you
