Exceptional Trans Atlantic crossing where everything the staff did, made us feel very welcome and very special. We finished the cruise with wonderful memories and we felt very blessed to have experienced such a wonderful holiday.
I would recommend this cruise entirely. From start to finish, it was truly wonderful.
We were Princess Grill guests and the experience made us feel like Royalty. It was simply devine!

The service was excellent so was the menu's the queen victoria needs a little attention in certain areas but the most disappointing part was the lack of dancing considering it as without doubt the best ballroom of any cruise ship we have been on the queen victoria on 3 occasions danceing was always at the forefront

Stanley the restaurant manager

Stanley the restaurant manager, he made our holiday fabulous. I unfortunately found the very large restaurant a little claustrophobic as the gap between some of the tables is literally 30cm! I explained this to him and from then onwards, at every sitting, he ensured my table was separate with a stunning view of the sea. We were thanked him generously when we departed. So grateful. He made an amazing cruise absolutely unforgettable, so much so we’ve booked for July 2027…. This time upgraded our dining to Club🙌

Amazing!

Our second time sailing on the Queen Mary 2. It is just our speed. Look, if you want go kart tracks and waterslides and drunk people at 9 a.m., go somewhere else. If you want white gloved afternoon tea service, incredible meals, fascinating talks, the largest library at sea, etc., then Cunard is your best bet. It is such a unique experience being on this incredible ship. Do the transatlantic crossing and get several 25 hour days to ease into the time change!

Fantastic service provided by Cunard

Fantastic service provided by Cunard, Queen Victoria. The Queens Grill restaurant and bar was outstanding with amazing food drinks and service. Attention to detail by the Butler service is second to none. Just turn up for your cruise, relax with like minded guests and let cunard take care of everything else.

How cruising should be.

This was our second time cruising with Cunard and we love the experience. Many of the other cruise lines have gone to huge ships that are floating theme parks but we love the more traditional cruise experience where relaxation is the key. The standard of service with Cunard is excellent and the quality of food is superb. They also enforce their dress code when it comes to the main dining room - no baseball caps and shorts here! Queen Victoria is a beautiful ship where you never feel crowded.

Great cruise from Southampton to New…

Great cruise from Southampton to New York. Weather not great but that can't be helped. Lots to do and staff mostly very friendly, polite and helpful.
Highlight was sailing under the bridge at the entrance to the Hudson. That was amazing. Highly recommend Cunard.
Only complaint. Booked friends and family which was great but because of that not allowed to book a Signature wifi and drinks package. Didn't quite get that.

First time on Queen Mary

This was our first time on a Cunard ship. We took the Queen Mary from England to NYC. It was a lovely ship, great staff and we spent a lot of our time in the Pub for lunch and the Commanders Club bar at the front of the ship enjoying the view.

We did not find the boat to be stuffy and while we are not people who dress up for dinner, we weren't bothered that it was a thing on a few nights on the ship.

Classic Elegance and Exceptional Service on Magnificent Ocean Liner

I love cruising on the Queen Mary II as it brings back the elegance of cruise ships in the past. I have been cruising since 1967 and cruised 300 days last year, so I consider myself a seasoned traveler. I especially love their high tea as it is so elegant. I also love their library as it is so unique. I have found the enrichment lectures also to be great. The QM2 is the epitome of elegance at sea, combining timeless ocean liner grandeur with modern luxury which makes your cruise a truly memorable experience. The staff are truly exceptional and make every guest feel valued & welcome. Whether assisting with the smallest request or going above and beyond to ensure comfort, they consistently demonstrate outstanding dedication and professionalism, making the experience more memorable. When Can I Sail Again

For years, I told myself, *“Cruises aren’t for me.”* Then I had the opportunity to sail transatlantic aboard the Queen Mary 2—and wow, was I wrong.

One voyage on QM2 is enough to understand that Cunard has truly mastered the art of blending old-world elegance with modern luxury. There’s a timeless sophistication to life on board that feels increasingly rare, yet never stuffy or outdated.

My biggest concern was that I’d be bored during days at sea. The reality? Every afternoon seemed to require a nap because there was so much to do. We enjoyed fascinating lectures from the Art History speaker, attended EFFY gemstone presentations (which conveniently concluded with charming collectible charms and a glass of champagne), tried our hand at painting classes, laughed through comedy shows, and indulged FOUR spa visits. The days flew by.

One of the most captivating aspects of the crossing was the passengers themselves. Many embraced the ship’s tradition of elegance, dressing beautifully for gala evenings and maintaining a sense of occasion that perfectly complemented the voyage. It felt like stepping into a more glamorous era. I wish I could drop some photos!

The accommodations were equally impressive. The stateroom bed struck that elusive balance of perfect firmness and comfort, the linens were wonderfully soft, and with the gentle rhythm of the Atlantic beneath us, I slept more soundly than I had in years.

Dining in the Britannia Restaurant was a pleasure in itself. The menu changed daily, offering something new to anticipate each evening, and the portions were thoughtfully sized—refined rather than excessive. That restraint helped me avoid the temptation of the Kings Court buffet, where overindulgence seemed almost inevitable.

And then there was the arrival into New York.

After days surrounded by nothing but sea and sky, the early-morning approach felt almost cinematic. Watching the skyline slowly emerge from the horizon, passing beneath the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, and gliding into New York Harbor aboard a true ocean liner was a moment I won’t soon forget. There was a romance about arriving in New York the way travelers once did—by sea. It felt less like the end of a vacation and more like the grand finale of a remarkable journey.

By the end of the crossing, I had completely revised my opinion of cruising. I will absolutely sail with Cunard again, and this time I’ll happily proclaim it from the rooftops:

**Cruising is, in fact, for me.**

Queen Mary 2 is our favourite ship

Queen Mary 2 is our favourite ship out of all the ships we have travelled on. The only ocean liner left, head and shoulders above the other queens in the fleet

Want to be pampered? Travel in one of the suites and get great service, wonderful food and access to restricted areas.

Largest dance floor on the high seas. Spectacular.

2nd time in 2 years itinerary changed which was Bruges again my favourite. On qm2 . Why bother dressing up people being allowed in the restaurant wearing tracksuit tops or t shirts . Staff not bothered . Won’t be bothering again.

Overall an enjoyable 2 week cruise

Overall an enjoyable 2 week, hassle free experience on the Queen Victoria. The quality in some areas was not as good as our cruise on the same ship in 2024, perhaps due to cost reduction efforts. Internet connectivity needs to be addressed because it’s very expensive and not particularly fast. I can’t believe it needs to be this expensive now Starlink is available almost everywhere. Cold water should be provided free of charge in each state room and particularly on tours with lots of walking. The crew were fantastic throughout.

I would NEVER!!!

I would NEVER!!!! My mother recently boarded the Queen Elizabeth for Alaska. She had a medical emergency on the boat. I was contacted to n Florida. The medical staff didn’t listen to anything I told them about her medical history. I told them what was most likely wrong with her. They didn’t listen. They misdiagnosed her and dropped her off on an island with hardly any medical care and left her there!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a complete nightmare!!!!!! I was RIGHT about what was wrong with my mother and had they listened to me and treated her properly there would have been NO reason to abandon her. On top of that they just sent her an Outrageous medical bill and she purchased their travel insurance! I would never step foot on a Cunard Cruise and I urge you to reconsider. No one plans a medical emergency but should one happen while on their boat there is no telling if you will receive proper treatment or if you will be abandoned and your family will be making an emergency trip. Their medical staff at the very least need MUCH better training. I’m still appalled.

Slow service everywhere

The most frustrating aspect of the cruise was the excessive noise coming from Suite 6155. We had returned to our Princess Grill Suite intending to enjoy a quiet evening on our balcony, read our books, and retire early. Instead, we were subjected to extremely loud music and noise that made our balcony completely unusable and destroyed any sense of peace and relaxation.

What made matters even worse was being told that this activity had been approved by Cunard Head Office. What was obvious, ex the group ex British Airways Staff were known to some of thr crew including the captain. If Cunard knowingly authorises events that will significantly impact neighbouring suites, surely affected guests should be informed beforehand. We paid a premium for a Princess Grill Suite and private balcony experience. Had we known that our enjoyment of that space would be compromised, we could have made different arrangements or at least managed our expectations.

The proposed solution of moving us to a sleeping room elsewhere on the ship was frankly unacceptable. Why should guests who have paid for premium accommodation be inconvenienced because Cunard has chosen to host an event that disrupts the enjoyment of their suite? The inconvenience should not fall on the paying guests.

While our suite itself was clean, bright, and comfortable, there were still small details that seemed overlooked. Only one footstool was provided for two balcony chairs, limiting comfort for couples wishing to enjoy the balcony together. The bathroom was also surprisingly cramped for a suite of this category.

The Princess Grill Restaurant was another disappointment. Although the venue is attractive and the food quality was generally good, service was consistently and noticeably slow. Waiting 15–20 minutes for attention became commonplace, whether ordering drinks, requesting wine service, or simply trying to attract a member of staff. The restaurant appeared understaffed, and this had a significant impact on the overall dining experience.

Several meals also arrived warm rather than properly hot. We returned one dish for reheating, but on other occasions decided not to because we simply did not want to add further delays to an already lengthy dining experience.

What concerns us most is that many of these issues were avoidable. Better communication, more consideration for affected guests, and improved staffing levels would have prevented much of the frustration we experienced.

We already have another Cunard cruise booked and sincerely hope this voyage was an exception rather than an indication of declining standards. However, this experience has undoubtedly shaken our confidence in the level of service and guest care that we have long associated with the Cunard brand.
