Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service, weren't interested in my broken product but most disappointing was the manner i was spoken to on the phone very patronising and belittling. I do not feel as a male caller would have been spoken to in the same manner.
When i rang to complain they were unable to chase up the complaint as the initial rude person didn't even take the time to take any of my details to make notes on there system to say i had called.
Very very disappointed
Never again will I deal with this…
Never again will I deal with this inept, apathetic, energy sucking, stain, disorganised, pathetic excuse again.
Every single encounter is soul destroying, excruciating and a down right waste of time.
If there was ever a company that deserved for all its staff to be made redundant and to be lost to the abyss (I'm a socialist... or was).
Ordered two items on two separate days…
Ordered two items on two separate days and paid for specified delivery date and times. Curry’s then decide to deliver whenever they fancy delivering, like a week later! No communication or offer of a refund.....just a fraudulent service with false advertising.

Faulty AirPods
Bought a pair of AirPods Pro in August 2020 for £219. February 2021 they have developed a fault where only one AirPod will work. I’ve tried to reinstall/reset etc as per the troubleshooting guidelines but they just won’t work. I went back to my local Wigan store where I bought them from for an exchange. I had the original paper receipt and also the email receipt. The people at the store informed me that they weren’t doing refunds or exchanges and that I would have to travel out of town to either Bolton or Warrington. I haven’t ventured out of town since the start of this covid situation. I travel to work which is local and that’s it. There are restrictions on unnecessary travel and going into other areas can incur a fine if your unfortunate. Anyway I wasn’t in the best of moods (I wasn’t abusive with or confrontational with the staff as I appreciate they are following company guidelines) and left my AirPods at the front of the store as they were of no use to me and I couldn’t be bothered trying to negotiate any further. Might seem a bit drastic to some but all I wanted was an exchange. What’s so difficult about that? I’ve bought a number of appliances in the past two years from there but no more. It seems customer care is secondary to profit.

Faulty Panasonic tv
Bought a tv from curry’s 18months ago,tv now doesn’t work, curry’s are refusing to do anything saying the 1 year warranty has run out, after being on the phone to head office today we seemed to be getting there, the girl told me to take tv down to curry’s it world be sent off for a fault assessment and would get payment charge back if there’s was a problem also she said we could have a replacement on loan while we wait for repair diagnosis, gave me a reference number and said she was getting in touch with my local branch as she was talking to me and to go down straight away and it would be sorted. Off I went with tv only to be made to look a fool as the manager says they’ve haven’t offered a replacement on loan for years, and no record of my ref number. I’m absolutely disgusted with curry’s and their customer services, tried to ring straight back and find who I had spoken to but other woman clearly tried to fob me off In mid sentence by cutting me off..shocking behaviour.
Had a fridge on 4 years cover
Had a fridge on 4 years cover. Rang for a repair. Told by Alex nothing on the screen for my fridge. He then put the phone down on me.had to buy a new one. Not currys. Now I have just received paperwork telling me my cover runs out on 24th April. Would I like to renew? NO.
Pay 6 months later for an extra £200 😂
Needed a laptop pretty bad so I went on to curry’s Pc world and they had the one I wanted the MacBookair 2020 M1. Didn’t want to shell out £999.00 all at once.
There buy now pay 6 months later made no sense especially when no matter what you get hit with a 24%apr +£200 extra...for WHAT... WHY. Because I want to spread it a bit.
Why is it I can buy a £15,000 car with 0% interest or a £1,500 sofa but I can’t get a laptop without giving you free money.
For me your system annoyed me and didn’t make sense but it’s not just this company where ever I looked it was the same. So I went to the one place that doesn’t rip people off for 20% the product value and bit the bullet out of spite and bought it from Amazon.
I wonder how many peoples minds are changed when there at the checkout when they see 4 months worth of electricity or 1 third there rent added for no reason.
No refund after a month for a cancelled…
No refund after a month for a cancelled item!
I placed one order in error and cancelled it straight away. I then placed another order for two items which I returned the next day. When I checked my finance plan, the cancelled order was still showing and one of the items I had returned was still showing. I have spoken to many people though the chat and on the phone, I’ve been fobbed off and told to ring creation instead, but told by creation that it’s currys fault. I eventually got the other half of the returned order removed from my finance account but still the cancelled order is there after an entire month. I have no idea what to do as everytime I call up they say they are sorting it out but every time I look it’s still there! Will I have to pay £650 for a dyson I never received??
If I could give them zero I would
If I could give them zero I would. BEWARE. There are a catalogue of people due refunds and not getting them. They use every excuse under the sun to delay and avoid refunding people, in direct contravention of the consumer rights act. We took delivery of a washing machine that was faulty on day one. Fob off after fob off ensued. As of three weeks later we still have no refund, no action, nothing. This is a very common story if you google it. They are taking peoples money and knowingly ignoring the law. It is shameful. AVOID!!!
I've been paying for mastercare…
I've been paying for mastercare insurance for many years without a claim.
Now, I need them they do not want to know.
With the amount of insurance I've paid, I could have bought a new cooker.
Crap service
Crap service, I purchased a tv afew years ago and have 5 years warranty, as the tv’s hdmi cable port wasn’t working properly, curries decided to take tv for repair and then they damage the tv in transit and try to flog me off with less then half the price for the tv, I regret buying from them, and the service is so crap, and have rude staff dealing with customer. Overall never buy from them !!! U’ll live to regret it
Fake price promise is a scam
Fake price promise that they refuse to match even if it meets their T&Cs. They said they they won't honour it and were highly unprofessional in calling other online businesses scams - there appears to be only one dishonest company here.
On 2 other price match requests they delayed their response to me and in the meantime changed the product offering so the bundle I wanted showed as out of stock - except they still stock the items separately and the item isn't in high demand.
Shocking customer service
Purchase a dishwasher online which was faulty within a week. Trying to organise a return through so-called Teamknowhow is a joke - automated telephone service which just tells you to contact the manufacturer and hangs up. CurrysPCWorld clearly dont want to handle customers. Last time I purchase anything from this shower........1 month and still cant get any joy from them
If 0 stars was an option...
Ordered a kitchen appliance on 30th December 2020 (the item was marked as "in stock") with a delivery date of 5th January 2021. It is now 24th February and the item has still not been delivered.
Currys PC World have not made ANY effort to update me on the status of the order despite the fact it was paid for upfront.
When trying to contact Currys these days via phone you have to navigate a complex automated system, often ending with being told to "go online", before being hung-up on. When you do go online and use the Web Chat feature, you find that the employees there cannot solve simple issues (such as providing an email address to direct complaints to).
COVID or not, Currys are providing a shocking customer service. Safe to say I have demanded a full refund, and will never shop with them again. I would urge other customers to do the same - there are much better electronics/appliance retailers available!
To incompetence and beyond
It's hard to know exactly where to start when it comes to the months-long festival of frustration that has been my experience of shopping with Currys. Here are the main details:
- Broken fridge freezer delivered last October
- Currys refused to get it refunded for several months while I had to act as a go-between with the repair company (they're not prepared to help with this themselves - cheers Currys, I loved spending hours on the phone doing your job for you)
- Repair company finally gave up and issued an uplift number so I could request a refund
- Currys did not turn up at the scheduled time to pick up the broken fridge, nor did they ring to tell me that they weren't coming - I only found out when I rang them to check, only then to be informed that they weren't coming until the following day after all
- I'm now praying that the replacement fridge I bought elsewhere arrives later than the Currys pick up (assuming they're actually coming this time), otherwise there'll be no room to install it while the old broken fridge is still taking up space and I'll be left without a fridge during a pandemic.
Congrats Currys - you've really excelled yourselves here. Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever received at every step of the process. You've now joined Ryanair in the esteemed list of companies that I will gladly spend money to avoid, given how hilariously awful the experience of doing business with you has turned out to be.
Obviously I haven't received the refund either (in the region of £900) - going by the comments below, I might have another lengthy wait on my hands there too. Joy!
DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS
DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS, use Amazon or something better instead.
I bought a laptop and it was faulty day 1. They won't issue a replacement until they check the laptop which takes approximately 3 weeks+(1 week to get to some remote warehouse and 2 weeks for inspection most likely). You will spend a long time asking for updates over the phone and live chat and every time they will give a generic response, its no fault to agents ofc they are just forced to say the same thing for everyone.
"Ill send an email to expedite your delivery but I cannot do anything else"
Just avoid them, its not because of the coronavirus, they just have a really outdated process where currys comes first not the customer, and they probably have a huge backlog of refunds they are going through manually and making the customer wait.
Terrible customer service
I have a faulty tv. To get through to customer service takes 30 mins at least then after multiple holds and different departments, I have been cut of multiple times. Disgusting customer service and I still do not know what is happening with my claim . Worst customer service I ahve ever experienced.
