I purchased SAME DAY delivery with insurance. My package did not arrive on the same day. I was told the package could be returned to me (it's now lost). I filed a claim which was denied as the claims adjuster pointed to the only eligible services for refunds:

These selections were not visible on the website where I purchased SAME DAY service.
The customer service I received on the phone and on the chat was maddening. One customer service representative told me that he couldn't possibly issue a refund and that I needed to contact the shipper. When I asked him who the shipper was he read my name and address from the order. My claim was denied. I've lost more than $400 in the value of the shipment (no one has provided any information about how to file an insurance claim) plus the $157 I paid for SAME DAY delivery.
Unbelieveably Bad
DHL is among the most expensive and expansive delivery services, yet manages to be consistently incompetent, especially compared to their more budget counterparts. The amount of "missed deliveries" I've had from this company on packages that aren't even "signature required" is astounding.

My medicine was expedited for delivery through DHL. It arrived in Phoenix Arizona on 10/21/2024. Today is 10/26/24 and still no package! They try to say that a company this large doesn't have the technology to track my package from it's wearhouse to USPS. I have had 6 people that claims to be customer service act like "oh well" they show no concern. Even when the shipper called to find my medicine she was put of, treated rude. They act it's no big deal that the package they where paid to deliver that the customer paid for is no loss on them. I feel they are worse than FedEx, they steal the packages and have no shame, just keep changing the due date every time you call. Two packages where sent out the same time. 1 went through USPS, regular mail, and this package that was sent expedited thus costing more money. The USPS was delivered on 10/22/24 the DHL expedited package has still not been delivered and at this point according to this company they don't know where my package is at and are no hurry to find it!
Disservice for people
My sister sent me a letter the 18 of october using the EXPRESS service, hoping I can get the package the very next day, after all we pay for the express service. Nope, today is the 21th at 7:00 pm and.... nothing. Of course they are changing me for the express service. Don waste your time and your money, use FedEx instead

I hope the corporate office reviews all the negative feedback, especially to address the issues caused by certain employees who made all the negative reviews. This would prevent customers from bearing the responsibility for the reckless mistakes of DHL employees, including the Complaint Department.
The package was returned to the shipper’s country because DHL USA submitted the documents late. The items were doctor-prescribed medicines, which are considered food and were therefore disposed of. The shipper attempted to file a complaint for a refund, but the website which was given by DHL USA didn’t allow the shipper’s country name to be entered.
As the recipient, I filed the complaint with DHL USA, providing all the necessary evidence. Although two DHL USA representatives admitted their mistake, the complaint was still denied. Julia Banda/Complaint Dept pointed to DHL's Terms and Conditions as the reason for the denial. When I asked her which specific part applied to the issue caused by DHL USA, she couldn’t provide an answer and then said it’s late submitting documents, but did not mention late by DHL USA, why didn't she to admit it professionally?/covering up mistakes!
The most absurd part is that Julia Banda suggested that I seek a refund through DHL in the shipper's country.
DHL USA seems content to shirk responsibility and avoid compensating their customers. If this isn't stealing, what is the right word to describe such reckless behavior? DHL USA made the mistake but expects DHL in the shipper's country to refund the loss, absolutely they will not do it. Will DHL USA refund other DHL mistakes?Absolutely NOT. It's a selfish, unprofessional, and unethical way to handle the situation. Due to their recklessness, we, the customers, lost time, money, and most importantly, the medicine needed for continuous use.

I own a dropshipping business and i started not so long ago, Dropshipping means you have to order a package en send it to your buyer. And with so much bad luck, the package was sent with this shipping company.. but DHL.. DHL Has my costumer's package stuck on "en route" for almost a whole damn month. This is dangerous for my shop because my buyer can give me 1 star review for incredibly long shipping progress. i sent 2 emails to dhl and they have been ignoring me and skipping them.. That dumb ahh robot chat doesn't do much as well.
i honestly don't know why DHL is not shut down yet.. 0 stars!
Total Nightmare
It is impossible to have a smooth import experience with DHL. Despite H.S codes being provided, dangerous goods documents provided and manufacturers certificate uploaded, they continue to insist that they need more information without indicating what information they need. Their automated system is buggy and customer service is non-existent. They keep promising to call me back before the end of the day but never do. I never have these issues with FEDEX or UPS (and I import a lot).
Rude and unprofessional staff
Rude and unprofessional staff. Call center yyelled and screamed at me only for my delivery not to e delivered 3 days in a row .. the first day they bled it on not havining my gate code for my apartment. I don't have a gate on my apartment. So I was angry. Next excuse was no one was home .I stayed home all day for 3 days in a row only to be told Friday my package was on hold. I los money on order and I los a customer .I'm m livid.

US DHL - unreliable untrustworthy company! Do not recommend. Not only their employees don't do their job, but they lie! Waited 2 days for scheduled (and rescheduled after no show) pick up, they promised that driver was coming, and after no show lied that they tried to pick up and nobody was home. Use FedEx or UPS!

Absolutely horrible. I paid premium for a package to be delivered in 3 business days from the date of order. DHL did not pick up the package for 5 days. Their customer service team doesn't understand English. ChatGPT could answer my questions better. Just fire the entire team and bring in chatgpt if you are going to send irrelevant responses. Then they have the audacity to say "Sure, go ahead file a claim, and we will look into it." Why is this company not shut down yet? My local courier service is 100 times more professional and punctual than DHL. I wish I could sue them and drive them into the ground.
DHL's Irresponsible Service: Lost Package, Blame Shifting, and Lack of Accountability
I am extremely dissatisfied with DHL's service. Despite providing them with the correct address and designating a package room, they failed to deliver my package to the right location. Furthermore, they are refusing to take responsibility for the lost package and are instead instructing me to follow up with their various partners and channels. The package was stolen after it was carelessly thrown on the roadside near the designated package room, even though DHL had access to the package delivery room. Now, they are attempting to evade responsibility by redirecting me from one department to another, claiming that it is not their responsibility to engage with other departments and channels. This lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction is completely unacceptable.

I got my order one day late. My original box was severely damaged and repackaged with several items stolen. I am very unhappy and have reached out to the CEO of the UK branch hoping to get a remedy. I don't think I'll ever want them caring for any other deliveries. I hate thieves. I work hard for what I have.

Do not expect DHL to deliver on Friday. Apparently they like to knock off early and just scan all the packages with bogus status (e.g. "Broker has been notified to arrange clearance" when the package cleared customs the day before, and that is in the tracking!) Pathetic, use UPS or FedEx, at least they work a full day on Friday, usually.

I ordered an item from Amazon and that was supposed to be delivered today. Tracking stated it was out for delivery. I wondered why it did not arrive, then I noticed it was shipped by DHL shipping, Then I knew it would be late & delivered to the wrong address. That happens every time they make a delivery. DHL is the worse most unreliable shipping company in the country.
DHL Sucks
We ordered several products from Apple and keep getting texts that DHL says they tried to deliver to our business. Yet, we have three surveillance cameras that record 24/7 video and no delivery attempt! I had an employee wait till after 9 pm as DHL's last text said they tried to deliver after 8 pm on the previous day. Then we remembered to check the video, and there was NO attempt to deliver! This is frustrating as the contents are over $10,000 in computers we purchased. DHL is a joke. This has been going on for days. I am shocked Apple would use such a sub-par shipping service.

I would give zero stars if I could. The worst delivery company ever. Worthless app. Finally got through to live agent on customer service. Delivery first delayed, then on hold. Agent requested that I agree to check off release of DHL from liability for damage or theft due to my request for change of delivery instructions. I MADE NO CHANGE TO DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS!!! I refused and the agent immediately backed down. Either a scam to cover up damage or a complete clown show. Meanwhile, still waiting for a delivery date.
