I was just wondering if anyone knew if I’d be allowed to swap to a 2 bed house with Derwent living. I’m currently in a one bed flat but it’s too small as my grandson stays here a lot whilst his mum... See more

OK i guess.
The paperwork side of everything was smooth, but we've had the keys for over a week now and haven't been able to move into our property yet as we're still waiting for the boiler to be fixed after being in touch with them every day for the past week. I'd give them a better review but that's let them down, the house is great though.

Had no reason to contact Derwent Living…
Had no real contact with Derwent Living over the past several months.
I pay my rent to them, they send me a letter increasing the rent or some useless magazine once in a while Nothing is broken that they need to repair. Currently no complaints about neighbours to report but it's the colder months, i'm sure come spring/summer they will start up again.

What wonderful service......
I can honestly say that the people that I dealt with, went above and beyond to help with all my queries and concerns. And now that I have moved into my lovely little new home I am more than totally satisfied and love the house and surrounding area. Many thanks to all the staff at Derwent living that helped me into my new home....

I'm happy with the flat but it's just the neighbour blasting music out every morning without fail it's getting to the point now where I don't want to sleep because I'm going to get shock out of my sleep with her music and bass

As a leaseholder, not a great experience.
In my opinion, not a great experience, nor value for money, as a leaseholder for the past 20 years with them. When they were a smaller organisation things were quite different; I feel that the size of the organisation now acts against them somewhat. When reporting faults I've found I've often had to chase them up on multiple occasions. Incorrect repair charges are not unusual.
Upkeep of communal areas is not great. Poorly managed maintenance reserves. They nag you regularly for your opinions and feedback, which I'm happy to give, but it feels like it's a fruitless exercise as such feedback never seems to be acted upon. Sorry, Derwent Living, but you did ask!

Drafty back door
After having a very drafty back door for almost 3 years i was finally told that a new one would be fitted. I was given a date that this would be done the date was 4th December that the work would be carried out. I had the day off work on this day. Around 10am a chap knocked on the door and said that he hasn't come to do the work as the door isn't ready and he just wanted to let me know as he didn't think I would get a call (which I hadnt). He said that the job has been rebooked in for 23rd January!!! Not overly impressed with this as I had been waiting weeks. And trying to keep my 4 year old warm with the curtains constantly closed was challenging and a waste of money running and electric fire.
I called to complain to be told to co.plain once the job has been done... not satisfied at all but nothing I can do apart from paying full rent with no help.

Was left 2 days with no heating or hot water with a severely ill family member who had a brain operation 2 weeks prior to then be told that because we were upset on the phone with them after explaining this to their staff and being ignored that we were in fact abusive because of the distress we were put into because of Derwent living.
