Dear DFS Customer Service,

Dear DFS Customer Service,

I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my recently delivered Teno Brass Extending 6–8 Seater Dining Table.

The table was delivered on Friday, 18 July. As the packaging was intact, I did not open the box until Saturday, when I began assembling the table. Unfortunately, while fitting the legs, I discovered that the table had already been damaged. This clearly indicates that the item was either damaged before packaging or during transit.

This is extremely disappointing, particularly given the price and reputation of DFS. I expected to receive a brand-new product in perfect condition, not one that is damaged straight out of the box.

I request that DFS resolve this matter promptly by providing either:

* A full replacement of the dining table at no additional cost, including collection of the damaged item; or
* A full refund if a satisfactory replacement cannot be provided within a reasonable timeframe.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. As the table arrived damaged, it does not meet these legal requirements.

If this matter is not resolved promptly and satisfactorily, I will have no hesitation in escalating my complaint. This will include reporting the issue to the appropriate consumer protection bodies, pursuing my statutory rights, and sharing my experience through review platforms and social media so that other consumers are aware of my experience.

Please treat this as a formal complaint and respond within the next 48 hours with your proposed resolution. I have photographs of the damage and can provide them upon request.

I look forward to your prompt response and an amicable resolution.

Great service

We had a really positive experience with DFS. From the moment we visited the store, the staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. In particular, Kash was extremely helpful and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Kash took the time to understand what we was looking for, answered all our questions, and provided excellent advice.

Recommend sofa selection

We visited the showroom before placing our order to make sure we were happy with the sofa, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and gave us plenty of time to choose. Once we saw it in person, we knew it was the right one for us.

The sofa is exactly what we were hoping for—excellent quality, beautifully made, and incredibly comfortable. It looks fantastic in our home and was definitely worth the investment.

The delivery took around three months, but this was made clear from the start as it was a genuine made-to-order item. The wait was absolutely worth it, and we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. We would happily recommend both the sofa and the company to others.
