Don't go to an incompetent doctor

Dr. Shiloh Lieberman is the worsw Orthodontist ever.
Does not listen to what his patient needs and does his own idea without running it by the patient.

He ruined my teeth by filing them down after I had braces. Who file a patient teeth down without telling them? He was adding stuff and filing so I did not know what he was doing. He said he was polishing..plain idiot.

Turns out he filed half my teeth away. He only stopped when I told him it was hurting.

Told me was in network when he wasn't.
He will ruin your teeth. Do not go to this incompetent dentist

Just renewed my Solstice Plus Plan One…

Just renewed my Solstice Plus Plan One for another 2 year period.
What do you know? Shortly after renewing I broke a molar while eating Starburst(not a good idea).
Got an urgent appointment with a dentist in my area. Solstice Plus Plan One saved me $3000 on getting a crown! Phew. Nice to have this plan in my back pocket when needed!

Determining the actual savings

This may not a problem caused by Dental Plans or Aetna, but there HAS TO be a better way of demonstrating the actual savings that are possible using plans such as Aetna. Two problems: (1) Dentists' statements do not always use the same terms for procedures as the ADA Codes AND they don't show the codes.

Perhaps Dental Plans could require participating dentists to conform to standard ADA terminology and use ADA Codes in their billing.

(2) There is no easy way to find out what the dentist WOULD HAVE CHARGED without Dental Plans.

Perhaps Dental Plans could explain how patients can determine the full prices for dentists' procedures.

Hi Joseph,

We appreciate you sharing your valuable feedback regarding the clarity of savings and procedure terminology.

Fees vary by zip code, region and dentist, so we encourage members to ask for detailed treatment plans, including ADA codes; as many offices will provide upon request.

Make sure your dentist accepts the plan.

It was very hard at first because every dentist on the list I got said, NO, we do not accept the plan We only accept PPO. I had to go through so many before I bought the plan knowing the two I picked do take the plan. You are all very good on the phone with me. Thank you.

It was very easy to review plans and to select a plan. Enrollment was fast and convenient. The prices are fair.
